Hello,

The revolution slider as well as visual composer do not have any option to place a slider in the category template. It can only be done by editing the theme code. Our theme has no option to add content to category templates. If you want to add it through the theme code you can use a do_shortcode function https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/ in the category template files: http://screencast.com/t/mXbkHkz08nj

Thank you!

Hello gbhackersonsecurity,

Please keep in mind that the category template and category top posts style has been designed to be used only for category pages. So, if you want to have the same grids with these from Category Top Posts Style Grid you should add them using the Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/WjOxteA7
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello,
The theme does not show double images except when you add the featured image and insert it in the post content as well. Please do not insert the featured image in the post content, but only in the featured image spot as shown here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/

If you do not add the featured image inside the post content as well, and it shows up double This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello champagnemigraine,

Please keep in mind that the theme panel settings does not cover the Visual Composer elements. If you want to make some changes in this regard you should create your own CSS for this. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

.wpb_posts_slider .wpb_heading {
background-color: green;
color:red;
}
.vc_separator.vc_sep_color_grey .vc_sep_line {
border-color: red;
}

The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/cKoJ0jFnQTol

Hello,
Please try one more test.
Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then switch to the main theme (not child) and test the password protected page again.
If you still encounter issues please let us know.
Thank you!

Hi,

Well the option should be there in 7.5 as well. Here is an example from our end: http://screencast.com/t/6pxHIHVXgVd
Make sure you have the theme options available from the screen options: http://screencast.com/t/aIKqWcRopp
If the option still does not show up, you can try to disbale all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. We have seen plugins and other issues prevent theme options from showing up. The mega-menu option for one.

I hope this helps.

Thank you!

Hello,

I have checked your site and it seems all your menu items are pages and you use the mobile theme. You did not add any content in the mobile theme editor so that is why nothing is shown. In your case as you only show pages with content blocks the mobile theme plugin is not recommended as it does not use visual composer and you will not be able to show visual composer blocks on mobile pages. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello fndphoto,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for it, sorry! So, if you want to do this, you should edit the Trending Now element from Visual Composer and adjust this feature. Please notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry! Another alternative for your would be to use a plugin with thins functionality and see this will work for you.

Sorry for my last message as i didn’t check your earlier reply on tagDiv Composer. So in this case when it is not available, what do you suggest, should we keep working with the existing version of the VC composer or there is another option?

Any word on the tagDiv Composer as older version of Visual Composer keep clashing with the cache plugin and home page doesn’t update

Hello,

Unfortunately it seems this issue comes from visual composer, not the theme. It behaves the same on a wp default theme. It is a plugin functionality. It will not work on mobile on our end as well on any theme. Sorry but it seems the plugin has it;s limits on the video background feature.

Thank you!

Hello m0re,

The TagDiv Composer was removed for improvements and we shall return to it when will be updated.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

I think you mention the block titles on the homepage. Those are not ‘fixed’ elements. You can access the page in visual composer and add or remove elements, or edit the existing ones using the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Please load the translation from the theme panel and if an element is not translated it means it is not translatable meaning it has to be changed from another place. On pages usually it ca be changed from visual composer.

Thank you!

Ok and what about the tagDiv Composer plugin. I can’t seem to find it. Have you released the final version of it or can i use it as an alternate to VC Composer?

I’ve done everything just as you said and the problem still persists.

It seems other problems have arisen since the WordPress update. In addition to visual composer crashing, the images on the mobile (iPhone) homepage once you scroll down are blank (you can see for yourself).

Is there anything we could do to fix this?

Thanks

Hi,
I have tried to update the visual composer plugin as per your guidelines but you people don’t have the latest version 5.0 in the plugin folder, rather it is 4.12. So there is no way to get updated copy. Even your own plugin “tagDiv Composer” for home page isn’t available on the link provide. It gives 404 error.

How i can update to the latest version of VC, or, if your own plugin is better and finalized, how i can download it?

Hi there,

Somehow I can’t edit text in a post using Visual Composer. Please see attachment
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B09ARADyxMFOWWJVNV9ESFBOdE0

First of all, all the text are is there but font color is white.

2nd, there is no txt editor icons for me to format my content.

I thought it supposes to look like this

http://www.jezweb.info/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/edit-text_03.png

I use to have WPEdit, but WPEdit can build page, so i switch to VC, but VC does not give me an option to modify text. Am I the only one who get this error? Should i reinstall VC?

Thank you!

Hello,

Sorry but I cannot access your site: http://screencast.com/t/FeaC4ZXte
Please let us know when we can access the site and see the error.
Until then you can try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello,

This is not an error but an intended functionality. We removed the standard sidebars from pages as there were 2 methods of adding sidebars and it confused people and they tended to create split rows and place sidebars at the same time resulting in broken layouts. Please use the widgetized sidebar element or create your own sidebar on pages using a split row in visual composer.

Thank you!

Hello,
It’s no theme bug as we do not get this error.
It’s probably a plugin that is not compatible with the new version of WP .
please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello,

Version 5.0 of the plugin will be available in the next theme update. We do not have a release date yet as it’s still in the works. We are not updating the theme just for visual composer 5, of course. We will improve our code as we do on each update and add extra compatibility and functionality. We also try to include php 7 compatibility but I cannot promise anything. We will try as much as possible to include it in this update (and hope to succeed).

Thank you!

Hello,

I suggest reinstalling the theme using ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then testing without plugins: please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello,

I’m not sure what layout you want to change but I assume you are referring to the pages and the page content. You can simply edit the page in visual composer and edit each block, add or remove elements. You will have to learn how to use the visual composer. You an find guides on the plugin page: https://vc.wpbakery.com/video-academy/backend-editor-collapsible-row-feature-explained/

Thank you!
