We are too dependent on Visual Composer and cannot change things . Is it possible to upgrade to Newspaper 8 and completely exclude tagdiv composer until we’ve rebuilt things?

Hi! Every time I place a “Text with Title” Element with Tagdiv Composer and try to edit content I get the error message:
Failed to load content css: http://localhost/xxxx/wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child/editor-style.css
I copied the folder Newspaper-child from the theme as I always do; the editor-style.css file he’s looking for is only in Newspaper parent folder. Despite this, the Composer seems to work.
What could be the problem?

I am aware that we don’t have any option to load infinite articles after the end of the first article, but we do already have an option to use infinite loading for ‘More Articles’ or ‘Related Articles’ at the end of the post to display various content blocks with visual composer.

But with the new TagDiv composer, I think this is missing. How can I get infinite loading pagination for more articles? Currently, it has ‘Next/Prev pagination’ by default. Is there any way to make it infinite loading with or without tagdiv composer theme.

Kindly see if there is any possibility now, else I have to switch to Js visual composer 🙁

With Visual Composer, we had the option to enable it for posts as well but since it used to be very resource intensive , we never used it on posts.

Tagdiv is super fasts. so, I really want to use it on posts as well. How can I do so?

With JS visual composer, I was able to use shortcodes, and it was also directly integrated with plugins like Easy Social Share plugin. I understand that integrating with popular third party plugins will take time, but there must be some ways to use Shortcodes on the homepage.

Even default WordPress ‘Text widget’ supports shortcodes but I couldn’t find a way to use it with the Tagdiv composer.

Here are two versions of code I have to use it one the homepage:

simple shortcode:

[easy-subscribe design=”design2″]

To use this shortcode into PHP templates:

<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[easy-subscribe design=”design2″]’); ?>

Kindly help me to use any of these on my homepage newly created with the TagDiv composer.

PS: I must say that TagDiv composer is far far faster than a Visual composer. So, congratulation TagDiv team for creating this.

I’m quite worried. My homepage is very messed up.
I have several post grid (from VC) with 2-3 columns.
Yesterday I changed the font of one element of the grid, and then boom, all the grids on my homepage are one under another.
I checked everywhere and found that there is a code generated by js_composer.min.css that includes this :
.vc_grid.vc_row .vc_grid-item {
padding: 0;
vertical-align: top;
/* float: none; */
box-sizing: border-box;
z-index: 1;
}

You see the “float:none;”?
Because of this, all the blocks are this way. So because this website is way popular, I went on the file and deactivated it (that’s why there is the /* */ stuff).
But I know that’s just some little temporary patch.
Can you please help me on this? I can’t find why this happens.

I have installed newspaper 8 OK and the included plugins and now added the default demo theme. This has killed the composer plugin which has been deleted! Not very happy about this. Do I need to reinstall the composer plugin?

Hi! I can’t find a simple way to insert Contact Form 7 in a page with Tagdiv Composer like I did with Visual Composer. Can you explain me how? Thanks!

I would like to test de Tagdiv Composer on a staging subdomain (i.e. staging.lochemsnieuws.nl). I created the subdomain and installed WordPress on it. Can i use the Newspaper theme on this subdomain? My website is very big so i prefer not to clone it to the subdomain. It is just for testing.

Any advise is highly appreciated.
