Hello,
I’m trying to create my homepage but every time I tried to drag in a section or block I just get the waiting circle and nothing happens. I followed the video tutorial but every time I try to add anything I just get the loading circle.

Hello,

The element you mention is a simple image box element. it is an image with a custom link set to it. You can change that link to whatever url you prefer from the tagiv composer block settings. It will no detect posts or have sorting options. for that you will need another block element. The image box is just an image and url.

Thank you!

These screenshots are from a static page with tag div composer right? I’m using the regular index page with sidebar and the template “M5”. I already modified the posts displayed with WordPress settings but it wasn’t the solution sadly :'(

Hi,

I am using Block 4 on my home page (full width) but I only want 2 collumns.

How do I set block 4 to show 2 collumns?

Thanks
Richard

You could embed a map in a raw HTML element of the tagDiv composer on pages, such as in this demo for example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_construction/
https://www.screencast.com/t/wStjmRRE
Or try with a plugin if needed

I mentioned visual composer because you mentioned above that vc works for posts and I provided the guide for you to see that even though VC works for posts by default, it is not recommended to be used in our theme except for pages. Exactly as the tagdiv composer. For the moment there is no post editor tested and compatible with our theme not even VC.

Thank you!

A few moments ago, after a few days that I did not modify my pages, I opened elementor from my homepage and the broswer gave me this error. I can no longer edit any page I created, not even with the other td composer editor (integrated into my theme).

I’ve already cleared the broswer cache but it does not work.

I’m afraid I’ve touched something in the htaccess file these days.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

Is this what you are after? https://www.screencast.com/t/Jy2UhqgaDADg
If yes, try to add this code on the page css in the tagdiv composer:

Hi,

This could be caused by insufficient resources, there are some theme requirements you could check in the theme system status
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also in some cases there was a different issue you could try this solution as well
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Let us know the results.

Thanks

Hello, I have done that, deactivate tagdiv social counter and installed it again.
But I’m getting these errors in the plugins page.
————————————————-
TD Composer – This plugin requires Newspaper v8.7 but the current installed version is Newspaper v8.5.

To fix this:

– Delete the TD Composer plugin via wp-admin
– Install the version that is bundeled with the theme from our Plugins Panel
———————————————–

I keep getting the above error plus when I check my site’s home page I see these errors showing on home page https://www.dropbox.com/s/vgewn3t6niajxka/frontend.jpg?dl=0
But I have deleted and updated tagDiv social counter twice, and the theme is also uploaded through the bundle.

Hello,
I’m writing to see if anyone has experienced this and can provide some tips we could use to troubleshoot.
At some point, the mobile menu and mobile search button stopped working, when our site is viewed on a phone. (Viewing the page in responsive/mobile view on a desktop Chrome/Firefox works fine.)
The odd thing is, the menu/search button works on most single article pages, but not on pages which include blocks listing video stories. (We found this by deleting blocks one by one, until we found that blocks with video seem to ‘break’ the link to the mobile menu.)
Example can be found on https://www.caymancompass.com, where the search or menu buttons do not respond to touch. This means that when the home page is viewed on a phone (android or iPhone), the buttons for menu and search do nothing.
We are using the regular theme, not the mobile theme plugin.

We have other sites using this theme, without these problems. We cannot find any obvious differences though.
Our live site is still at Newspaper 7.3, due to some custom code required by the boss, which needs to be rebuilt to work with themes newer than 7.5. Any hints (that don’t involve full upgrade to 8.7+) would be appreciated.
We tried: turning off Autoptimize and WP SuperCache, clearing cache in Cloudflare, upgrading to the latest visual composer, downgrading visual composer, turning off some plugins we added, removing and replacing blocks on home page, commenting out CSS, taking out Javascript and/or CSS from Autoptimize.
It could be something simple we missed. Any hints would be appreciated.

Hello!

How could I incorporate the coloured button bar “Bulevardul comediei”,”criza comunicarii” etc. as being a whole separate menu? They were added page by page with TD Composer as buttons.
URL: http://festinpebulevard.ro/n/
I’d like them to be visible on each page. Is there any option to add another menu bar?

Thanks!

Hi,
I have a two problems with td-composer on child theme of Newspaper 8.7:

– Switching from Newspaper theme to Newspaper child-theme, the plugin page says “td-composer/td-composer.php è stato disattivato a causa di un errore: Il file del plugin non esiste.” (td-composer is deactivated cause an error. The plugin file doesn’t exists).

– Now td-composer doesn’t work to edit a page. It just loads to infinite.

How can I fix it?

Thanks

Sorry Bogdan but do not understand what to do with…
I delete the page and did another one so I have the page as before with the Theme’s default sidebar. All I want is to change the background of the column describing About Que Pasa to green, just the page content not the sidebar. See Page
Could you tell me what you mean “step by step” within the Visual Composer

Hi,

Now you can install a demo if you wish, as a quick start
https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper
https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/

The tagDiv page builder and multi-purpose plugin will allow you to create pages
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

When active the Visual composer will appear in the dashboard as well as in the page edit screen
https://www.screencast.com/t/YlVoZYncD
https://www.screencast.com/t/xXRGpIExgD

The tagDiv composer will appear for admins either when creating/editing a page
https://www.screencast.com/t/Hk5oeLDzDHy
When viewing the pages screen, for each page
https://www.screencast.com/t/5ismLSF7Mbw
Or in the admin bar when viewing a page
https://www.screencast.com/t/Fni36pK2O

If it does not appear in these locations try to deactivate all other plugins except theme plugins, see if this has any effect. Let us know the results.

Hi,

Yes, VC can be used on posts but it was never supported in our theme. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Thank you!

Hello,

If you use the blog and post template, then you cannot control which categories will show on the homage. It will simply show a list of all your latest posts no matter the category.
If you want to show particular categories, you will have to use a static page and create your layout in visual composer.
We recommend using the tagdiv composer (since newspaper 8) and updating to the latest version. You use a very old version of the theme.

Thank you!

Bogdan B.
tagDiv Staff

Hello,

Sorry but unfortunately on such an old theme version we cannot say for sure why this happens. If you updated your WordPress and visual composer plugin and not the theme. then the error can come from there.
If you want to have green text just over the image background, you should make them different rows in visual composer. Do not use the same row for all elements as yopu will not be able to target them individually.

As for the sidebar issue, you most likely have an open html tag that breaks the layout. Please try to recreate the page using rows and elements from vc and no custom html tags.

Thanks

When I try to open the TDC it does not load. The plugin is installed and activated and up to date

Hi,

Indeed some settings are only available with the tagDiv composer. The background title is not available in Visual composer unfortunately. You could use the general headers background color setting (ant text if needed), it will apply to block titles as well

Thanks

Hello,

Please install the multi-purpose plugin. That will provide the options you seek in the tagdiv composer.
As for the image element, please use an inline single image element.

Thank you!
