Hi,
Issue that arise in some situation and for some elements, between the two editors will be fixed in future updates. The tagDiv composer will be improved and more options will be added to it exclusively. We will try our best to provide the best results in all situations.
For the moment you just need to deactivate this editor and everything should be displayed like before.
Thanks
Hello mmeida,
Please keep in mind that is not recommended to be used both of page builders at the same time because might appears some conflicts between them, sorry! Also, if you want to use our page builder you should recreate your homepage from scratch using the TD Composer. For more information about transitions between these page builders you should consult our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Notice that our builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder. In the future, this feature can be released but unfortunately, we cannot say for sure when exactly this process will be done, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I could not say why this is happening. You could try a fresh theme install
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Have only Visual composer and the Yoast plugin active, make the same configuration settings and test again with the Twitter card validator.
Thanks
Hi,
At the moment there is no option to split the row in a 1/2 layout, using the tagDiv composer. With Visual composer that could be done, but it was not recommended. Maybe this could be available in future updates, but I cannot say for sure

Hello,
The page builder is a plugin that needs to be activated from the theme plugins section and then you can access it from the page edit screen: https://www.screencast.com/t/41CjE42aTC
Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks.
Hello mpozesny,
Do you do not know from where come to the Gadgets from your sidebar? I have inspected your website and I saw that your sidebar has been customized from Visual Composer and the structure of it is kind of like that -> https://www.screencast.com/t/fm8WfDdK7hMv If you want to manage them, you should edit your homepage and change the elements from that section.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about what exactly you want to achieve so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Thanks Simion:
If TagDiv Composer is the “future” (of what you’ll be supporting), we may want to wait to deactivate it. That is, until you work out the kinks with how TagDiv Composer will treat existing “Pages” created originally using Visual Composer.
Before we make that call, we have a few questions/suggestions that TagDiv / Envato may find useful during this transition:
1) Will you be working on eliminating the automatic height restriction (200 pixels) on “Featured Image” for Pages imposed by TagDiv Composer?
(Yes, we could individually change over 1,000 existing Pages created in Visual Composer – 1 at a time — but that would necessitate a lot of time, money & effort from us…vs. a global change on TagDiv side that probably make common sense.)
2) Will TagDiv Composer eventually allow us to maintain the widgetized sidebars we’ve already placed on our “Pages” using Visual Composer – anytime soon.
(For now, it looks like TagDiv Composer has knocked out our “Page” widgetized sidebars & any revenue-producing banners contained therein.
These are important questions for us to understand b/c:
1) We’ve created over 1,000 “Pages” using Visual Composer defaults.
2) We’ve placed revenue-producing banners within those widgetized sidebars.
(i.e. If TagDiv eliminates pre-existing sidebars & banners long term, we lose revenue.)
I’m guessing since a good # of your Newspaper Theme customers might have created a lot of pages already using Visual Composer, we are not alone with our current dilemma.
Thanks for your help!

Hi. I have updated to Newspaper 8. I have Visual Composer and TD Composer installed. I have cloned a page and started editing it with TD Composer in draft mode. However, I can not find all the blocks I used in Visual Composer, for example the icon button (eye catching icon from libraries). So with TD composer I can not build the page exactly the same as I had it. Am I wrong?
Thanks.
Hi
I configured the Yoast plugin like it is mentioned and tested with the Twitter card validator to check without results. I wrote to Yoast in WP forum and the answer was:
“After reviewing the code for your site, you are outputting multiple copies of the Twitter tags. This can cause problems when sharing content as Twitter will not always pull the data entered in our plugin.
Please disable plugins or theme functions that add Twitter tags. If you are unsure what is adding the additional tags, please run a conflict check following the steps here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts”
I disabled all the plugins (this disarmed the whole site) and then I enabled only Visual Composer, because without this the site is useless.
Twitter did not work, did not show image when I publish (is no important the preview). I clean the cache and wait several minutes. I re-cleaned the cache, in this way some times.
With this I saw that it is not the responsibility of another plugin, although it could be a “clash” of plugins trying to do the same.
That’s why I decided to write to you again.
It is no longer YOAST SEO or another plugin, and there is something in the template or visual composer that I do not understand what it is.
I need your help again.
As I have just installed the new version of Newspaper I had to re-create a new page using Tagdiv Composer.
Everything was easy except for one thing: I don’t know how to set a layout 1/2.
I was wondering if it was possible to have a row layout like 1/2 (split in half).
My layout used to be like this:
https://guias.brasilnaitalia.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Schermata-2017-06-15-alle-20.10.52.png
Now it looks like that: https://guias.brasilnaitalia.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Schermata-2017-06-15-alle-20.11.05.png
Can you help me?
Hello,
I am about to handover a site to a client and I am concerned they will mess things up! I have set-up the home page using composer and now would like to deactivate the button on the page editor to make sure the client never uses it!
The client has the “editor” roles. Would it be possible to remove the button for everyone except Admins?
Thanks,
Perch
Helps to use PHP 5.6 and higher which has opcache built in as good starting point.
WP SuperCache works well for most because you’re loading static pages, which is preferred by “most” hosts as if you have 1,000 domains on a box, if they all use too much memory, not enough memory to run all the sites.
If you have your own server, consider using Varnish;
OR: also nextgen tech like https + PHP 7 + http/2 is the “new way to fly” as the entire page is compressed into one packet, not a bunch of pieces, and THAT gets cached by server.
The main issue with CPU, is to switch to using TD Composer vs Visual Composer. Seriously.
Solved by disabling tagDiv-composer. Thanks for your help!
Solved by disabling tagDiv-composer. Thanks for your help!
Hi,
You can either use tagDiv composer or Visual composer. When both of these are active in some cases there could be some issues. If you deactivate the tagDiv editor everything should be like before the update for your website, when only the Visual composer was available.
Thanks
Hi,
Is the theme working without tagDiv composer? I thought this is a requirement for Newspaper 8 in order to work properly. But if I can deactivate it, this would probably solve all my issues. Please let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Please go to your plugins section and deactivate the tagDiv composer. This is activated by default when the theme is updated. There seem to be issues in some cases when Visual composer and tagDiv composer are both active, so try deactivating it and see if the page is displayed properly.
Thanks
Hello,
What happened (it might happen to others) is that after the update I hadn’t read the new features yet of version 8.
So I used the tagdiv composer on a visual composer page which is forbidden according to the tutorial. That’s what happened. That’s why the size wasn’t quite ok. Maybe why also the page takes so much time to open with the tagdiv composer.
Thanks for your help !
Hi there,
I just figured out that after updating to V8, our individual Visual Composer Layout is not working anymore. Prior to the update, it was ordered 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/2, see here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a7y3ddiiw9tanrv/prior%20to%20update.PNG?dl=0
After the update, with still the same settings, every 1/4 fills the full page layout, now. And on top of that, the image added by Visual Composer is now extended to the full width and does not change by any pixel restrictions. After Update: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jknxc39cagnr0ty/After%20Update.PNG?dl=0

Hi,
At the moment there are no errors in the console from what I can tell
– https://www.screencast.com/t/dpahVjhhBCXe
Please make sure that you are using the tagDiv composer on new pages. Do not edit previously created pages in Visual composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
You could also try a fresh theme reinstall by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks
Hi,
Please go into the plugins section, and deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin. This editor is activated by default the moment you update the theme.
It may have some influence on pages created in Visual composer simply by being active. Try this suggestion and then check if the images display properly. Maybe clear your cache after deactivating the plugin.
Here you can find more about the new tagDiv front-end composer, and useful information
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Visual composer is still part of the package, and can still be used. But it is worth mentioning that in future updates, more options and features will be added exclusively for the tagDiv composer.
Thanks
Hi,
The element you are using is not a theme element but rather a visual composer element. Sorry but it can only be removed from the visual composer code and we cannot offer any visual composer customization as it will break our license agreement with the plugin author.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
If you do not want to install the default demo which can bring the page itself into your install, you can replicate it in the tagdiv composer. please use this guide to learn how you can add or remove elements from your pages using our builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please kindly assist me to do things below:
1. I’ve got the problem with Facebook share function for posts, which shows like this:
“Sorry, something went wrong.
We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”
How to fix this, please?
2. I would like to set up an image with transparency or opacity level as the background of post area, underlying the content of a post. How to do it, please?
3. With BIG GRID FULL 3 (visual composer), it is nice to display posts on pages to me. However, making this a slider as BIG GRID FULL 3 “SLIDE” with a number of posts would be better, besides BIG GRID SLIDE. So, what should I do?
Many thanks in advance!
Hello,
Unfortunately, I still get this 2 errors. Latest WordPress & latest Newspaper. All plugins are deactivated except for td-composer. Please check here: http:// lustaufeinbier.de/
It’s running on nginx with php 7.0.18.
Thanks!
