Hi,

I’m trying to do multiple categories filter on the homepage but it doesn’t show up in the header of block 1.

I actually tried with Beauty blog Demo but it didn’t show up either. At that time, I thought it might work actual posts but nope, it doesn’t.
I followed the tutorial and everything else is working except multiple categories header in the block.

Could you please check it for me?

Cheers,

Also tried to add the code to the loop-single-5.php like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nfexwps0y050xjw/demo123.jpg?dl=0 – without result

Hi,

For the homepage you can choose a static page, or the default WordPress blog page (your latest posts)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
The blog page doesn’t have many settings, it will be a list of the posts you have published sorted by latest.

The logo will always lead to the website homepage when clicked. The homepage you set in the WordPress reading settings. You can also add the homepage in the menu, as on our demo
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

1/2. I don’t quite understand what you want to do with those pages. Create as many pages as you want with the elements you want in them, there is no limit.
The post page option in the WordPress reading settings won’t be used by the theme
https://prnt.sc/omb6d1 as there is not need for it. With the composer you can build any page and configure it to display the desired content, and add it to the menu if needed.

Let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

The infinite loading feature for posts is available regardless of the demo used. It has been around for quite some time – https://tagdiv.com/infinite-loading-for-single-posts/

The option can be activated while editing a cloud post template
https://i.imgur.com/m2YxV1Y.png
Activate and configure the infinite loading with the available options, then you can apply that post template to the posts you want. They will have infinite loading (the posts that are auto-loaded can use any post template).

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi, I have updated my theme to the latest version and I see some new demos are available. One of the demos i.e. life news has continuous scroll post such as this onehttps://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_life_news/2019/02/15/driven-launches-tesla-airport-transfer-service-in-uk/. If I enable this theme then will I be getting this function?

Hi,

1. Please check these guides – https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-new-users-and-authors-to-your-wordpress-blog/
https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-add-an-authors-photo-in-wordpress/

2. The theme provides 17 block header styles – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-1/
You can choose one in general in the theme panel – https://prnt.sc/olve2b
Also there are options per block/element in the composer – https://prnt.sc/olvera
The setting in the composer will override the setting in the theme panel. So for example if I set in the theme panel block header style 2 – https://prnt.sc/olvfhy and a different one in the composer for specific blocks/elements, the one from the composer will apply
https://prnt.sc/olvg0h

3. Those are different things, the settings that the composer has for the single image element can’t be used for images inside the post content if that is what you mean. If I misunderstand let me know.

4. Can’t say which plugin to use exactly, most membership plugins offer content restriction as far as I know. try some free plugins if possible, and check how they work and if they have the options you require – https://justlearnwp.com/most-popular-best-free-wordpress-membership-plugins/

5. That would be up to the membership plugin, if it has a content restriction it must have options to remove the restriction based on an action. If it can do it based on an user having paid the subscription, then it is possible.

The sign in/join allows users to log in the website. The theme ads a modal window as design – https://prnt.sc/olvr8t but the functionality is the same as the default WordPress login screen – https://prnt.sc/olvruf
Membership plugins may have their own login that maybe has to be used.

Thanks

Hi, good morning,

One easy question. Can i have the homepage set in 3 grid columns out of the box, without importing any demo? I´ve tried to do it, but i couldn´t.

Thank you

Hello !

That is due to having a footer page. The racing mag demo comes with custom footer page wich it doesn’t include a sub footer.

If you want you can edit it using the tagDiv Composer and edit it as you want or simply switch to a default footer from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/rHz4xBix

Thank you !

Thank you !

Hi,

Thank you for choosing our theme. I will do my best to help you with your questions.

There are multiple types of blocks and grids provided by the theme. There is quite a variety of blocks designed by us that can be imported with the cloud library plugin
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
Here is some more information about the cloud plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Those blocks are based on the flex blocks and grids available in the composer
http://prntscr.com/oldw8m
So for example if you wish to use one you can load it directly while editing a page in the composer – http://prntscr.com/oldyjhhttp://prntscr.com/oldyto

There are also predefined blocks, grids and full grids
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Their layout is predefined and they don’t have as many settings as the flex elements.

You can add as many of them as necessary in any page. There is no limit for how many elements can be placed in a page.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

The demo used a cloud header template, this one
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/header/Headers/742
These headers are built with the composer, that is how they can be edited as well. Please check in the cloud library section in the dashboard, the header should be there and you can edit it – http://prntscr.com/olc4g3
Here is some more informational about the cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

If you need help with it, let me know how would you like it to look or what modifications you want to do to it.

Thanks

Hi, I have just installed your theme – Main demo.

WP backend top bar with WP LOGIN button in the left (and nothing else in the rest of the top bar except for WP logo on the right) is still visible even after logout.

This WP backend top bar is visible even after I log out of WP, an it is positioned right above the black navigation bar that is part of the theme, which is obviously a mistake.

Please advise on how to remove the black WP login top bar – that is normally only visible in WP backend (not the black navigation bar under it that is part of the theme header) from the title page.

Thank you.

Hi,

This is a very fundamental question about feature images.
I have checked your demo images are around 1068 x 712px but I have uploaded compressed 800 x 550px, 48kB for the feature image with PhotoshopCC and looks fine. I think I may have to upload up to 80KB for good quality images (it depends on the original photo).
I have also set up in “Media Settings” >large size > max Width 1068px > max height 1068px.
should I change 800 x 800px? for larg size setting in “Media Settings”, is this work for what I want?

I’m using Beauty blog template and all pages and post have sidebar so there are not any full-width posts, just want to fill in only for width in the post content area.

I’m trying to build this site as light as possible with good quality photos.

If there is any advice for this website set?

Cheers,

Hello vlad, thank you soo much brother for you help and your time,

unfortunately, this is not what i meant i think i didn’t explain myself well (my english is not that good).

Please check this page: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_animals/td-post-6-animals-that-went-viral-around-the-world/
normaly when i insert a page break in my post i get page 1 2 3 4 5… etc… but in this page (link above) there is only 2 options next and back, i didn’t meant previous and next article. what i want is split my blog post intro multiple pages.
i’m wondering if i could do that with newspaper or does it need a pluging or something

thank you again so much for your time and consideration vlad (y)

Hello !

Every person has it’s own tastes. It is impossible for us to say that Demo X is better than Demo Y or so. you will have to look through each one and see wich one fits your tastes. You can check them out faster here: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper

Thank you !

Hi,
I have a newspaper theme which comes with lots of demo theme. Which demo theme do you prefer for blogging? Please let me know. Thank you.

Vlad S

Hello !

Because every single customer has a different website, different layout, different custom work done or not to them, different plugins. It is impossible for us to test with everything that is out there, so that’s why the best solution is to make a demo site and test there. You can test themes / plugins, everything. In that way you can see how your website will look without loosing money on it.

Also keep in mind that the tagDiv Composer is one of the MUST have plugins in order to benefit from full Newspaper Theme features. Without the tagDiv Composer up to date and active the Newspaper Theme will not work.

I hope this was more helpfull !

Thank you !

Hello,
Thank you for help me. But i’m not using mobile theme. Just responsive. I took a look at your demo and found that you used a picture for your background. How can I do that?

Good morning,

I just installed the theme “newspaper 9” bought in envato yesterday.

But i can not find the box in wordpres to insert the license code of my topic newspaper 9

I only have the welcome sections, plugins and support. The others are missing.

It is as if it were a demo theme, also the child theme does not appear.

What is the problem?

Thank you 🙂

Hi,

So the demo that you have install have a specific class that is overwrite the background color for footer from theme panel -> http://prntscr.com/oj94d3 if that class is removed the background color appear http://prntscr.com/oj94sx in order to do that you’ll need to add a custom css
http://prntscr.com/oj9a45
.td-footer-wrapper {
background-color: #211d1d!important;
}
.td-sub-footer-container {
background-color: #0d0d0d!important;
}

The code need to be set in Theme Panel >Custom code >Custom css

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Unfortunately the product pages and product category pages don’t have layout settings provided by the the theme. For example this is how a product page and a category page display in our live demo
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_tech/product/flying-ninja/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_tech/product-category/posters/
Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

I have inspected the grid on mobile, I see there is an issue with the modules width
http://prntscr.com/oj8f5c
Maybe you have modified the width for them in the composer, on mobile. You could check this, edit the page with the composer, select the mobile viewport, then check if there is a custom width set for the module image – http://prntscr.com/oj8h1u
It could be that there is a custom width set there, which affects the thumbs on mobile.

This type of grid won’t stack the modules, for the modules on the right (smaller ones) there will be a horizontal scroll. Some grids do indeed stack them on mobile, for example this one – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-9/

Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
