Hi,
I have been activated the theme last week, but I found the tagdiv composer showing the white page and can’t edit anything,
shown on
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
I have’t installed plugins and do nothing, I follow my insturction to install super cache, but always white page, Please help, I read that many people have the same problems
Things might break with new version of WordPress, other plugins with bugs (e.g., Yoast had several updates this month — 3 I think), etc.
Anything that “suddenly stopped working” is not due to theme.
Theme cannot “upgrade” you without your permission — you would have to do that, so not sure why you thought you were being forced to do anything at all.
Visual Composer won’t update unless you upload the new version included with theme download; it can’t be updated via WP admin panel unless you buy your own copy of it.
So — if you are ‘suddenly’ having problems, might be worth doing normal debug practice — try checking error logs, disable plugins to see what might be causing it, check page for errors with F12, check for any external elements not loading and breaking things, etc.
Anyway — I don’t work here; just some more feedback. I’m out on this one!
so i’m using visual composer 4.8.1 in newspaper 6
and up until my last edit of the homepage 2wks ago… it was working fine
Did you upgrade Visual Composer from the version included in the ‘all files’ download as per usual? You can’t upgrade VC via the WP panel, you need to delete old version via FTP and upload the new version to work with NP8.
So then I don’t understand why visual composer is no longer working on my site.
And when I click on the visual composer icon it opens up the site to purchase it… the plus icon opens the add element window but when i click on one nothing happens… and when i click on the templates icon the window opens but nothing happens with that as well
And as far as being forced to upgrade / update… that IS happening all over the place. But I do apologize for my assumptions. I was reacting to the fact that my client’s site is no working like i was 2 weeks ago… and i NEED it working.
Hi,
You mention in your guide than using tagdiv composer with old pages create with the former composer, obliges to create a new page or article. Can you tell if we have to make a redirection from the old page to the new one ?
Hi,
I have a CTA offering to subscribe to newsletters done earlier with the backend editor: http://natplant.ru. There was a special block for it as part of the editor functionality.
I cannot figure out how to replicate it with the tagdiv composer. Would you please advise?
I also got the “Html code here! Replace this with any non empty text and that’s it.” messages on the main page created earlier with the backend editor. How do I remove them until I’ve recreated the pages with the new composer?
Thank you.
I haven’t done anything to the home page since sept 11 when i updated the Big Grid slider.
I installed woocommerce.
and that’s it.
i tried deactivating woocommerce and it still isn’t working.
all i get is the visual composer header and nothing else. i tried clicking on the “add element” and when that opens i try to select an element but nothing happens.
this is a client’s site… so i don’t make too many of the upgrades or updates to it very often because i don’t want it to all of a sudden BREAK the theme (like it just did). So i have no idea what happened or how it happened.
Hello,
Unfortunately, the header section can’t be changed by TD Composer, sorry! If you want to make some changes in that section, you should edit the code from the header style used by you. Here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/mWK7BZvq you can see all the header style files which should have to be edited if you want to make some changes in your header section.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello, Great theme by the way 🙂
I have a few questions if anyone can help.
There is allot of white space between content displayed on TD article blocks. Is there a way to reduce this?
Additionally, if I have a TD article block in a column and next to another column, there is also allot of white space in between. I can reduce this by changing margins in Visual composer to stretch the column, or I can stretch the whole Row but the content thumbnails/images then do not fit in their containers as everything is stretched.
I have marked in green some of the White Space areas I would like to reduce.
If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
There are no options at the moment that would allow something like this. Only admin level users have access to the tagDiv composer page editor. However I believe editor roles should have the capability to edit pages with the composer, since to edit pages is a default editor ability.
I will add this on our list, and pass it along to the developer team. If you would like to make the modification and use it in the meantime, you will have to edit the composer files.
Edit this file from the tdcomposer plugin and change the user capability so an editor will have access to the editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fWoDCrFbL9
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fuGvYkqY3fO
The option to use the composer will be displayed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8P6clonOp8O
This will enable editor roles and above to use the tagDiv composer, and it is according to the default WordPress user roles and capabilities

Thanks
Hello gundo,
Yes, if you want to use the Visual Composer as page builder, it is indicated to disable our page builder to avoid the conflicts.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Why do people think we are forcing anyone to do anything? If you want to use visual composer…keep using visual composer by all means and disable the tagdiv composer. It is not mandatory plugin by any means. We kept the visual composer compatibility and visual composer will still receive updates so you can use it just as before.
Thank you!

Hi Chris,
I use tagDiv Composer, not Visual Composer.
Hello, this works if I wanted to make the change on a single page. Instead, as initially stated, I would like to make the change to the HEADER. How do I edit the header with TD Composer?
Thanks.
Ah thank you! I knew it was something simple. Haven’t used tagDiv composer earlier and will probably not do that either.
Hi,
Please go to your plugins section, and deactivate the tagDiv composer. This composer was introduced in version 8, and it is activated automatically when the theme is installed or updated
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Deactivate this editor and check if the problem is solved. When both editors are active, some Visual composer elements are affected by the tagDiv composer.
Thanks
Isnt there an admin setting for that in visual composer settings?
You can keep using np 6. You dont have to upgrade!!!
You can also use the uodated version of visual composer included with np 8 if you choose to move to np 8 !!!

How can you just FORCE someone have to rebuild / redesign a website with this composer????
you CAN’T DO THAT TO PEOPLE!!! SOME people don’t have the TIME to do this especially if it is a client’s website and things need to be DONE RIGHT NOW!!!
what happened that visual composer is no longer working when i go in to edit my homepage??? when CLEARLY it comes part of Newspaper 6.
Hey Chris, sorry for the delay and thanks for your feedback. The client approved the mobile layout, so I solved the initial problem.
My problem now is that with the mobile theme, pages made with visual composer don’t work. None of them. Any way to fix this?
Thanks again
I tried using composer on new pages, and still get the white screen. Newspaper 8.0 was working (except the column text editor) but 8.1 is broken, and I can’t upgrade my production site.
I sent an email to contact@tagdiv.com. Thanks for the reply.
Hi,
I would like to find a way to give access to the Editor to tagDiv Composer.
If possible, I would like to give him access to some blocks. If not possible, to the whole composer.
Can you, please, help me with that?
Thank you in advance
