Hi,
I tested this with your ID and seems to work: http://screencast.com/t/qDtWyFVLE – http://screencast.com/t/qwyK4238vJD
I see that you use newspaper please let me know what version of Social Counter do you use. And also try this without any plugins active(leave only Visual Composer and Social Counter active) and empty cache.
Also make sure you use the social counter plugin right following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-set-social-counter/
Thanks!

Hi,
I have checked your site and noticed that you have several js errors in your console which cause this issues: http://screencast.com/t/R8yA4HyC
The theme needs Visual Composer to work so you need to use it and 4.3.5 version is the right one to use so should work fine.
The speed booster plugin is not required by the theme to work, that plugin is used to speed up your site so you can disable it at the moment as in use with other plugins could cause issues.
Check your site without any plugins active and make sure you empty cache or purge files if you are using CDN then test again.
If you still have issues when using just the VC please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com , paste a link to this conversation and provide wp-admin access so I can take a look.
Thanks
Hi,
Please update your theme if you are not using the latest theme version (4.6.1), use ftp method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ and make sure that the plugins that comes with the theme are also updated. You can find them in /plugins folder that comes with the theme files that you downloaded.
Also try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active and also make sure you empty cache/purge files then check again.
Thanks!
Hi,
You don’t need to update it/buy it, we will provide the updated version of the plugin within next theme update. For now please ignore the update notification from WordPress.
Please also note that:
The theme includes a license for this plugin so you don’t have to buy it.
You don’t have to activate the plugin license, it’s already activated.
You can’t update the plugin directly from the it’s producer.
You don’t have to worry about the plugin update warnings.
You have shared more info about this here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-update-visual-composer-2/
Thanks

Hi,
First please make sure you also test this without any plugins active and leave just Visual Composer plugin active together with the speed booster plugin and also empty cache then check again.
This could also happen when using the speed booster plugin as this plugin moves the css and js automatically to the bottom of the page.
I have also tested your site and haven’t noticed this behavior. Please let me know if you still experience this and make sure you update the theme to the latest version and also update the speed booster plugin then let me know if you still have this issue.
Thanks
Hi,
The “pick and drop items..” issue was reported when using an older version of the plugin together with the latest version of WordPress (4.1).
Please make sure that you download and update your theme to the latest version (4.6.1) and also remove and install the VC plugin from the /plugins folder which came with the theme files, use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
This was tested so you shouldn’t have any issues.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure you also test this without any plugins active and leave just Visual Composer plugin active and also empty cache then check again.
We suggest to deactivate all plugins to make sure this doesn’t happen due to others plugins you use, also if you don’t use latest version of Speed Booster plugin please install it from the /plugins folder that was provided together with the theme files. If you have the latest version of the theme (4.6.1) you should have Speed Booster version 3.1.
Thanks!
Hi,
1. You can change display view for category’s page from here: http://screencast.com/t/v0tZKoep5
2. For tag’s page please deactivate all plugins, leave only Visual Composer active, also empty cache then try again. And let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi,
We will provide you an update of Visual Composer when Newspaper theme will be updated. Till then please ignore the update message for plugin.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-update-visual-composer-2/
Thanks!
Thanks for the help so far.
Two things I’ve noticed:
1. It says ‘This theme requires the following plugin: WPBakery Visual Composer.’ at the top of the page. I currently have Version 4.3.5 installed.
Also there was originally two of these plugins installed. I deleted the lower version.
2. When tagDiv Speed Booster is activated it turns the mobile site to a blank page. – it’s currently still inactive.
So it looks like there’s an issue with the ‘WPBakery Visual Composer’ and the tagDiv Speed Booster seems to block the mobile version being displayed.
Anyone recommend a next step?
Regards
Steve
Hi.
My Visual Composer is not working i have disable all plugins an enable only VS but is not working also i have clear cache but again it’s not working. http://imgur.com/a/aqh9M
+ When i want to write something it shows me blank post i can’t write and edit.
Please Helpp me
Hi,
Ever since I installed the template on my site (http://allaboutoccult.com), WordPress keeps telling me to update Visual Composer. But I can’t without the License Key. What do I do?
Thank you for the response, but again, just like your example, the gap remains between the menu and the big slide with a background. Maybe you can post screenshots of your settings that you are using to not have the gap as the setting described only get me so far.
Here are the settings I used, to include the spacer/gap tool. I tried as posted (45px) and I went up and down the scale to no avail. The spacer/gap tool only adjusts the space between the top of the row component and the included component (big slide). This does not change the gap between the menu and the row. Furthermore, I went as far as to edit the row and column settings CSS to “0” for padding, etc.

The results are the same. I even switched to using a solid color and the gap sill remains. Again, this is simply not intuitive.

You keep saying you have no problems on your websites etc. How did you get yours to work? The post grid is only supported with the newest Visual Composer which is not provided by the Theme at the moment because they have not updated it yet.
As I told you I don’t know what you think of me but I tried the theme on a clean WordPress INSTALL with the plugin Visual Composer and still doesn’t work. I did that to see where the problem is – it looks like the problem is from the theme.
Hey, look at the info top right of this page: hours of support ? Closed weekends. It’s now Sat/Sun. They will be back on Monday.
Support Hours (GMT+2)
Monday - Friday:
8:00 AM - 17:00 PM
You can’t easily use the standalone version of Visual Composer with this theme, since it includes its own bundled version with custom code. The theme only “out of the box” supports the bundled version. You’re somewhat on your own if you want to use the commercial version of the plugin.
Without a link to *an example page* where you have the problem, it’s unlikely you’d get any help. You can also email tagdiv support directly with your example page if the site is not yet public.
So some of the shit and crap is waiting on you to address. You would need to modify the theme to remove its built in code for Visual Composer.
For the theme to work as provided, you need to REMOVE the commercial version of Visual Composer, and follow the installation directions and install the version INCLUDED WITH THE THEME. That is what it’s for. You can’t have both.
Hopefully that crappy answer will help with your shit?

As I said I used a clean install of WordPress just the Newspaper theme and visual composer and it doesn’t work. It shows only one post per row and it is big as I showed you in the screenshot.
If you want a more flexible big slider or background don’t use the template Homepage with the BG and article list but use the Homepage with just article list. Then insert the big slider as an element from the Visual Composer on top of the page then if you want background Go to > Row Settings of the Big Slide and select Background then > Select Image Paralax and the most important thing is to select Maximum Full Width under Background Override. If you want to adjust the space between the slider and menu use a Spacer / Gap.
The other thing you can use is a Revolution Slider which comes with the theme and it is fully customizable like I did here – http://www.toppcnews.com.

UPDATE: I have tested your theme with a CLEAN install of WordPress only with visual composer. The POST GRID does not work as it should be so the problem is from your theme – please don’t give me the usual crap or tell me otherwise the problem is from the theme.
The response I got from WPBakery –
The issue is most likely because there is an inbuilt version of visual composer (or the related code) present in your theme which is overriding the standalone plugin version and hence causing the issue. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.
Thank you,
My Visual Composer is not working anymore when you try to pick and drop items. Last time i noticed it was because of the update. How soon are we going to get it?
Who would of thought drag and drop actually has a learning curve?!
Hello to all. I am looking to resolve an issue I seem to have with ad placement.
I have tried the following, but I do not want to add a title to the second and following ads:

If I use the ‘Text with title’ box to place an ad (adding the code manually) it aligns along the left side. If I use the ‘Ad box’ it aligns center.

I want to have my first ad have the title ‘Advertisement’ on it, but the rest to just be ads which can be done using the ‘Ad box’, but how can I get the ‘Ad box’ to align left to look uniform in the sidebar?
Thank you.
I believe, as noted in the docs, that some of the shortcodes used by visual composer changed, and you need to either update the codes – or redo the layout for those affected sections.
If that is not the issue, then apologies for the comment. I had something similar happen and it was due to the shortcodes changes, so I just redid the affected modules on home page then it worked. 🙂
Not sure the “demo” pack is updated to the latest version of the codes. Maybe try this with your own content?

Doesn’t matter what I do Post Grid is not responsive at all and I can’t get it to work as in a grid. It doesn’t matter where I put it it doesn’t work. Your theme is bugged and it doesn’t work with all visual composer elements… I really need the post grid…

Ok. I have found. The problem comes from the plugin WP ROCKET, a cache plugin. Even if i desactivate it, the problem remains. But if i change the settings of the plugin, the theme works fine.
This plugin is really s… !
Thanks
(ps: if you have the answer for visual composer update…)
