You can using the filter tab when you open the block using tagdiv composer. Just find the category code (click the All Categories dropdown and look for News category code) and add it using a minus sign (e.g. -4) where it says Multiple Categories Filter http://prntscr.com/lse2eg

I have upgraded my site located at https://www.theapex.racing to WordPress 5.0 and Newspaper 9.2.
After the upgrade, I am able to use tagDiv Composer to edit and save custom Cloud Templates. However, I am unable to save any changes made to pages created with tagDiv Composer. After clicking save, it just spins without ever completing the process.
I have checked the updated theme requirements and I am meeting all of them, including having the PHP memory limit set to 128 MB.
It says this:

We constantly try to improve the automatic updating process of the tagDiv composer and social counter plugins (the others have to be updated manually) but there are still cases where it fails. It works in most cases however.
When it fails all that could be done is to update manually, monitor after a theme update if this is needed.
Regarding the lazyload issues, some users report that they have cleared the browser cache, website cache etc and the problem was gone and the lazyload works for them as intended.
We will still monitor the situation and continue the investigation to hopefully identify what could be causing problems with the new theme lazyload implementation.

hello, I updated the WordPress to 5.0, but here is the problem. How I can use the editing functions like drop caps, styling quotes, and many more. Or I have to still use the classic editor (how to enable it). Also, the saving speed of page after editing in the tagdiv composer is very slow, it takes so much time and spoils the very fun of editing.

@frencheagle What exactly is the error you are referring to? I inspected the website but there is no block 6 from what I can see at the moment. Some more details would be helpful.
@ML Please check if the tagDiv composer is active after the update. Maybe it has not updated automatically, in that case there should be an update button in the theme plugin panel

Thanks for the speedy reply, However when I open up the theme (most recent download) the plugin is not there (you can not follow the instructions as they are out of date, but I tried my best). So i went the file entitled plugins and looked and it was not there (amp, cloud library, composer etc were present).It is strange, but had i not downloaded the theme several times to find it I would do it again LOL.
Same here, No images or thumbnails after updating wordpress and newspaper theme. Also when I went to edit the home page I got a notice saying that the page was not created with div composer which it was)
Unchecking Lazy Load seems to have worked for restoring the images as a temporary fix. I’m a little nervous to make any other changes to my site for the time being, so if there are any other issues, I’m not aware of them yet.

The second image, the one with composer, there the settings apply only for that flex, and do not take the category from theme panel, that is just a filter to the direct flex block.

In some cases, the mod_substitute module default configuration may cause a timeout error on TD Composer when loading large pages . To fix this you have to add the following lines in the .htaccess file located in your website main folder:

Then in the front via composer, i use filter and i change it in every category : http://prntscr.com/lrv4mz
The issue is that all categories inherit the filter in the image above and not a specific one for each category.
I have ready the documendation but there is no answer to this.
I would like when i visit a category to see all the related articles in this category.

Thanks – the tagdiv composer was required to be updated.. I updated it and now the shortcodes are gone and my home page looks normal now.
I have also disabled the lazyload and the thumbnails are back – Thanks.
I have another query – i had updated my theme via Envato Plugin automatically. Is there anyway to downgrade in a similar fashion automatically if required.
