Hi,
Since version 4.4.2 the Visual Composer plugin has doubled in size and also has several new features therefore uses more resources.
If you have access to your error.log file, you can take a look at it and see if there’s any data that can lead to a conclusion on why the VC plugin has crashed.
You can also try to increased the memory limit in php.ini, might be your issue.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi,
Please add the “Homepage post” block usin Visual Composer to your page: http://screencast.com/t/xfOnuCsW and it will show featured image and title of your latest post(depends of your block settings-Category filter, tags): http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/homepage-with-a-post-featured/
Thanks!
Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins, leave only Visual Composer active, also clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN and check again if you still have this issue. If you don’t have it anymore activate your plugins one by one to see if there is a plugin conflict.
Also please make sure that you use the latest version of the theme(4.6.2) and the plugins that come with the theme files are updated. If you need to update follow this guide, use FTP method – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ also update the plugin that come with theme form /plugins folder – https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Let me know!
Thanks!

Hello
I have a problem with pagination of the newspaper theme. Page 2 and more are white like this :
Pagination in categories is correct and home is correct : http://wlaps.com/

Have you an idea ?
Hey Chris,
I am using 4.4.2 which is the latest version of Visual Composer.
I have checked all the other plugins and they are all updated including SEO by Yoast. I don’t user Revolution Slider.
I have renamed the main user name. I have changed my passwords to strong ones.
I am using WordFence as security plugin.
I am using the latest version of WordPress.
All plugins are correct.
My server is filtering bad IP ranges.
Hi,
I have been hacked 2-3 times in the last 2 months and I am using Newspaper Theme + WP Bakery Visual Composer.
Please UPDATE that plugin because I think you have a huge vulnerability there.
Thanks
Hi,
You can do this how is more easy for you. Anyway you will have to create new posts, categories, pages so you have demo like an example to see how you can create your own(how blocks are added using Visual Composer for example). Just take it step by step and create what you need and please follow our theme documentation it may also help: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
If you want to remove the demo please note that it can only be remover manually.
Thanks!
Hi.
1.7 crashed my Visual Composer. After trying for some time I got it to work, but now it doesn’t again.
I created a supportcase with Visual Composer, that after visiting my site told me that the theme crashed the VC plugin.
When can we expect a 1.8 update, or at least a 1.7.1 🙂 ?
Hi,
Please try without any plugins active leave just Visual Composer active, empty cache and check if you still have this issue. Also make sure that your child theme is update to the version of the theme.
Please provide your site URL so we can take a look.
Thanks!
Hi,
Could you please provide more details about the error/notifications/troubles you have with the login system. Also please note that the login system used by the theme is the wordpress’s default one.
I’ve checked your site and also noticed that you have js compressed so I suggest you turn js compression off then, empty caches, disable all plugins leaving just theme’s Visual Composer plugin active and test this again.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks
Hi,
Please try this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, also empty cache. Please provide theme version that you use and you also can use Chrome inspector tool and check your console for errors when you save Theme Setting: http://screencast.com/t/rLlCqSJamK
Thanks!
Hi guys,
Does anybody know how to remove the margin between two visual composer columns?
I’m trying to create a page that has a grid of content blocks where everything lines up right next to each other
e.g. 4 columns of single images
I’ve set the margin and padding to 0 using the Design Options within visual composer on both the content item and the column it self.
It removes the margin above and below but it has no affect on the margin between columns.
I’ve even created a CSS style with {margin: 0 !important; padding: 0 !important;} but that didn’t work either.
How can this be done?
Thanks Chris… All plugins are disabled except tagdiv social and visual composer.
if you type a comment it shows as you would expect it to, and deletes the count that was showing. but any comments in the database already, do not display.
Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, also clear cache and check if you still have this issue. If don’t have this issue anymore please activate your plugins one by one and see which one cause this issue.
Also please provide your site URL if still have issues.
Thanks!
Hi Lucian,
In our folder structure, there is no functions.php file in the wp-admin folder, as there is in your screenshot. However, there is a functions.php file in the wp-includes folder.
That functions.php file does not contain the function
function td_disable_visual_composer_features()
that I would need to edit.
Hi,
You can use the VC like button element: http://screencast.com/t/W3mp2UTxao
We have disabled some of Visual Composer’s elements and the FB Like button is one of the disabled elements. You can enable it back by editing your functions.php file and comments this line: http://screencast.com/t/9tj0BczF
After you enabled it use the VC page builder to customize the button, then get it’s short-code: http://screencast.com/t/O9jnPcBWk …and add it to the menu using the menu builder, like this: http://screencast.com/t/ndBoPkXX
Result: http://screencast.com/t/Bq2wEy7r85C
Use css to style it if you don’t like it appearance. This is the reason some of the VC element weren’t enabled on VC.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure that you have post to all those categories as if you don’t have that category will no show up there even you added category ID in the block settings.
I also tested this and it was the only way to recreate this(not having post on a category). Also there is no limit in the code files for this.
You can also check this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active and empty cache. Maybe there is a plugin conflict.
Thanks!

Hi, it doesn’t work (the box stay under, just the text inside is a little bit on the right) but thanks anyway, i will try the way to avoid visual composer into articles
Alberto
ive checked this and it works! but really, i dont understand why

Hi,
I tested this with your ID and seems to work fine – http://screencast.com/t/lj96emGWB3AK – http://screencast.com/t/IbLuK5Hq1Z
You can try also to add entire text that appear there pages/The-Awash-Post/1561451897477521 and it may take some time to update the likes number: http://screencast.com/t/of4vCvkT – http://screencast.com/t/1rht9PBYz
Also try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer and Social Counter enabled and empty cache.
Thanks!
Hi,
The issue may be caused by a plugin conflict, you have an error in the console – http://screencast.com/t/ruGNaxHf8Ta
Try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and check if the issue is still there. Enable the rest one by one until you find the one that’s causing this issue.
If this doesn’t work please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com , paste a link to this thread and provide wp-admin access so i can take a look.
Thank you.
Hi Chris,
Thanks on the feedback? I haven’t done nothing custom per se and i don’t even know exacly how to do that (my usage is “newbie level”, i just use the WP Bo funcionalities, i don’t venture on css or direct html editing) but your views on why this is happening make sense. I will try different setups using the visual composer and the theme BO but i hope Google fix this and/or Tagdiv can help us in sorting this out, it really messes up presentation.
All the best,
Hi,
Please make sure that Visual Composer is set for pages: http://screencast.com/t/9FlfqnBgLt
Let me know!
Thanks!
