Hi
I am not sure why this happens but you can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi
The homepage of Baby blog is made using page-builder+latest article as a page template and there is only a slide added with Visual Composer. To have that slide working you need to install Revolution Slider plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/ and import the slide in your wordpress: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
Hi
The theme has been developed to be fast but it may still need configurations on this matters so test your site using google’s page speed insights testing tool(or gtmetrix) and try to follow the instructions indicated there to optimize the server. Also make sure that the parameters from system status have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ You can also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer to reduce the queries and use mysql query cache to improve the loading speed: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/query-cache.html For more details about you can check our documentation in page-speed regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks!
Hello,
The sticky sidebar does work on infinite scroll if you implement it correctly. Here is an example: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-infinite-scroll/ Even without the load more button, the sticky sidebar will work as expected. Please use this guide to implement it on pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
The smart sidebar will also not work if you have a plugin conflict affecting the theme js. Please also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Thank you!
Hi
@brad08 the td-composer plugin can be downloaded following this link: https://github.com/tagDiv/td-composer/releases/latest Also make sure that your server meets theme’s requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also check if the parameters from system status have the values indicated here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks!
” A possible solution would be to add support for Visual Composer in mobile theme but for the moment we don’t plan to add this feature as will defeat theme’s purpose”
70% of the internet is on mobile now. Even google is almost ready to go “Mobile first” for their ranking algorithm and everything. So, I can’t ignore mobile speed and optimization but at the same time, just because of speed, we are killing almost all other features that Newspaper has to offer. It’s so ironic that the whole documentation for Newspaper mobile theme can be written on just one full-length page but it’s been used 70-80% of the time ( in terms of traffic). Hence , we are doing everything for 20-30% traffic but not for the major portion 🙁
I also feel that just because now you have created a separate plugin for the mobile theme, psychologically , you might be putting less effort in making further mobile optimization in your parent theme. Since you might be thinking that you have already achieved 300-400% more optimization on mobile theme so, if someone needs speed, you have a ‘ ready answer’ to ask them to use “Mobile theme” . but that time, neither user, nor you think that in that case, the whole awesome “Newspaper” theme will become the simplest blog theme which has nothing to offer other than speed in terms functionality;
So, Please give enough time to mobile theme feature updates and then you can give an option to “enable and disable” visual composer for mobile theme.
In fact, for the main theme too, we should have the option to disable or enable “loading of extra codes” page. post or categories basis to optimize it fully. We are using hard-coded shortcodes and smart list options in our various posts, so, if we even think to change the theme in future, it is going to break the site. So, it’s highly unlikely that we are ever going to change the theme.
Therefore we have high hopes from TagDiv.
Thank you.

Hi,
You can also disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files in order to make sure there is no plugin conflict affecting the images.
Thank you!
You should also tr to update your version of the plugin if you still want to use it. You can use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Well the latest update is included in the latest update of the theme. if you want to update the plugin you must download the theme package from envato and install the visual composer plugin from there: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Hi
Mobile theme can’t be disabled only for a specific page, sorry. When is used it will affect or change the entire site. A possible solution would be to add support for Visual Composer in mobile theme but for the moment we don’t plan to add this feature as will defeat theme’s purpose. Mobile theme was intent to be fast and many feature were removed to increase the speed. For the moment the only way to use Visual Composer on mobile devices is by using the main theme.
Thanks!

Hi,
We are using tagDiv visual composer plugin with our Newsmag theme to design a pages in word press.
We have re-designed our homepage and it was working fine. But due to theme updation we have lost all the design changes and now it is looking very poor.
As I think that now tagDiv visual composer plugin is not working or not supported or not compatible with Newsmag theme.
Kindly suggest, how we can retrieve the earlier one?
Thanks & Regards

Hi
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. Usually this issue occur because of Jetpack mobile theme module which conflicts with our theme so try to deactivate this module and check how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
If you edited the dummy data, then it will get removed when switching or uninstalling demos. If you want to restore the theme homepage to the demo style without reinstalling it, you can do it by adding elements in visual composer and replicating the design. you can create your own design on pages using our theme modules and blocks. Play around in visual composer on page edit and you will see it’s pretty simple to add or remove content and change the settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please remove your custom css added on the header that makes it 80 px. That is where the empty space comes from. http://screencast.com/t/oI6V3RaQpXc
If you did not add any custom css then please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again.
Thank you!
Hello,
You seem to have lots of errors in your browser console. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again. This is most likely a plugin conflict.
Thank you!
I reinstalled visual composer and now it’s okay.
Hello tagdiv & community,
I wanted to ask about the language stuff for my website. First of all, my language is german, I work with wordpress from here, and my webhost has also a server here. But I want everything, really everything on my website in english, no matter from where its ridden. So its made for worldwide. I write my articles in english, and also some elements in the website were in english by default (so, without doing anything), but at a lot of other things its unfortunally in german, like the search bar for example. The search button contains the german word for search and not the english. Or in the articles box instead of “All”, it shows german “Alle” (its the Block 1 for visual composer which came with your theme). So how can I just have everything in english. This is very annoying I need some good help with that. I was going to Newsmag theme panel > Translations > Load an available translation …. I set it to english already and then pressed “Load Translation”, but nothing changed. I tried this multiple times, also with spanish, but never works. What can I do please I need everything in english, if not my site doesnt really work well. (I asked a friend from south america, I think he also said in his country it shows up the german word)
Thanks, Greets
Hi
Where can I get the TD Composer plugin please?
Brad
Edit: got it to work byt updating to Visual composer 4.12. Thanks.
Your hosting panel should have error log for your website.
IN our case we switched to using the beta TD Composer plugin in place of Visual Composer, which really helped. Also, moving to php 5.6 from 5.4/5.5.
Hi,
After an Update the Visual Composer doesn’t work anymore.
I deactivated all plugins, still doesn’t work.
The pages where I use the VC there is this message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_map_get_attributes() in /homepages/35/d408646188/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 30
HP is http://www.fussball-geld.de
Can you help me?
Best Max
sir my issue is that i am leaving mobile editor blank but it is showing visual composer code…in mobile front end…i sir dont tell me to turn off mobile theme i am here for your help 🙂
the details in link above are not sufficent please help me out
We had lots of issues with VC on our server with multi-XEONS, 32GB RAM, etc.
In our case – awhile back – was to use the beta ‘shim’ plugin which Radu (of TagDiv) came up with, which allowed us to use the most common blocks for story content to setup a fancy home page, where we’d use VC for short period to build/edit page, turn it off, and leave ‘shim’ plugin active.
This has evolved 2 years later into the TD Composer plugin, which does not replace/clone/ripoff VC, but takes that idea of the TD custom modules/blocks into their own plugin to build a nice homepage and strips out most of the more arcane stuff that “most” people don’t use.
So, that is worth a try.
Also ensure you disable loading of VC on posts if not actually using it for posts.
Hope that helped a little.
We’re now using the TD COmposer plugin and don’t have VC installed anyplace anymore.
