Hi,
I have a custom page set for homepage, i built a page in visual composer but at the end of the homepage “NO COMMENTS” title appears.
I have already disabled comments/pings/discussion on the page settings, how do i fix it?

Not an issue with the theme but more a question for the developers/community: what’s your preferred caching setup for Newspaper? What do tagDiv run or recommend as an ideal setup? And has anyone experienced random downtime using WP Super Cache?
I’d used WP Super Cache in the past but had issues with my site going offline, which I tracked down to the plugin (although I couldn’t tell why). W3 Total Cache is my favourite caching plugin but isn’t approved for use with Newspaper, and as such has caused me issues with the newspaper dashboard (wiping settings).
So I’m back to WP Super Cache, and the random downtime has returned. Jetpack reports the site went down 6 times in one day, for between 5–13 minutes. Has anyone else experiences this? Google Search console doesn’t seem to show any connectivity errors, but the downtime is so quick I’m not sure it would. I have on occasion been able to confirm the site is actual down, so it doesn’t seem to be a false positive from Jetpack.

Could any of these be conflicting? There are a few of these that offer caching features.
Interested to hear other Newspaper users’ thoughts.
for anyone else with this problem– had to reupload the plugin from the /includes file just like the visual composer.
My visual composer is also not working after update.
Hello! I would like to say that I am very satisfied with Newspaper, but when I updated the theme with the plugin and a token etc., my site showed several errors. I have Newspaper installed on 6 webpages, and lately I have noticed that the visual composer does not work. I hoped that an update would fix the problems, but now I am stryggelig with much more severe problemes. I am not very skilled in wordpress themes, but Newspaper have served me well so far. The page I tried to update is: http://www.psykolog.com. My main page is http://www.webpsykologen.no, and here I do not have access to visual composer. I need this tool, but I am afraid to update the other site in case of similar problemes. Could you take a look at http://www.psykolog.com and help me fix the bugs?

The Homepage of my site on mobile devices comes up with the latest articles. Whereas, the original home page I had created using visual composer comes on the 2nd page on mobile devices. It works well on Desktop but, the mobile theme shows some other posts rather than my Original Home Page. How to solve this?. How to customize the mobile theme?

but it doesn’t work… also if i want to activate the composer it says “NO LICENSES FOUND”

Hi,
I am trying to figure out why on IPAD, pictures in articles are missing. I am seeing all the pictures as normal on a PC, however if I use both Safari or Chrome on IPAD it is not showing pictures. IPAD is showing only the featured image but not the other images in the articles. Here is an example:

How do we update visual composer separately
i downloaded the newapaper.zip and uploaded throught ftp
just downloaded the js_composer from the plugins folder and the js_composer.php says version 4.12

Please make sure you do not have those particular posts set as a smartlist. smart lists ignore ads. if this is not the problem, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Let us know how it goes.

First of all, please check your system status and try to increase all the parameters from there (most likely PHP memory) for good performance in the theme. Also, please set all of them according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also, please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, the latest version of Visual Composer which is tested with the theme ->4.11.2.

Hello, im using newsmag theme on my site and cant use visual composer anymore, i was using before and now i need to change something in homepage so i go pages section and try to add some bloks, nothing shows there, cant add anything.

Unfortunately if you customize the theme it will be harder and harder to keep your customization if you require updates and this will always be the case. There is no way of changing the theme code and make it update proof. We have to keep up with current technologies and have to update our theme as much as we can to keep up in an ever changing environment. Our advice is to try using as little customization as possible and try to use the options provided by the theme so you can update your product without having to pay a programmer to adjust the code every time you update. Unfortunately there is no answer for all the ‘WHY’ questions. They were decisions made by the development team that had to be taken. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these decisions.
As for the new page builder, it is still in development and we cannot say for sure when and if it will replace visual composer. They will both work in parallel for some time as they are compatible with one another.
Our future plans are to update the theme as much as possible and keep up with current tech. We plan on implementing our own page builder but at the moment there is no plan to ‘ditch’ visual composer.

Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect your setup page. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.2, Visual Composer 4.12 and Social Counter 4.1) if you want to achieve best results in theme. Please notice that all of these updates has to be made via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. If you filled out all of the fields and the social icons do not appear, please try to clear all caches and test other settings in the theme panel and see if they apply. If no setting applies, disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. The first problem is a caching issue. Please make sure you use wp super cache, not other untested caching solutions. Please clear your cache from your current cache plugin and then install wp super cache and set it up according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Then try to clear any other cache you might have: a cdn server or hosting cache.
For the second issue, please disable all plugins except visual composer and install the mobile theme without other untested plugins active. The mobile theme as well as the standard theme are not compatible with all plugins unfortunately.

There is no custom implementation. You can use visual composer and place a revolution slider element at the top of the page. The logo position is added by the header style that you use. on the demo we use header style 11.

I have checked your website and I saw that you are suing some untested plugins which could interact with the theme code and might create a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Maybe, some of these plugins interfere with the Facebook Android theme and do not allow to access your posts which were shared from the theme.
