Have problem with my Visual Composer License Key, again!

You can’t manually update the plugin; it’s a free “bundled” version, which is tested and contains compatible custom modules for the theme.
The version included with the theme is updated when major theme updates are released.
You cannot update the commercial paid version to work with the theme, as they may not have all the same functions and because the version included with theme is optimized for the theme.
Not rally a PITA as you have no need to update every dot revision of the plugin to add features not included with the theme or tested to even work properly.
Just because an update is available doesn’t mean you need to have it!

Yet when I click through it says I need to have purchased it from within the envato marketplace. Are you going to introduce a way for us to automatically update this “Required” plugin without having to do it manually? This is a huge PITA.
I have the same problem:
It reports: “Please enter your CodeCanyon Visual Composer license key, you can find your key by followi…Invalid liense key. Please check information in your envato profile.”

Should work. Mine does. Basically you have a license code from the downloads for the theme, for the theme license. This is entered in the NEWSMAG theme panel, with theme panel active. If you have Newspaper license that won’t work with Newsmag or vice versa.
If you don’t have theme installed, it’s impossible for the theme to ask you to activate theme.
You don’t enter theme activation in Envato plugin, but in the theme panel when theme is properly installed and selected/active as current theme for site.
Theme activation also has nothing to do with Visual Composer plugin, which is bundled with theme and needs no activation key.

For some reason when I tried to move a block in one of the section up higher than it was after saving it the whole layout got messed up and for some reason even tho 1/1 is selected on the layout of that element the widgets/blocks don’t stretch out the way they’re supposed to.
Then when i click on the layout option tab 1/1 is select but so is 2/3 + 1/3 and the 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 option and I can’t deselect any of them for some reason. Anybody know how to fix this?

Hi, we tried to update the Visual Composer released via FTP and plugin upload. It will install fine, but when you try to get back onto the site or backend, you get a blank white screen no errors. We have to then delete or rename the plugin folder via FTP to get the site back up. Any input would be greatly appreciated, the CHANGE NOTES on Visual Composer are pretty lengthy and would be good to upgrade to this version.
will there be a update for newsmag that includes this?

All this scripts jquery.min.js / td_site.min.js / comment-reply.min.js and stylesheets also s_composer.css / style.css and fonts are by default moved to the footer when you activate the tagdiv speed booster plugin: http://screencast.com/t/btjgYihJ so you don’t need to add them just make sure you have this plugin active and also check if this happens when by checking the page source.

ex . If you have the latest version of the theme (4.6.1) you should have Speed Booster version 3.1

I have created 3 tabs with Visual Composer.
In Tab 1 there is a youtube video, which does not show correctly.
In Tab 3 there is a gallery with 4 pictures, but it doesn’t show correctly too.

I think that is going to be quite complicated since you’d also need to setup the thumbnail sizes.
I think you can create your own custom Visual Composer layouts, but that is not part of the theme and might be addressed to VC support as modifying Visual Composer layouts is related to the plugin and not the theme directly.
So you can EDIT the code to create your own block from scratch (support can’t do that for you) …
basically you would create your own code, shortcode, and then add the custom shortcode to the system …
there are some mentions of this in the forum for newspaper and newsmag such as this which might give you starting point:

But generally you need to wait until support has a free moment to help you “hack” the theme outside of normal support and how it was designed. Hacking the theme isn’t normal support, but as available support, so please allow them a little time to figure out whether what you’re asking is doable or not without breaking the theme.
Do you know how to create the new shortcode, new VC code, and ready to create new thumbnail sizes and put that in functions files, etc.? It’s not a simple answer.
So, if you do have the edited code already to go which you’ve built, just hang on a bit and they will get back to you as soon as they can 🙂
Have you installed and tested the plugin/extension for Visual Composer you want to use?
I’ve disabled all the plugin except visual composer and still the videos do not load. What else can be the issue?

I have also tested this using the latest theme version(4.6.1) and haven’t found any issues with this so please make sure that you also use the latest theme version then deactivate all plugins leaving just the Visual Composer plugins active, then empty cache and also purge files if you use any CDN host services and check again.

I wonder how can I copy-clone plugins on Visual Composer.
What I want to do is this look instead big grid with the help of plugins for visual composer.
So I wont to duplicate addons “Block 14” and “Block 15” so you can change css (mainly the height and width of the image) that can make the look you want this instead of big grid.

I checked your site and I found JavaScript errors in console: http://screencast.com/t/IiZTbeKLpmc which means that a plugin’s script is conflicting with theme’s js and causes this.
Please make sure that your check this without any plugins active, empty all caches/purge files if you sue CDN host services then check again (leave just the Visual Composer plugin active).

The Visual Composer plugin is included in the theme’s files within the /plugins folder so you don’t have to buy it, as instructed in the guide provided by Alin above: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ ..use the FTP method, deleted the plugin folder then upload the plugin from the /plugins folder that was provided along with the theme files which you’ve downloaded from themeforest. This was tested many times so you should not have any issues with it.
Regarding youtube playlist we suggest you disable all plugin empty cache/purge files (if you are using CDN host services) as I have found various js error in your browsers’s console which can cause this so I suspect that a plugin is conflicting with theme js: http://screencast.com/t/x9ksjStPR
Make sure you try all this and let me know if you still have issues afterwards.

On my site here: http://vbjusa.wpengine.com/ scroll down the page under Business Spotlight there is the heading OPINION, which was renamed from Latest Articles. I’d like there not to be white space there. If I ad more items to the sidebar the white space increases. It is possible to disable the Latest Article? and just use the Visual Composer to layout the site?

In the demo, there is a home page with a big slider on top. Which VC composer module is this using? Also, can I set slider to auto-start the slide rotation?
