you might try renaming your plugins folder to force off all plugins; then login, then switch to default theme; then fresh update via FTP; switch plugin folder back to normal name, then turn back on Visual Composer, check all works.
And of course clear/disable your caching before doing anything like this.

Hello,
Unfortunately there are no plans to change the element as it comes from visual composer. We try not to change existing visual composer elements (just add our own). At the moment we do not plan on adding our own author box, but maybe if more people request this feature, we will be able to implement a better styled one. Until then you can maybe find a plugin that provides a different author box than the VC one.
Thank you!
Hi
The elements tagged as deprecated from Visual Composer are still available for usage and works fine with the theme. I can’t say for sure what developers from Visual Composer will do with these elements in future, but most likely they will be removed when the plugin will pass trough a major update. Best thing would be to use the new elements built to replace the old ones, as all deprecated elements has been replaced by new – more advanced and good looking copies.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it. Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and speedbooster to rule out a plugin conflict.
Check the site again and let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hi there,
I just updated Newsmag to the latest version 2.3 and also updated Visual Composer to 4.8.1.
I expected that Tabs, Toggle, Accordion etcetera would still be available as a (usable) element.
It says Elements within this list are deprecated and are no longer supported in newer versions of Visual Composer. however I am on the latest version right?
If I look at the Visual Composer plugin page (the stand alone one) on their preview they do list them as an example:
http://vcpreview.com/shortcodes/tabs/
So what I would like to know is: how can I create these elements and can I keep the ones that I created? Or should I change anything? Because when I use the latest version nothing should be deprecated there right? Strange…

Hello,
This could be a plugin issue. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check the editor again. If this does not work, make sure you update your theme to the latest version and also update visual composer.
If all else fails, you can change the color using css. The editor text color can be found here: http://screencast.com/t/hrMsN2DU There is an editor-style.css also. You can manually change the color in the file.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi prkbrt,
First of all, thanks for your message. This issue maybe comes from another plugin. If you are using a Jetpack, this plugin creates for the mobile version of the site if an option is checked: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-mobile-theme/. Follow the steps from link above and you can solve it your problem.
Also, you can try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and try it again. If the problem is still there, please provide more details and your URL link for inspect it closer.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks!

“As a temporary work around I updated line 1 in the styles sheet: wp-includes/css/editor.min.css
change…
.js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area{color:#FFF}
to…
.js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area{color:#333}”

Hello,
I have tried to recreate this on my end but could not recreate your issue.
http://screencast.com/t/5fUIOQmZ9rkF
I used a 1200×180 test logo and it fills the header container (1164px) on all 3 styles with full logo.
Please check if you have any modifications to the header container. You can also try this without any plugins active (except visual composer) to rule out a plugin conflict.
If the problem is still there provide a link to your website so we can take a look and come up with a solution.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have checked this on my side and did not found any issues – http://screencast.com/t/haFDRCboSOM – http://screencast.com/t/WKNIWWBV4
Please make sure you have added the code properly in td_ajax.php file – http://screencast.com/t/ChkNU6LwP and also check this without any plugins active except the Visual Composer and Easy WP SMTP or other plugin that you use for this. I have checked this using SendGrid.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and the posts are displayed fine now: http://screencast.com/t/SFod3hQMC I am not sure why you encounter this problem but could be a cache issue or a conflict between theme’s scripts and some plugin. If this happens again try to clear all caches, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please install and activate Visual Composer plugin – http://screencast.com/t/NeIrAMKdm3
Please also check the theme’s documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/wordpress-information/
Thanks!
Ok, thanks. I tried creating a new page and it seemed to work so it seems to be something on the existing homepage that isn’t allowing Visual Composer elements to display. Not sure what that would be though, as the homepage doesn’t have any other plugins or anything active that isn’t elsewhere. I’ll send through the link now anyway.
Hi,
Unfortunately this is not an easy task to add reviews on Visual Composer elements and you will need custom modifications as you need to edit the plugin’s files. I suggest to hire a professional developer to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry! Here you can see how the reviews are called on our modules instead of date – http://screencast.com/t/mNtGYOgu8cJ You have to do something similar for VC element.
Regarding excerpt try to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/c9XHPBbIiyo
Thanks!
Hello,
Please make sure you use the visual composer version that comes with the theme. Any other version will cause issues. Another thing you can try is disable all your plugins except visual composer. If the problem is still there you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your website and a password so we can take a closer look. Please also include a link to this topic so we know who you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!
Hi pett,
Please try it without any plugins. Remove all plugins except Visual Composer and the social icons. It could be a conflicting plugin. If the issue is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your log-in information so we can take a look at your page setup. Please also provide a link to this topic so we know who you are.
Thanks!
Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check your titles again.
It should have nothing to do with speed booster (i assume that is what you were referring to not WP_Booster)
If the problem is still there please provide a link to your website so we can take a look
Thank you!
Hi chitsanu,
You can change the title blocks within Visual Composer, like this: http://screencast.com/t/YpM4BX6hxE .
For more information about blocks settings, please consult our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thanks!
Hi
We plan to release an update for Newsmag theme this days. Currently we test the latest version of Visual Composer V 4.8.1 and if it works fine will be included in theme’s package, otherwise will be included V 4.8 which is already tested and works fine.
Thanks!
Hello,
I have tested this issue myself and could not recreate it. You can try to check this issue without any plugins (except visual composer) in order to rule out a plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
Check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and also re-save your permalinks and see if you still have this issue.
Thanks!
Hello,
The header style you use should display the full logo. I uploaded an image we use as an example ad: http://screencast.com/t/TcO0CDDiHKFS and it works fine.
I also checked your console and it seems to display an error about a certain logo: http://screencast.com/t/pxKKZlfwL3
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and upload your full logo image.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hi, I’ve just set up Newspaper theme on a staging site, everything seems to be working fine apart from Visual Composer for the homepage. The Visual Composer is available from the back end and I’ve started off with the existing default template, but when I publish there is nothing showing in the content area on the homepage – there is just a blank space between the header and footer? Is there something obvious I am missing to enable it to display?
The staging site is password protected, so if you need to see it can I send you the URL privately?
