Indeed if you use WP 5.5 then you need to use Newspaper 10.6.1 or 10.3.7 because the compatibility was added only in 10.3.6.1
What you can do is to use and WP under 5.5 or update the theme.
Now I understand that your website is base on WpBakery, what you need to to is to use enable tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Standard pack and WPBakery, do not activate tagDiv Cloud Library because these plugins are not compatible.
Now because you have an old version, is possible that after update to appear some problems, but most of them we should be able to help to fix.
Unfortunately there is no plugin or tool that can convert the content made with WPBakery in content for tagDiv Composer, sorry!
What I suggest is to try this on staging or sub-domain to not affect the live website and after the update is stabilized you can change it on live website.

You are using a pro demo, with a cloud header, those are not using the ads from theme panel. Pro demos are made using tagDiv Composer and cloud templates, all these can be edited with tagDiv Composer and the ads are set in ad box element -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-ad-spots/ ; the ad box has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png

Usually this problem appear only when you are using a pro demo made with tagDiv Cloud Library and you have enabled WPBakery plugin. We recommend to use only one of them, not both, please check the plugins that you have enabled and let only tagDiv plugins.

I think that the problem is that you have set an overlay header as global in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/aL31ECR.png this will apply on entire website.
What you can do to this this, is to set a different cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library as global, then edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/383IVrI.png select the header manager and set that overlay header -> https://i.imgur.com/4FVw8Xg.jpg

The widget section will apply for footer or default sidebar only for standard demos -> https://i.imgur.com/L3FjWCk.jpg, if you are using a pro demo, these are build using tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library, and it can be edited entire with tagDiv Composer.

I tried to import a new section with ‘cloud library’ on an existing page with content. It didn’t work and since that time I can no longer edit the blocks on this page (but it still works on the other pages). What can I do to edit existing blocks in TD Composer?

If you are using Cloud library templates you will need to edit this file: wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/single/tdb_single_comments.php
If you do not use a cloud library template then you could use a child theme for this.
But if your setting is overwriten it should be because of the first option presented here.

After I create a new template from my theme’s cloud template library, save it, and close it, I can’t edit it anymore because the button “Edit with Tagdiv Composer” disappears. And that’s strange because at the first two templates I have installed, the button appears. I think it may be a memory limit of some sort.

At the moment there is no option to preset a template for each page but what you can do is to create one template, save it and after that you can copy the code of the page: https://www.screencast.com/t/R8MPhANso ; https://www.screencast.com/t/dvLw4KzZB and you cna use this shortcode on the next page you. Please note that when you will open the new page using tagDiv Composer you will receive a notice that states ” This content has not been created with Tagdiv Composer” simply resave that page and that will work.
Unfortunately for the moment CPTs cannot be used with Cloud library templates, only with standard templates from theme panel. You can make them as you can see in our guide here:https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/

My problem is I would like to create a general page template for all my content pages (not posts). Like I mentioned my “About”, “Contact”, “Woocommerce” pages, etc… Currently these just are pages with content that’s added by the Classic Editor.
I don’t want to build each page with the TagDiv page builder invididually. The only thing that makes them different is their textual content so not handy if I would have to design them each. Also when I want to change the layout a bit for pages I would have to change them all. But there is no way to assign a Cloud Template to all pages it ssems.
In your second video you don’t show how you would assign a single post template to a specific custom post type. I’ll give an example. If I create a “Recipes” custom post type and I would to create a Single Template that only should be applied to posts of this “Recipe” type. How would I assign the Cloud Template I created only to these Recipes and not to all posts of all post types?

Yes, unfortunately at the moment all the viewports are as 1. You can hide an element on one viewport. You can now edit your mobile viewport if you choose to use a Cloud Library Mobile template. I’ve just bought the newspaper theme last week and starting to working with it on a development site. I imported the Gourmet Pro Demo and I really like the flexibility of the theme a lot but now I come across a few issues. I
The pages I created (i.e. Contact Page, Woocommerce pages, About us page, …) don’t have the same layout as the rest of the site. Way smaller container width, other font, etc … I was looking for a way to define a general layout for pages with the Cloud Templates but I can’t find a way to do that? Is this possible?
I don’t want to “build” each page individually actually with the TagDiv builder. That would be a hassle. I would like to create a general layout for them so we can just inject the textual content for that page in the layout.
Secondly I would like to create a “single post” layout for a custom post type I created. I would like them to look a bit different thant the single post layout that has been imported by the Gourmet PRO demo. How can I do that?
P.S. I am a developer so I can write code myself 😉 If it’s not possible in the UI but it can be done by code that’s also fine for me!

There are 2 categories:
Cloud library templates
Standard templates.
Everything that is found in Cloud Library templates are fully editable using tagDiv Composer. Flex Blocks are fully editable using tagDIv Composer and. You cannot add author photo on blocks.

Newspaper theme will not affect on post content only on post template.
If your category pages are cloud libray templates you will need to edit the template using tagDiv Composer, right click on the element and press delete.

I do not quite understand, that error appear when you are using tagDiv Composer on a page ? if yes it can be from some extra plugins that you are using, you need to check this, also make sure that you are using the last theme version, Newspaper v10.3.7.
If you want to use the cloud for pages, you can import sections and blocks using this button from here -> https://i.imgur.com/FB7vrUb.jpg these elements will be set at the bottom of page.

I understand, for you is importing the template in wrong way, normal this problem should be solved if you disable tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library, delete them and re-install these plugins from Newspaper > Plugins.

I’m trying to place an image in a Cloud template for a header I have created.
If I place an image in the portrait view of the viewport options, it automatically replaces the image in the mobile view as well. And vice versa – if I place an image in the mobile view, it replaces it in the portrait view.
I tried using both the Header Logo element and the Single Image element and it does the same for both.
Is this a bug or am doing something wrong?

If these errors appear only when tagDiv Composer is enable, is possible to be something internal, as I can see in your screens our builder can not find some code for @tdb-modal and #tdb-modal-website-manager, these elements are cloud elements from tagDiv Cloud Library, we’ll make some more investigations via email.
