Hi,
You can try to disable the lazy load animation and see if you still have this issue – http://screencast.com/t/YxebUiVIGhb maybe there is a plugin that conflict with the theme and break the lazy load effect.
Or you can check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if the issue persist. If it doesn’t please activate your plugins one by one and see which one caused this problem.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and check if you still have this issue. Also please note that some plugins may conflict with lazy load feature, so you could check this without lazy load – http://screencast.com/t/nvePNWtBA3
Thanks!
How can i use Visual composer for post pages(inner pages)?
Hi,
Yes, you can update directly to the latest version 6.5.1, please check this guide(A,B,C) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ also update the plugins that come with the theme(Visual Composer, Social Counter if you use it..) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hi,
Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and check if you still have this issue.
If you don’t have this issue anymore, activate your plugins one by one to see which one cause this. Usually this issues are caused by plugins that are in conflict with the theme javascript.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please check this guide(A,B,C) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also please update the plugins that come with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hi,
I see that you use old version, please upgrade to the latest version of the theme using this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and update also the plugins provided with the theme(Visual Composer, Social Counter..).
If you use an older version that 4, I recommend to do a clean install and recreate your homepage and check all the new theme features, blocks, modules. Please note that the Newspaper6 is practically a new theme, the whole code was rewritten, so old files customization or custom css will not works and you need to adjust it.
The latest version was tested and works with version 6 of the theme, I have also tested your fb id and it works fine – http://screencast.com/t/lJTufe5aC
Thanks!
Hi, I saw that I can easily filter elements by post_type into: Visual Composer->Blocks->Big Grid Side.
I can filter “post” and “event” but I cannot filter by respective categories.
I would like to show in this block all articles of certain post’s category “A” and at the same time I would like to show all “Events Manager’s events” with a certain category “B”
Where “A” is a post’s category and “B” is a event’s category.
How can I filter in this way?
Thank you in advance.
One follow up question please.
I am trying to replicate the look of this example page: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/
I have set the background colour for the grid in Visual Composer.
In Theme Panel options I have set the Header Style to Style 5 Full Dark menu with logo.
However I am seeing a white bar between the header and the grid. How do I remove this white bar? Also how do I edit the Top Bar colour? Thank you.
Hi,
We have made a quick test and it looks that it doesn’t work properly. I have added it on our list for further investigations(testings) and if we don’t find a solution we will open a ticket on Visual Composer support to fix it.
Thanks for reporting!
Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check again. If it’s not a conflicting plugin, you can try to regenerate your thumbs by using force regenerate plugin.
Let us know if the problem is still there after you try these solutions.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try it without any plugins. Remove all plugins except visual composer and the social icons. It could be a conflicting plugin. I also found some errors in your console: http://screencast.com/t/9EYAZNjIMo.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you for your idiot based explanation but it didn’t help really.
All customizations are based on child theme and custom CSS only.
Regarding plugins, here is the complete list. I don’t think I am using any fantasy plugins – they are all what we are using in many of our projects.
I don’t really know how disabling plugins will help as this is not something we can observe before it happens.
If we disable plugins AND wait if it will happen again, we will not have a working site, this is not a useful solution, sorry.
So, my question is, do you foresee any reasons why it could have happened based on the plugin and theme combination?

Hello,
Nothing happens for no reason at all, our theme does not delete images from your website. Please try to provide more details to your problem. Maybe you installed a plugin or made some customizations. If the problem reappears you can try to disable your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN files if you use it.
Based on what you wrote, we cannot know what caused the problem.
@Schuchi
I have checked your website and images seem to display fine: http://screencast.com/t/MIKlEtXdmrF – http://screencast.com/t/jcDV79FNFpTN
Let us know if the problem reappears.
Thank you!
Hi
Visual Composer plugin was not intended to work on posts with our theme and some features will not work fine in that case. When this plugin it’s used on posts the html structure change and the css code no longer applies as usually, that’s why the text doesn’t warp around the image.
As you suggested using a text block could be a solution to warp text around the image when VC it’s enabled for posts: http://screencast.com/t/EhVcxFeDxVc – http://screencast.com/t/CgKaaxQxI5
Thanks!
Hi,
Do you refer to the classic pagination(numeric)? Or to the next/prev block pagination?
If you are referring to the numeric pagination also the url should change when you click next – http://screencast.com/t/3FPHjsFDWAV so if it doesn’t change please re-save your permalinks from WP Settings.
For next/prev pagination please disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer and also check the browser console for errors. This issue appears usually when it is a conflict between a plugin(or more) and the theme’s javascript.
Regarding your second issue you can search online tutorials like – https://managewp.com/how-to-create-a-local-copy-of-a-live-wordpress-site
Thanks!
Hi
Visual Composer plugin has been updated because of some security vulnerabilities. The 4.7.4 version of the VC plugin, is already available in latest theme version package (6.5.1) so you should make sure you download the latest theme version from your themeforest account, downloads section: http://themeforest.net/downloads then update the Visual Composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hi,
Please create a few test posts (about 8) and add featured images to them. You can use the same image if you want.
Then when you add a block element on your page using visual composer, the block settings will appear: http://screencast.com/t/8o9SoWHQ – http://screencast.com/t/RfL2Ew0CcTO. There are a few option like the number of posts. If you only have 4 posts it will not slide because it will have nothing to slide to. You have to change this option to at least 8. Now your slider should appear and slide through your posts.
There are a number of other settings to a block element.
The first thing we recommend when using our theme for the first time is to check the documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ You will find very useful information in there.
You can also check our Youtube Chanel for video tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hi,
I have checked your site and found that you have some errors in the console – http://screencast.com/t/YUhCdv8cd1
Please check this how Bogdan suggested without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and disable any css/js minifications, then see if you still have this issue.
If the issue persist you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access so we can take a closer look, also paste a link to this topic so we can know what your issue is.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please clear all the caches, also check this only with Visual Composer and Woocommerce active and also check the Woocommerce settings for this. Also you can check the Woocommerce documentation – https://docs.woothemes.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/ as the theme supports Woocommerce, there are just few implementations for templates(for example add custom sidebar in Theme Panel..), the theme doesn’t alter the plugins settings.
So if you use cache plugin I suspect that it is the problem.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that the html structure of the page is affected, that’s why the elements are not displayed correct. If you made some changes in theme files try to revert them, also remove any custom code added in theme ads spots, row html, row js if you’re using, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and the problem appear on Chrome too. Also I noticed that the html structure for your menu is different then the one from the theme. Try deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also you can try this css in theme panel > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/x5SM3UGB
#mega_main_menu.direction-horizontal > .menu_holder.sticky_container > .menu_inner{
width: auto!important;
}
Thanks!
Hi
Try to save your permalinks under Settings > Permalinks: http://screencast.com/t/rsr73GLl deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches including browser’s cache then test again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
When a I create a post and apply a featured image with post template style 1, the post appears the way I like it. The featured image is in the top left with text to the right side wrapping the image. Then when I use visual composer the featured image now stands by it self at the top of the post and the text is below the featured image. There is no text wrapping. Does visual composer ignore the style 1?
Do I have to turn off the featured image setting for posts and use the text block in visual composer inserting an image to the left
so i got an email from envato (oct 11) saying that i should update my visual composer plug-in to 4.7.4… my current plug-in settings show it’s 4.7.1.1 … they gave me instructions (which are pretty inconveniencing on how to do this, since i’m more for automation), but what i don’t get is the link they sent, which takes me to http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431 … i can’t download the update there unless i get the plug-in for $34. i just purchasd the newspaper theme less than a month ago and i understand that all updates to plug-ins are included here.

Visual Composer Plugin Update Steps
Log in to codecanyon.net and proceed to download the latest version of Visual Composer to your computer from this URL: http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431
Locate and unzip the downloaded plugin file.
Connect to your server using an FTP client and upload the js_composer directory (from the downloaded zip file) to the wp-content/plugins/ directory. (Note: This will overwrite the old Visual Composer files with the secure versions.)
Log into WordPress and navigate to the Plugins page to confirm the Visual Composer plugin is version 4.7.4
The link to the latest version, provided above, will be live for 3 weeks from the time this email was sent. After this period, you will need to access the latest version via your theme zip file.
Please note: This replaces the existing plugin under the licensing of the theme(s) you’ve purchased and is only licensed for use in these themes.
