Hi guys,
Since the update I guess, I cannot add new element, drag & drop does not show the “green label” where I can drag my component :
A bug ?
Thanks,
Alex
WPBakery Page Builder works fine, and with tagDiv Composer loads the server 100%
Example page of what has happened: anything built with TagDiv composer:
http://thegayguidenetwork.com/visit-britain/
I restored version 8.74 from my backup (theme only) but this didn’t correct. EVERYTHING was working yesterday while I was working on the site. The ONLY think I updated in the last few days, was the Newspaper theme this morning.
Thanks for the support. I don’t use TagDiv Composer, as such that option is not needed for me. How can I disable/De-activate that? I know that it comes pre-installed with the theme but I don’t want any add-on weight on my site which ultimately has an effect on page-load time of the site. If there is no such option please consider to add it in the next update.
I updated js_composer.zip and the main page worked even without the activated tagDiv Composer.
tagDiv Composer does not need to be activated?
Getting this error since doing the upgrade. Re-installed theme from fresh file, still getting it. I’ve deactivated every plugin and still get the error when the td_composer plugin is active:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 103809024 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /xxxxxxxxxxxx/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_util.php on line 1381
Try to re-install the latest theme by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Remove and delete the composer, install it again from the theme plugins panel

Increase the memory more if possible, that could be insufficient. Clear the cache and purge CDN files if you use it. Let us know.
Hello evilspyboy,
Please try to edit your homepage again and check if you have added such a custom title to your counter section. I have tested on my side and it seems to work as expected. Also, try to add again that element, clear all the caches and check the results. You can make some test to make a new page and add this element with TD Composer and see the results. In both cases, the custom title should work as properly.
Thanks for the message!
yeah, I am experimentig with this template and woocommerce, it isnt going to work. The stlying and presentation options for the woo-stuff just isnt there and too time consuming to add and maintain.
I want the benefit of having the TD composer and a woocart.
for basic things it might work out, but this client has at least 100 items all with advanced variations.
oh well, I’ll keep looking for something. Maybe a woocommerce VC template or something.
Thanks for the reply.
Hi,
All the theme elements can be found in a list using tagdiv composer pagebuilder – https://www.screencast.com/t/okJgGNH9 If you want to copy the shortcode and use it somewhere else, you can add it to the page content using tagdiv composer, save the page and then check the backend editor. For example block 1 – https://www.screencast.com/t/fVawWAPdcYs – https://www.screencast.com/t/HzJp1y6x9yar
Thanks!
When i try to (re)install Tagdiv plugins (like composer and mobile theme) i get the following message. On mobile devices my site is a mess now. What can i do to solve this?
PLUGINS DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY
The following plugins were disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newspaper:
tagDiv Composer
Hi,
I’m creating my front page using the built in composer. I have one large row spanning across 2/3 of the page from the left, and one small row (like a sidebar) that spans approx 1/3 of the page. I would like to have an image here with text beneath it. But I can’t find any option for this in the TagDiv composer.
If anyone can help me with this, this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

use wp rocket cache. I tried to put WP Super Cache but it did not help

Hi,
So before updating the theme and composer there was no problem, and after the update there is an overload. That should not be, if anything it would be better since we removed an additional plugin (multi-purpose) and included it’s features in the tagDiv composer.
Maybe this is a server limitation, please check the theme system status
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check if the same thing happens if you only have theme plugins active, with no theme modifications made.
Thanks
Hi,
Those are placeholder images for multi-purpose elements used by the composer. We will try to find a different implementation for these images in the future, this is added on our list. Sorry for any inconvenience created by those images.
Thanks
Hi,
If the page was built with the tagDiv composer there would be no problem in that regard.
The first thing to check would be the theme requirements, system status section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is imperative that the parameters mentioned in the guide are configured properly. Insufficient resources can cause many issues with the theme or the plugins, if needed ask your hosting provider to increase them as specified.
If there is no need for modifications in that matter, in some cases the solutions from these topics worked for blank pages and other composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Additionally try deactivating all plugins as a quick test, leave only theme plugins active. Check if this has any effect.
Let us know the results after trying these suggestions.
Thanks
Hi,
That is the recommended and main page builder in the theme, the tagDiv composer. Our composer will improve more over future updates, as it has up to this moment. There are many more new features to come.
Visual composer is still provided in the package as an optional page builder.
Once you activate the tagDiv composer plugin (it should be already active)
All you have to do is to create a new page and start buiding
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wpPLUmcneBe
The tagDiv composer had more elements (multi-purpose) added by a separate multi-purpose plugin. In the latest theme update the additional plugin was removed and those elements are all available in the tagDiv composer plugin.
Let us know if you have more questions or you need help with something.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, in our theme the front-end Visual composer (now WPBakery page builder) is disabled. This was a decision made when the theme was created. You could enable it if this is and check if it works properly.
There is a modification in the code mentioned here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-enable-frontend-editor-mode-in-visual-composer/
Thanks
Hello,
I updated to version 8.5.7. But all of a sudden all 3 TagDiv plugins automaticaly deactivated. AMP, Composer and Social counter. When i try to activate them i see this: http://i65.tinypic.com/2cgilc.jpg/
How can i fix this?
Thanks!
Hi,
I just tried the Instagram widget on a page, one added with the composer and one as a sidebar widget
– https://www.screencast.com/t/a8IU5GGdH6LQ
Result – https://www.screencast.com/t/n13qyC1P1v4
So everything seems to work as intended. If you could provide a link to this issue on your website, I will take a look.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check the theme update changelog here
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tBCVPKUzm
It is specified that the multi-purpose is now part of the tagDiv composer, you can remove the plugin, there is no need for it anymore. All the multi-purpose elements and options are now included in the tagDiv composer.
By an oversight the multi-purpose plugin is still provided in the theme package. Sorry for the created confusion.
Thanks
Hi,
If you use the WPBakery Page Builder provided with the theme, there is no need to register anything
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
The block title text color and background color are not available in the WPBakery plugin. Only the tagDiv composer has these option. Our composer will be further integrated with the theme and it will receive more features over future updates.
Thanks
Hi,
There is only one inline article ad spot, this will apply to the whole website. All the posts will display it the same.
If more ads are required the easiest way would be to use a plugin. The AdRotate plugin is recommended by other theme users which desired more ad capabilities. Some info about it here
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-ads-in-wordpress-with-adrotate-plugin/
– https://ajdg.solutions/manuals/adrotate-manuals/
In a coming theme update there will be changes to how the post pages are created. The tagDiv composer will be integrated with the post templates. So besides the default article ads you could use additional ad boxes.
Thanks
I got that email subscription form to work on homepage using TD Composer.
How would I show it on sidebar for the whole site.
And I would like to see that email subscription form as pop-up just like other email forms after few seconds of page load?
REPLY
I have updated the theme today and since then my tagDiv Composer is not activating.
