Hi again Vlad,

This might have been me being stupid, but I’ve just realised that the CSS panel that you can pull-up on an individual page in the Composer isn’t actually for that page… it’s site wide.

I really, really need the follow CSS to be adjustable for specific pages:

.menu-item-644,
.menu-item-643,
.menu-item-642,
.menu-item-641,
.menu-item-640,
.menu-item-639,
.menu-item-638,{
background-color: #43b3e7;
padding-top:3px;
padding-bottom:3px;
padding-left:5px;
padding-right:5px;
margin:5px;

}
.menu-item-656 {
padding-top:3px;
padding-bottom:3px;
padding-left:5px;
padding-right:5px;
margin:5px;
border-style:solid;
border-color:#999999;
border-width:1px;
}

How would I do that using Page IDs or something else?

Thanks
Rich

you provide the option to bold and italic the text but don’t provide the option to underline. why ?

and when I add the custom CSS it applies on the whole line, not on a specific word. please solve the problem

Yes, but this is only after the custom css I injected as mentioned above. Not from the theme panel or tagdiv composer.

Thanks.

Hi,

1. So you have created a page besides the homepage. Pages can display any posts you want, the blocks have an extensive filtering and sorting options, please see this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Posts that appear in blocks will lead to the post page.

So for example you can place 5 blocks, each can show posts from your desired categories. Most sorting methods are dynamic, an exception would the featured method
https://prnt.sc/onaz3p
If you would like to make a block or grid display specific posts, you could sort by featured for more control. That means that only posts that you assign to the Featured category will appear in that element – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
If you add just one post in the featured category, that will be displayed in the block until another one is added, and so on.

2. Each block or grid can be filtered as a whole. So it is not possible to filter it to show 3 posts from one specific category, and 2 from another – https://prnt.sc/onb1tz
Use multiple blocks to have a different filtering set on them.

3. One way is to use the featured sort, as mentioned in my first answer. But the posts will still cycle as you enter more in the featured category.
You could enter post IDs manually in the provided filter – https://prnt.sc/onb38k
Once post IDs are entered there, that block or grid will always show only those posts, until you edit the page and replace/remove them.
The filtering and sorting will affect the block or grid as a whole, the posts will be displayed accordingly. There can’t be a static (sticky) post in one module while the rest use a different sort.

4. Some footer styles come with predefined content, this content can’t be changed. The widgets you mention are 2 block 7 widgets and a popular category widget, that are predefined in the footer, they can’t be removed or customized.

If you want to replicate this but with your own settings, you can choose an empty footer template – https://prnt.sc/onb6qy and add a block 7 widget in the first and second footer section, and a popular category in the third – https://prnt.sc/onb7gj COnfigure them as you want. The popular category widget will show categories which have the most posts in them automatically.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
The theme provides an option to set a footer page instead of a template. So you can also create a page and set it to appear in the footer, instead of a template.

5. I believe you are referring to the email in the footer
https://prnt.sc/onb9rt
Like other elements the color of the email link will be the theme accent color
https://prnt.sc/onba0q
A dedicated setting just for the email isn’t available unfortunately. However I could give you a code to change it’s color without changing thew theme accent color
https://prnt.sc/onbbz1
The code can be entered in the Theme panel->Custom code->CSS section
https://prnt.sc/onbc7dhttps://pastebin.com/8aeM6F9a

Please let me know if I missed something.
Thanks

Hi,

Are you entering the ACF date and country manually? Maybe they can be split in two ACF fields, then you can wrap each in their own container in the code, so they can be targeted individually – https://prnt.sc/omummwhttps://prnt.sc/omuom3https://prnt.sc/omup88

If that is not possible, another way you could do is to simply add a br tag between them like this
https://prnt.sc/omuk42https://prnt.sc/omukbg
It should set the country in a new line, but it still cannot be targeted with CSS.

Thanks

Hi,

You can achieve this using custom css if the page look like this http://prntscr.com/omsw0z -> http://prntscr.com/omswdo
.page-id-1959 .td-footer-wrapper{
width: 100%;
position: absolute;
background-color: #111111;
bottom: 0px;
}

All you need to do is to remove the “.page-id-1959” and this code will be apply on all website, or just change the number of id with the id of the page you want to show the footer at the bottom.
http://prntscr.com/omsxvd

Thank you!

Hi Vlad S,

Thank you very much! Yes, that would be much easier than CSS setting.
One of the reasons I love this theme is just like that.

Have a lovely day.

Hi Simion

I’m playing with making the country a tag, creating a separate Country taxonomy and then filtering against this – kind of makes sense, though I thought that extra alternative to a tag would scoop up another option and that also doesn’t solve the date issue so a container maybe the only option.

I tried the container div css code with article/section underneath it but it didn’t work.

I will keep trying but any insight you could give would be helpful.

Thanks for everything you have done.

Best

Hi,

I’m going to change my blog site theme to Newspaper theme. I’m using currently using PC Widget as the default setting in the post which I assume Newspaper doesn’t have it.
That is called double rectangle Google ads are one of my main income settings so I don’t want to lose the position.

You can have a look this, http://www.myartylife.net

I’m going to use “Beauty blog” template.

I don’t know if it’s possible to use in “Theme Panel” > “ADS” > “article bottom ads”, which is automatically inserted every single post. However, I will also insert “Matching content” ad in “article bottom ads” in “Theme Panel” too.
Well, basically I’d like to insert ads just like my current posts.

I’ve tried to add CSS as 2 columns using AddQuicktag plugin but it didn’t work at all.

Could you please help me to set up as CSS with 2 horizontal columns Google ads settings?

Cheers,

Hello !

Your issue comes from a plugin conflict as you can see you have a line height set and it’s not from our theme css: https://www.screencast.com/t/9Iadwbclv5Pu

We will be able to provide a refund if you make a request here:https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new

We are sorry for the inconvenience !

Thanks Vlad,

Yep that changes the background color. But I want that background color to be white, and the text to be black on every active page in that list. With the others in the list being the blue boxes with white text.

It seems so odd that I can change anything to do with those links expect this for the text:

.menu-item-671 {
color: black;
}

Doesn’t seem to work even with an !important in the CSS.

Tricky, eh?

So you want to do this for category pages and post pages. I can provide a code to remove the Instagram section from the sidebar on mobile, I could also remove a post from those two blocks (the third module). The sidebar will look like this on mobile
https://prnt.sc/omeysl
The code will apply to all category pages and post pages on mobile. It can be entered in the Theme panel->Custom code->CSS section

@media(max-width: 767px){
.category .td-main-sidebar .td_block_instagram,
.single .td-main-sidebar .td_block_instagram,
.category .td-main-sidebar .td_block_15 .td-cust-row:nth-child(2),
.category .td-main-sidebar .td_block_15 .td-cust-row:nth-child(2) {
display: none;
}}

I can modify it if needed. Let me know.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for that, sorry! If you want to hide them you will need to use a bit of CSS code for that. Use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

@media
(max-width:767px){
.td-category{
display:none;
}
}

Thank you!

Hi,

The title line spacing can be reduced by changing the line-height, for example
https://prnt.sc/ombguv (default is 21px)

.td_block_10 .td_module_9 .item-details {
line-height: 15px;
}

The space below the tags is there because by a margin. Where tags appear usually (in the post page) there is a margin. This margin applies now in the module, but it can be removed
https://prnt.sc/ombln2

.td_block_10 .td_module_9 .td-tags {
margin: 0;
}

To make the text grey, as it is now, you could do this – https://prnt.sc/ombqyz

.td_block_10 .td_module_9 .news_details,
.td_block_10 .td_module_9 .news_details > a {
color: grey;
}

Adding a margin between the title and date is possible for some modules, the ones that have a link for the title, as then you can target the link and add the margin or padding
https://prnt.sc/ombs6l
But the ones with no link contain just text, there is no HTML to target
https://prnt.sc/ombsl0

.td_block_10 .td_module_9 .news_details > a {
margin-right: 10px;
}

For the country to be in a new line it would have to be set in the code itself, or with CSS. With CSS it cannot be targeted as it currently is – https://prnt.sc/ombtfu
There isn’t a CSS code to target specific characters from a text that aren’t part of a container, and place them in a new line.

Maybe you can add containers for the displayed data, so they can be targeted better. Let me know.

Thanks
