Hi Catalin… problem resolved thanks to guidance from Simion.
Basically theme system status was showing that home url and site url did not match, so had to correct under wp dashboard setting > general. Basically the home url was showing as http:// and the site url was showing as https://
I amended the home url to https:// and TD composer page elements displayed on edit section.
This might be useful for others to know who maybe having a similar issue, to check theme system status under Newspaper.
Thanks…
Rhys

Hi Simion…
yes there was indeed an issue within theme system status. The home url and site url did not match, so had to correct under wp dashboard setting > general. Basically the home url was showing as http:// and the site url was showing as https://
I amended the home url to https:// and TD composer page elements displayed on edit section.
Thanks for your help with this.

All these things are clear!!! Well, I found the bug. Each time I change the value (border etc.) the composer create a additional code which has influence on the layout. It’s clearly a bug in the composer. You can have different css values, but the same layout. It’s pretty strange – please look at this major bug.
Thank you
Let me try to explain. It’s confusing from the standpoint of me being new to the theme and WordPress for the most part. I’m trying to determine why there are multiple options for page creation. It’s kind of like opening MS Office and having 2 word processing options. That’s not a perfect comparison. I understand WordPress is more modular but that’s kind of where I’m coming from. I’m trying to understand the pro’s and con’s of each and just how nicely they play together.
Here are my specific questions:
WPBakery Page Builder is a third party page builder that came with the theme but now you guys are creating your own. Is that correct?
The WPBakery Page Builder and TD Composer are only for pages, and not posts, correct?
Can I build a page and edit it with another as long as I’m not doing the edits simultaneously with both?
Which do you use for pages?
Which “composer” do you use for posts?

Thank you kindly for your time.
Hi,
@ibrandmg Please provide more details about the problem you are having, so we can understand better. The previous question was about the option to stretch the rows on pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/oq5I29QT9z
I don’t see any problem on the homepage, the header is stretched from the theme panel from what I can see at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/kT7F5NO6K9i5
If you have a problem using the composer please explain what you are trying to do, and what is happening. Here you can find out more about the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
Hello InspireORB,
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can take a closer look at your setup page and also, so we can inspect your TD Composer to see why it does not work. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make them for you, as they might have a recommended method in this matter.
Then try to edit the page with the composer. If there is still a problem, try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins as a test and clear any installed cache. It could be a plugin conflict. The composer works properly with the theme so there should be no issues. Check if it works on a newly created page as well. Let us know the results.
Thanks
When working in TD Composer and adding either “Text with title” or “Column text”, clicking on “Edit Content” button opens the WP Editor box but nothing that is typed inside it is being saved (once I close WP Editor, all text is lost).
– Tested in Chrome and Firefox
– All plugins apart from tagDiv Composer are deactivated
What could be the cause?
When I change the margin (CSS value) I can see the result on the screen, but if I log off and log in again the TagDiv Composer remember the value but not the result. That happen all the time…any solution for that?
Thank you
Hello Ryansmccain,
Why does it seem to be random? Please keep in mind that our theme comes bundled with this integrated plugin as Visual Composer which is made by WPBakery Page Builder and which the core file is named js_composer.zip. This kind of popular plugin has been implemented in our theme which helps you to create your pages more easily.
More recently, it was introduced our own page builder which is named TD Composer. So, that page builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder. You can use our page builder in default WordPress editor but you should know the shortcodes generated by this plugin. You should use the FrontEnd editor for this page builder, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Still, What ever i tried, reinstall Theme, Deactivate all plugins, reinstall td-composer nothing works… These errors seems not moving anywhere… (Only logged in) When logged out seems no problem…
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) /mode-less.js
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) /snippets/text.js
I guess i tried everything , is there a chance that you can login and check if i am making any mistakes…
This problem is in all pages…
Please help me…
Hello … Having problem with does various borders all accros rows and columns. I wan’t do build a standard page with visual composer that has several rows and columns. This is a page with service information ( no need for blog posts blocks or tagDiv etc.)
Is there a css snippet to remove the borders for that specific page?
I need to turn off the MAIN CONTAINER BORDERS for the page and the borders that SURROUND COLUMNS and ROWS when working with Visual Composer.
I see there are alot css rules for those borders ( the ::before’s and ::after’s and so on … ). I tried to turn them off or set them to white … but no luck there …
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
We have bought the Newspaper theme 4 times. It is a powerful theme but it has many many issues.
Your software has created a lot of issues that culminate in switching from vc composer to tag div composer, but we not write about it now.
Οur problem at the moment is that we bought the theme in order to produce business layout that was built on vc composer, anyway…
Where is the today widget of homepage of business layout?
Hi…
Trying to edit a page using TD Composer, but page content does not display in area and only shows ‘there was an error loading this message’
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0Gk1ZDZ_J2ucjlxZ0hyZW8tU00/view?usp=sharing
When I select view page it displays ok. https://www.inspireorb.com/become-your-inner-potential/
Any ideas what could be causing this..?
Hello,
Out of nowhere our theme settings will no longer save this past week. For instance, if I turn off the footer and hit save, the panel will notify me that the save was successful with the checkmark. However, if I refresh the page, the footer is still on — it didn’t save.
What I have done:
– Deactivated all plugins except the TD Composer.
– Reverted to the parent theme as to eliminate any of my child theme additions.
– Verified that all settings are correct in the system status. (input_variables = 5000, execution_time=60, memory limit = 64_
– At one point I was seeing a php error that said I had reached the byte limit for the mysql call, but I increased that amount and haven’t seen the issue since. I see no php errors currently.
– I did notice that the admin-ajax call that you seem to be saving the settings with is returning 0.
Apache/2.4.27 (Amazon) PHP/7.0.21
Wordpress version 4.8.2
Any help would be appreciated.
Zach
Guys,
When updating the theme from 8.1 to 8.1.1 and the js_composer from 5.2 to 5.4.2 I have problems. It begins showing tags/code as if the plugin were de-activated. I’ve tried re-installing. I’ve tried activating/de-activating. I finally had to just roll everything back to the old versions and it is all working again. I should’ve taken screen shots, but I had to get the site back up right away.
I’m hoping that the developers can point me in the right direction as to how to proceed and things that I might need to check.
That’s what I’ve been reading. The plugin I installed is called WPBakery Page Builder. There is no mention of js_composer.zip on that page. I’m confused to why WPBakery Page Builder is a plugin that comes with the theme. It seems random.
My other question is if I move to a new theme and have used tagDiv composer for all of my pages, will there now be issues editing them in the default WordPress editor?
Thanks
Hello Ryansmccain,
Please check the following useful manual here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ regarding the transition between Visual Composer and TD Composer!
Thanks for your understanding!
Sorry, I have one more question. It is irrelevant to my previous question.
As for Page setting, when I edit them with TD composer, let’s say if I added 3 columns, and changed my mind that I want to reduce them to 2 columns only. How can I delete the column that is added already. I could not find the delete sign anywhere. Please understand I am saying to remove that column entirely, not different setting for it. (Not the case that I choose block or full grid and I can delete them and choose some other format as I wish, I want it gone entirely as it’s just an unnecessary column for me after it’s added)
I am asking this, because I want to add a few more columns to my front page now, but I may want to remove them in a couple of months/years. I do not wish to delete the whole page and make a new one for it. That is why I want to know if there is a way to remove them easily without going so much trouble for them.
Thank you.
I downloaded the latest version and installed it, but visual composer isn’t updated to the latest version. My child theme is still showing Newspaper 7 and the site isn’t working.

Hi,
Thank you for your appreciation. You can create a page using any of the available elements with the tagDiv composer, and set it as homepage
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
There are Big grids, Full Big grids and blocks that can be used to display your posts
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
I see you are not using a static page as homepage at the moment. For example create a page and select the Latest articles page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/DV99YC1k
Place the grid of you choosing at top (like Big grid 1 that is present on your category page)
The module that displays posts in the Latest articles section can be changed as well, in addition a custom name can be set for this section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FuEMewgoeaN
The result will be a page with a grid on top, and a latest articles section below. Just like you wanted. Using the composer you can create pages in any way you like, it is not hard to use.
Please let us know if you have further questions, or you need help.
Thanks

I’m reading through the initial documentation. It says this:
Step 1 – Install both the Visual Composer and tagDiv Composer plugins
I see js_composer.zip and td_composer.zip in the theme plugin directory. I’m assuming td_composer.zip is the the tagDiv composer, correct? If so, what is the Visual Composer?
Also, I installed the js_composer.zip plugin and it says it’s “WPBakery Page Builder.” My guess is that’s a depreciated version that is there for legacy purposes? Is that correct?
Also, am I reading it correctly that I will have to go back and edit any posts that I’ve already created? If so, is there a bulk way to do this? I
