3. Besides theme’s implementation regarding SEO we also recommend the use of WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin and follow this guide for higher ranking for wordpress sites: https://yoast.com/articles/wordpress-seo/
4. Please send your site’s URL so I can also inspect this and also provide a screenshot of the exact layout you have used.
5. Please use this guide on how to update your theme and use the FTP method and upload the theme files via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/

Hi,
Thanks Christopher for reporting this. We have also made some tests and noticed some issues with the “Drag and Drop” functionality of the Visual Composer plugin and possible other issues too.
They have already announced that have made a fix and an update should be available soon:http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431/comments#comment_8659824
We will also release and updated withe the fixed version of the Visual Composer plugin as soon as we have it.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks again for reporting this!
OK SOLVED!!!! It took me hours…. literally two days of work to narrow this down. Basically there are two database entries that could be put into the WP_OPTIONS table that specifically relate to WordPress Bakery’s Visual Composer.
In my case the two database entries specifically set parameters for the Columns and Rows of WPB’s Visual Composer. Of course components of “Pages” built on this theme use the columns from the Visual Composer.
Deleting those two entries will fix the problem.
This is likely going to be rare for most, unless you are moving directly from Newspaper and had configured some Column and Row functions in the Visual Composer.
I found this by installing a fresh copy of WordPress onto the same NGINX system and comparing the database entries in the old and new instance.
I imported the old database tables into the new one to see which one broke it. Once the options table was imported that caused the rendering issues. Going through hundreds of lines, I found the two responsible.
Easy way to find them is search for an “Option Name” with %___% wild cards in phpmyadmin. Use this specific term “wpb”.
You may get several options listed in rows in the output. The ones with Column and/or Row specifically in the Option Name should be deleted.
Actually you “can” delete all related options but keep the “wpb_js_templates” option as that is common to both a fresh install and a legacy install.
Well, now rendering is fixed for pages and columns and rows work as expected! Yay.
PS: This has nothing to do with NGINX. I confirmed the exact same issue is present on both Apache 2.4.10 with MPM-Prefork and PHP-FPM.

Hi,
We haven’t had any similar reports and we also haven’t made any tests using on an Nginx sever configuration, so I can’t offer you an exact answer on that, but if your web server causes this I suggest you also go trough you server configuration.
Please also try to remove and re-install the Visual Composer plugin and check if this happens again.
Thanks

Just upadted my wordpress installation from 4.0.1 to 4.1 and WP Bakery’s Visual Composer is broken.
Trying to move any element around freezes the mouse pointer in the move cursor and bugs out the VC element you are tying to move around, freezing it and leaving it unable to be edited or clicked. Happens on new pages and old pages. Tried, IE, Chrome and Firefox.

the page is restricted, if you provide me an IP address I can enable you access & give you log in info for you to check.
Hi,
It seems you have some errors in the console – http://screencast.com/t/uBjZlBX0ox2Q
Try to disable all plugins, enable only Visual Composer and see if the issue is still there.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
Please also try this without any plugins active which can cause conflicts and leave active just contact from and Visual Composer and check again. This should not happens as I have also tested this and found no issues with this.
Please also make sure that you have a sidebars set for your page. If you still have issues with this please try this layout for your page and check the result: http://screencast.com/t/rUyGydqsM3jW

Hi Lucian,
Thanks for the reply. I believe it may be some sort of incompatibility with Nginx which is what my web server is running on. I may try switching to Apache to see if that fixes the problem.
Also, this appears to be an issue specific to the Visual Composer column function.
Thanks,
Lua
Hi,
I just install your Newspaper theme and i donot found many elements of Visual Composer (etc: arcordion) http://prntscr.com/5i4216. When I install this plugin (i get it in plugin folder on hosting) on other theme, it becomes http://prntscr.com/5i42d3.
Can you fix it ?
Regards,
hi, thanks again! No need to be upset. You helped me anyways. I hope the theme support give me a hand on this one because adsence code is ok and can’t be modified (becuase of TOS) , in my other sites work just fine. I am pretty sure this is happening because of visual composer.
anyways i will keep researching…..
S
Works great for most people.
Can you be more specific?
Did you install Visual Composer following the theme documentation? (see link right side of page).
It think this is because of the responsive setting of visual composer, naturally Google search has the button at the right and i also have the search box set to be short but VS is enlarging it to fit the whole column. Not sure i understand what you propose, can you explain in more detail?
Thanks a lot!
Hi guys, I am traing to implement Google search bar on a page with visual composer but the “search” button is pushed down no matter how i implement it. how can I make it be at the right?
Hi,
@Vishal Please make sure that you install the theme right and use this guide for that: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installation-newsmag/ and use the FTP method to upload the theme into themes folder then activate it from appearance > themes panel.
After this Install the Visual Composer plugin (required by the theme to work well).
Please let me now if you still have issues with this.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked your site and seems that your accordion items don’t contain any anchor(link) tags: http://screencast.com/t/H8dFaBGDIO
I suggest you go trough plugins’s settings and check for an option to place link on posts or something similar.
You can also use the Visual Composer post carousel:

Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
You could use the shortcode function to do it and add your content directly into post’s template file, like this: http://screencast.com/t/WQAlNNPrz
You can build a block with visual composer then switch to classic mode then add it to the template using the same method like for the custom ads above:
You can more info related what you would have to do it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-questions/
Hope this helps!
Thanks
First off, I own both the Newspaper and Newsmag themes and they’re great. Thanks for putting together such great themes.
For my local News website I am only going to have two types of posts, News and Ads. They are going to be posted in a simple “Block 13” type list only. I hope to have it alternate with an ad, then a story and repeat..
I need some way to stylize the advertisement posts differently than the news posts. I can do this building a page in Visual Composer with multiple blocks, which allows me to stylize the advertisement blocks differently. ( http://christopherpayne.ca/development/02.jpg )The problem is, I cannot use the infinite scroll, or load more stories because I need both types/blocks to alternate. With those functions they are only within one block.
I am hoping to post 20+ stories (10 articles,10 Ads) a day so I dont want to build out one long page in VC with 20 individual blocks. That would be a huge page to load.
I guess what I am asking is:
Is there a way to have different styles of posts within the same category? This would work great, as I could just have everything in one category.
if not, Is there a way to build my multiblocked pages so that there is some sort of page system at the bottom? I hope to not have the site loading 30 posts all at the same time.
I hope that this makes sense. I really love this new Theme, and it is so close to working exactly how I need it to.
Thanks so much,
Chri5
Thnak you Chris,
How can I reinstall Visaul Composer?
Im gusessing im going to need my license. But I think it came with the theme, right?
Can you hep me?
Likely try turning off all plugins except Visual Composer, and see if your panel works; then turn on plugins one by one to see which one is not compliant with the rest.
If using IE11+ or Chrome, you can also see the “errors” from your admin page by pressing F12 to load the “console” which is a great way to debug issues.
if you “recently updated your theme” – it’s possible not all the files were properly written. Did you delete old theme folder before uploading new one? Did you turn off all caching and plugins prior to updating?

I would probably re-install Visual Composer as a first step.
Or, if using a CDN or cache; try clearing/resetting that to capture updated version of the site content.
You need to install the Visual Composer plugin for the theme to work properly.
See the theme docs (link right side of this page), to ensure you install properly.
