Please note that we do not recommend using the child theme, sorry! Most of the theme files were moved into the tagDiv composer plugin as per the requirements of Envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css, as there are very few files left in the main theme as Envato, requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

If you want to remove the ads from a certain post you can us a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and do not set any ads in that template, after that set the template on the post you do not want to have ads.
The ads on pages can be set using tagDiv Composer and set ad box where you want to have ads ( but in this can you need to check the ads from header and footer ).

The comments.php in the Child-Theme-Folder is ignored. How can we override this File comments.php ?
Here seems to be the master /wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/comments.php.

To change the overall width in general is not possible. In locations where the composer can be used (like pages and cloud templates) the content can be stretched, rows have a few width settings for it – http://prntscr.com/nzt6tu This will allow wider layouts.

That is not an error, that is how the mobile theme plugin works. When the mobile theme plugin is enabled, you will have to create 2 versions for each page. One for desktop with the composer or in any way possible, and one for mobile with the simple mobile editor (can’t be built with the composer)

So you will have to edit the pages and enter content in the mobile editor, it should be at the bottom of the edit page screen – http://prntscr.com/o0abx0
In the mobile editor you can enter text, images, shortcodes should work as well.
If no content is added in the mobile editor for pages, the page will be empty on mobile.
If the mobile theme is not active, the same content from desktop will be displayed on mobile.

I’ve noticed that the sidebar appears if I switch the Homepage from static to ‘show the latest articles’ but directly with TD Composer, not in wordpress.

thanks for your tipp, but this was not helpful. As I mentioned in my first post we activated all tagDiv-Plugins – especially the tagDiv-Composer. But the design is furthermore crashed – please have a detailled look on the website http://www.cadzand-online.de.

1. In order to lower the height of the Smart Snap Header you need to use a custom css or you can use the header manager and build the header how you want.

Please make sure that the tagDiv Composer https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/ is activate and you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.

You could remove the function mentioned in that topic, and that should remove the live ajax search. By a setting it is not possible unfortunately.

Before the 9.7 update is was possible to use one of the theme single templates for CPTs, in a child theme, and also customize them if needed. But after the latest updates when most of the theme files were moved in the composer plugin, that is not possible anymore. Having them displayed with a different post template is not possible with theme settings at the moment. Maybe an option or a new solution will be provided in the future, can’t say for sure. Sorry for the inconvenience.

You know, I’ve been happy this time (thus far) around in my working with this theme. (My third time).
But gotta mention how much of a pain it is to have so much work done and have it reversed with disappearing soft returns. Nobody likes having to do the same work repeatedly so’s to fix these problems.
Right now, I’m having to convert a page with TD composer into one without it so’s to avoid this hassle.

Same problem here. I’m also trying to figure out how to add a sidebar to my homepage. Category pages and post pages are fine. I think it has something to do with the tagdiv composer, which one used on a page, prevents us from using the sidebar on that particular page.

Hello! My website is https://savoriurbane.com/ After the last theme update (I did it today) some of the widgets on the sidebar disappeared so I had to put them back one by one. OK. Everything seemed fine until I edited the Homepage with TD Composer and modified only the content of some blocks (I changed the recipes according to season). So when you attempt to edit the pages with WPBakery there is a problem? From what I can see you have (or the plugin did automatically) updated the WPBakery plugin to version 6.0.3, and from user feedback there might be problems in this case.
The version of WPBakery provided with the theme is 6.0.2 which should work fine. We don’t recommend to update the plugin before we first test it and include it with the theme

I don’t think it will be easy to do unfortunately, if even possible. Also after the latest theme updates most of the files were moved in the tagDiv composer, so they can only be modified there. When the theme and plugins are updated the modifications will be lost.
From what I know this request is added on our list and it may be considered for implementation in future updates. But I can’t say for sure when or if this will happen. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
