Hey,

I recently managed to find the right demo for my website and changed everything. I also recently found the voice report demo. I don’t like the demo itself but I really do like the way the social counter is displayed. However, it seems impossible for me to manage to display it on my theme.

Any way i can get the social counter used on the “Voice report” demo on my demo ?

Hello,

No, the theme should not reset activation in that process. The activation should be a 1 time deal. Please also disable all plugins before switching demos and then test to see if the activation is still reset. If it is, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin, a link to your site and ftp access so we can investigate

Thank you!

Thanks, Bogdan. I entered the code, and it works fine.

But is it OK that theme resets activation during demo unistall?

Hi,

Please access your menu section of WordPress and inspect each menu item. In the URL section you can add any url you want. By default depending on the demo used, these fields will have a # added to them. Remove the # and add your own custom link.

Thank you!

Hi there,
I’ve read in your forum that the “tagdiv gallery” shown as in the demo (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/) only is correctly displayed on posts.
I’m trying to have it displayed correctly in pages….
Can this be easily done? Any suggestions?
I suppose it’s just question of a custom CSS formatting, isn’t it?
Any ideas?
Thank you!

In my case:
PAGE (not displayed correctly): http://zeesl.com/demo/royaldeluxfinal/packages/roar/
POST (correctly displayed): http://zeesl.com/demo/royaldeluxfinal/luxury-yoga-retreat-experience-in-javea/

Hello,

This actually depends on how you created your content. If you edited the dummy data that came with the lifestyle magazine demo and used the demo content as your own, then it will get removed. Fortunately you can simply create copies of the pages as only the original pages will get removed, not the copy you make.

If you did not edit the dummy data, then you have nothing to worry about and can install another demo without issues as the content you create by adding new pages, new posts, etc. will not get removed when switching demos.

Thank you!

Hello again,

1) No I mean I installed the newsmagazine demo content and started editing it. On my homepage page edit section, on the right side I have two options (Pagebuilder+Page title), or (Pagebuilder, Latest posts and pagination)

I want to have the second option and edit the Latest posts visual appearance, or remove it totally, so I could edit all the homepage content area with your page builder.

2) I don’t want to use footer widgets, I meant, that I want to have two sidebar designs, so I can have different sidebars for different sections, but on my widgets page I have options (deafult, footer 1…footer3) So how can I have this option? Can I create an additional widget area, or what can I do?

3) Yes I see that, but I want to disable the date on my main page article feed blocks aswell. On my main page I see the date under every headline and feature image, but this option removes the date only when I open the post.

4) When I scroll down on my page, I get this more stories popup from the right, how can I edit, or disable it?

Thanks in advance

Hi!

I’ve installed one of the theme demos. Several days later I activated the theme (entered the purchase code).
After testing my website I decided to uninstall the demo. Now WordPress tells that I must activate the theme… again.

Is it OK? Why does theme reset activation?
What should I do? Enter the purchase code?

I currently have the Lifestyle Magazine demo installed and I’ve built a few pages and content that I don’t want to lose, but I want to switch to the Beauty Blog demo because I want to use all of the styling of that particular demo. If I install the Beauty Blog demo on top of my existing site will I lose all of the pages I have built?

Specifically, I’m concerned about my Grocery Guides page, each store page under that Grocery Guides section, the Shop content I’ve built, and my Recipes page.

Please investigate and let me know.

Thanks

Thank you for your reply. Please check the homepage I am working on: site

On the right hand side you will see white blocks Test 1 and Test 2. Test 1 is a column text with a shortcode for an optin form and Test 2 is a title with text with some text in it. I wanted white background on both, but once I set the background color to white the content of the blocks disappear (or get covered by the white color). The same happens if I use an image block.

I did the exact same thing with the block right below it (social counter) and it works fine. I am using the Architecture Blog demo. Am I doing something stupid?

Hi,

The Recipes demo has an example of a simple recipe format
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/td-post-frozen-blood-and-sand-cocktail/
That could be recreated in any post, if you wish so. It is simply HTML structure and corresponding CSS from the recipes demo. This is a similar topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-setting-up-post-with-demo-template-recpes/
You could create other designs, or modify this example as you like.
There are recipe plugins I believe, that you can use to create and style recipes.

Thanks

Hi,

That is happening because of a margin from the demo you are using, for the top row containing the slider. There are two ways how this can be fixed.
Either remove that margin in the demo stylesheet
https://www.screencast.com/t/F23w24Dteco
Or enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
https://www.screencast.com/t/QDGJd30Wz

.td-politics .td-slider-row {
margin-top: 0;
}

This modification will affect the desktop version as well. Before removing the code or adding the custom code
https://www.screencast.com/t/TXLmE6w2G3X
And after making the modification
https://www.screencast.com/t/2Zwc2ZI0jhpD
If you want the desktop version to remain the same, do not modify the demo stylesheet. Simply enter the code provided in the Theme panel->Advanced CSS in the phones section, so it will apply only on mobile devices.
Let me know if you have any further questions or need further help.

Thanks

Hello haychart,

Indeed, on your website, the featured image is upside down which is really strange! If you will check our demo, you will never see this strange behavior, sorry! Please keep in mind that the problem only comes from your website and settings. Check your plugin’s list and if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello albertok,

Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what do you mean? Please provide more details about what you want to achieve and also, you should provide some useful screenshots to show me what exactly you want to achieve. Make a photo from our demo and provide it here. Do you want the title for your blocks or what? Notice that if you want to write custom text on your website, you can use the Text with Title block, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4glB36tx

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi. How do you get your block 13 to look like this https://ibb.co/n5dujQ in the local news demo sidebar? After installing the demo (without demo content), mine looks like this https://ibb.co/dvQbW5. I want mine to look like the demo.

Can someone provide the code required to get Author boxes for multiple authors lined up as they are on this demo page?
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/author-box/

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

That is not a style that can be used for other icons, only the font icons that can be seen in the demo are created and available on demo installation. You can use Font awesome for menus which has an extensive collection of icons that can be used in the menu for example
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/

Thanks

Hello ipekg89,

Unfortunately, we know about this problem, it was added to our list of fixes and we will consider to fix it in near future updates, sorry! It seems to be a strange problem with the homepage of this demo. A quick solution would be to create a new page and copy/paste the shortcodes from the old homepage to the new homepage, save it and check the results. Should work as expected. Please try to follow the next steps -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xIt5MWAw

Thanks for your understanding!

Hey everybody!

Nice theme, thanks!

1) I want to use the “Big Grid Full 7” and “Big Grid Full 10” layouts like in the demo on my front page:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-7/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-10/

BUT: When I create my page with the Visual Composer and add the blocks “Big Grid Full 10” and “Big Grid Full 7” to my page, they are not filling the full width of my page. When I try to set row setting to “Row stretch: stretch row and content” it looks very weird and bigger than on the demo page.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I don’t think this would be the case. They are similar but nothing was or is violated. This Business demo is a demo of the Newspaper theme, and you can install and use it without any problems

Thanks

Hi,

Usually there should be a space up there because the theme has spacing between elements by default. You can see this on our demo here: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Please check your custom code or plugins that can alter the css. Or maybe a particular style added to that block in the sidebar. It is hard to say if I cannot inspect the element with the browser inspector.
Try to first check custom code, plugins and css added for the block.

Thanks.
