Hi,
The theme blocks and grids are designed to display posts and pages. A list can be created in text column or text with title element for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vyNhyqGlzBoZ
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/lists/
Place the text element in the location you want in the page, and create the list. More information about the tagDiv composer here. You can create playlists as well if that is relevant to what you want to do
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-2/
Thanks
Hi,
That is the Craft ideas demo that you have installed. This demo has some design and styling placed on the Read more button, most demos have unique custom design for theme elements.
This design for the Read more button could be removed directly in the demo stylesheet
– https://www.screencast.com/t/m4yOsatBG83W
That would cause the button to look like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jGKjA4OR5nP
Or I could give you a code to override the current styling with something like you mention. Something like this for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XX9nP2k833U
This is the code used in the example, if you choose to use it enter in in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
.td-craft-ideas .td-read-more a {
background-image: none;
color: black!important;
border: 1px solid black;
}
Please let me know if you would lie the button to be different, and I will provide you with a solution.
Thanks
Hi,
It all depends on the initial quality of the image used. The theme will only create specific thumbnail sizes cropping the images center-top. Here you can see the Big grid slide in the demo
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/
The image used in the bigger module is this thumbnail
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/01-girl-741×486.jpg
Created from this original image

Hi,
I’ve purchased and installed NewsMag.
I installed the demo content.
The demo posts work as it should.
While adding new posts, single post view shows 404 error not found. But the demo posts works. All the settings are same. The site is in my localhost. Unable to share any link for now. Please let me know if anyone has faced such an issue.
OK, I figured out that the original demo uses a text logo not an image logo and to do that I must use Header Style 10. I’ve made those changes but the text only flashes up on refresh then goes behind the image. Also the text is black (should be white) and it is not picking up the font details from the demo (wrong fonts, wrong sizes). So I understand more but I’m no nearer!
http://yourimage2.glidetest.com/
How do I upload screen shots?
But anyway I want the text size and vertical spacing of the slogan Define your image. Become yoruslef. to be like the main heading in the original fashion demo.
Thanks!
Theme would only have those pages there if
a) you’ve imported demo page content
b) you’re using translation plugin to build alternate page versions
Ideally clear all caching, remove all demo content, resave permalinks, clear all transients with wp-optimize; check you htaccess for old redirects — in case you have old redirects going someplace for stuff not actually there.
Force resave your sitemap; resubmit to Google etc.
Pages removed will stop getting pinged eventually. Hurts nothing to get some 404s for temporary pages. Nobody on the web should be linking to temp pages so zero issues for site other than getting temp errors like that.
Not sure that helps – but common issue when you have temp pages, then delete, then have redirects created for non existant pages to near matches; esp if the auto-redirect plugin links to pages you then delete also. Get a bad redirect ‘chain’ going there.
Food for thought.
Hi,
I have some issue with social counter.
It’s run with other G+ profiles (I verified this) but not with mine :(((
This is my profile: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+MarcoTrevisanEtereo3Vliberoarbitrio
I put +MarcoTrevisanEtereo3Vliberoarbitrio in the field but the follower is always zero.
This is the my demo site (under working): http://liberoarbitrio.estensewebfactory.it/
Do you have some hints for me?
Thanks
This is button not from the Theme.
Show this button on official demo version of the Theme: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Disable all untested plugins on your site and try again.
I am using NewsMag 4 and Fashion demo installed. On the demo home page the site title/logo “Fashion News” is large text with a lot of white space above and below, pushing the main menu bar down.
When I replace the logo with my own text logo at recommended 300 pixels wide it appears much smaller with minimal space above and below and the main menu bar moved way up. I’ve increased the size of the logo progressively up tp 1800 pixels but it’s still way too narrow and space closed up vertically. There seems to be some effect limiting the size.
Hello abi2113,
Please notice that all of your data is loaded into your database and you can use any demo you want because your data will be there. As a hint, you should import the demo without dummy data if you have your content and also, you should not edit the dummy content if you choose to import them because when you will disable the demo, all of your edited content will be lost.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
I have child blog demo installed on my site. How do i change “Read More” button style?
Now it’s like brush style, but I want it simple.
Thanks
Hi,
Changing the thumbnail size of the block modules would not be easy. Modules are designed to display the predefined thumbnails that assigned to them, and all the styling is based on that. Modifying the thumbnail will probably cause layout problems within the block.
If you decided on that thumbnail size, best you use blocks that use it
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-6/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/ (on one column)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-17/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-20/ (on one column)
Thanks
Hi,
I wanted to include that part as well, but you mentioned only the border/outline of the button. It should be like this for the black arrows
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0uamUmeeXjV
.td_block_related_posts .td-next-prev-wrap a {
border: 1px solid black;
color: black;
}
The related block header template depends on the global setting here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/roK19lE5
These are all the available block header templates
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-1/
For coloring there are no specific options just for this element. You can use something like this to color it as you like
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Xcdr71j9X
.td-related-title .td-cur-simple-item {
background-color: green!important;
color: blue!important;
}
.td-related-title {
border-color: red!important;
}
Thanks
Hello,
I want to use the Business layout on my existing blog which has 25k posts. I am not sure should i just install it or use page builder.
Regards
I just bought the Newspaper theme from themeforest and the Tagdiv Composer is a required plugin for the theme, so it automatically installed it when I activated the theme. Yet I have no license for the product, or so it says? When I tried downloading a demo with all files included I could use the plugin just fine. So I obviously have a license for it. Please help! the theme pretty much doesn’t work without the Composer plguins.
Hi,
It would be helpful if you could provide some examples of what exactly is happening with the block, if there is a problem. The theme width is fixed, and all the elements on the page are dependent on this width.
This is how block 7 looks in different row settings
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-7/
When editing the page with the composer rows in pages can be stretched, block 7 would look like this when the row is stretched
– https://www.screencast.com/t/f8sAX6kAy
More information about using the tagDiv composer here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Please let us know if you are still having problems, or have any other questions.
Thanks
I am a newbie. I installed the demo theme of Newspaper on WordPress. I haven’t even created or edited the homepage, no content was added. I realised that this theme was more suitable for my other website. So I uninstalled the theme from my current website. What’s the use if I bought the theme with a lot of enthusiasm and ended up using for 5-10 minutes. ??
Hi,
You could use smart lists in your posts for example
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/
On the live demo all the smart list styles can be seen (check the Features->Smart lists in the menu)
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
That would be one way of dividing the post and also add some style. Or you could use a simple pagination like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-with-pagination/
Thanks
Hello wsharkar,
If you got this message it seems that your website is not optimized, sorry!
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements

Thanks for your understanding!
Thanks again Simion,
the problem is really when there is no sidebar.
For example: http://zeesl.com/demo/royaldelux/packages/roar-2/

Hi,
I would like to add the category tag above or below the article’s title on the home page’s “Latest Articles” section.
I’m using the “Business” demo.
Can you help me, please, with that?
Thank you in advance.
Hi,
That is the Beauty blog demo that you are referring to. Please note that each demo has custom styling and design. This design is imported when the demo is installed.
You could change that color in the demo stylesheet, for all the elements where it is applied
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8NxrjuVy
Thanks
Hello,
Unfortunately that is a custom implementation made specifically for the voice report demo. If you want to replicate it on another demo, you will need the css code: https://www.screencast.com/t/l4I5hBeOXk and you need to create the element in the tagdiv composer and adjust it’s row settings and design options.
Thank you!
Thanks for your replies.
I’ve tried what you, Simion, said, and it worked partially.
For a page with sidebar (http://zeesl.com/demo/royaldelux/packages/relax/) it works pretty good.
However, in a full-width page (with no sidebar) it’s displayed correctly for >768px (laptops & tablets) but not working fine for mobile <768px.
Any further idea?
May I add some extra CSS styling for “@media (max-width: 767px)” CSS section ?
Thanks in advance!
Christian
