Thank you for your message. It’s clear to me,

but…

how come that on your DEMO there are two different colors of titles? See:

here the title is black:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/

And here the title is white:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-five-things-you-may-have-missed-over-the-weekend-from-the-world-of-business/

The question is: how using global color title settings (titles switched to black) color can be changed to white for post template 7,8?

Please, tell me how can I achieve it using Newspaper theme.

Hi Tagdiv-Team,

I am working on reducing the requests of external CSS. Already removed (after you guys showed me where to find the call for the CSS) the demo.css. Now I would like remove js_composer.min.css, as far as I understood the call/hook/enqueue is also in td_wp_booster_function.php. The plan is to copy the code of the css in another css, so that the css is there, but instead of 2 there will be 1 request …

After some search in the forum, I found this (coming as close as possible to what I want to do):
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/unneeded-js_composer_front-css/

But I deleted the code and the csss is still loaded by the theme. Any idea what I am missing here?

Regards,
Christian

Please, notice that in original demo (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_fashion/), the ad size (first one) is 1068px x 288px. I uploaded my new image with the same size, but site shows smaller…

Thanks for you undestanding!

Hello,
I´m sorry, but I did not understand.
I’ve just installed my site from Newspaper Fashion Blog Demo and just changed the image located in Adbox1. Nothing more. I uploaded the new image with the same size, and used the same code inserted in the original demo template. But the site shows the new image (in adbox1) smaller. Why?
I´m starting with WordPress and I couldn’t find settings that you sent me in the screenshot reply. I cleaned all caches from my browser, but the trouble persists.
Can you explain to a begginer in WordPress?

How can I switch off the “Global medicine” child theme? Maybe in Newspaper > Install Demos, and there uninstall? Could I later install it again? I do not want to have problems!
I had installed the full version …

Hi,

You can use any block available for your page – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/ with this layout
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
This is how it is recommended to create your page structure, please try and use a combination of blocks and layout that you think it is suited for your website, using the theme options.
If you would like to create your own block, you can do so using this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/practical-example-how-to-add-a-new-block-and-module/
Or you could modify an existing block through the child theme
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

Thanks

One more thing, I fucked up my main menu at http://www.myrecipes.ie
I don’t know how to create it the cool way that you guys have on the demo page, I would love to have categories shown in the menu this way: http://prntscr.com/ewc8tm
How do I do this, is there any documentation about this?

Currently I’m using the default setup from your index dummy page demo:
[vc_row][vc_column][metaslider id=103][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_15 custom_title="Popular recipes" td_ajax_filter_type="td_category_ids_filter"][td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1" spot_title="- Advertisement -"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class="td-recipes-deserts"][vc_column][td_block_15 custom_title="Deserts" header_color="#dd4949" sort="random_posts"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class="td-recipes-chicken"][vc_column][td_block_15 custom_title="Chicken & Beef" header_color="#3e8ebc" sort="random_posts"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_video_youtube playlist_title="VIDEO RECIPES" playlist_yt="aJdU-Y_4cig, 10zarkHqXRo, jOmD2tIvsJg, Fw5fBM2osSw, -JKtWOqARa4, tM5b0engFM0, m8WACcHLeeQ, uJsFkZBbn5w"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class="td-recipes-instagram"][vc_column][td_block_instagram instagram_id="twisted_food" instagram_images_per_row="4" instagram_number_of_rows="" custom_title=""][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Only thing I’ve added is the slider on the top of the page.
What I’m trying to do now it to replace those dummy demo blocks with real categories which I’ve created.

For example first dummy block is “Popular recipes”.
[td_block_15 custom_title="Popular recipes" td_ajax_filter_type="td_category_ids_filter"]
1) How does this work? It should really work depending on the number of views on each recipes article, does it work that way?
2) Also how would i exclude some categories from this block?

Next block is “Deserts”.
[td_block_15 custom_title="Deserts" header_color="#dd4949" sort="random_posts"]
The problem is it doesn’t really show the deserts category.
1) How do I set it up to show the desserts category with descending order of the newest posts?

Hello thefrontlinewire,

If the demo still won’t load, you need to check if you have the correct permissions on your upload folder. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the Cpanel, please contact your hosting provider. Another thing you can check with your host is to unlock the demo if there is some setting which blocks access to it.
If all of these will not do it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and request the manual installation and we will provide the XML file for the specific demo you want to import.

Thank you!

Hi,

The solution provided seems to be working properly. If you are reffering that the top menu items are not aligning properly on certain screen sizes, maybe you can try adding this to the code
https://www.screencast.com/t/41zSyfQWrUcx
https://www.screencast.com/t/efoOWGcvIq
https://www.screencast.com/t/oh5BkLuBSZCB
The code should be like this if you decide to use it

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full, .td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;;
}
.td_ul_login{
display:none!important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-menu, .menu-top-container{
width:100%!important;
}
#menu-td-demo-top-menu{
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
display: table;
text-align:center;
}}

Thanks

Hello sasquatters,

You can check our demo preview here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/ because there you will found all of them and there you can test how it looks on frontend.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

I have inspected your website but I see no error or problems with the thumbs. I have made a test using one of your images on the block you are using, and this is the result – https://www.screencast.com/t/EDYsbB6rq
It seems the thumb size used on the block is not suited for this kind of images, and where a center top cropping is applied. For example a circle cannot fit properly in a smaller rectangle, it gets cut off.
A solution would be to use a different block with different thumbs, like block 5 for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/fXWyBdaj
You can see all the available blocks here – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/

Thanks

Hello Lewis,

Please notice that our animals demo uses the block style 12 which uses the Read more button to link the entire post content. So, if you want to remove this, you should change the block from your backend or also, you should use a bit of CSS code to hide it. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS Area.

The code is ->

.td_block_12 .td-read-more{
display:none;
}

The result is here ->https://www.screencast.com/t/utbinQYAY

Regarding on category, tag, notice that you can hide them from Theme panel, according to your blocks/modules used by you, from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/SAoaTV89b2

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

I am new to wordpress and this theme but seems like it would be pretty straight forward but not so much .. Any common issues as to why I can not install the default demo?

I have this code:

if ($this->is_ie === false) {
// move style.css theme style
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('js_composer_front');
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('td-theme'); //this is the main style of the theme. It's only moved on Newspaper 6!
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('td-theme-woo'); //this is the main style of the theme. It's only moved on Newspaper 6!
}

is not the same of your example, there are not the “style_id” and also no td-theme-child (I have a child theme) and no td-theme-demo-style.
Anyway, I tried to just comment the lines but showed me an error, for this I deleted them, but the “flash” is still there.
Maybe td-theme-child?

Hello,

Sorry but there is no way of setting it like tat. Only a parallax template can do that. Please choose another post style to have the featured image exceed the content padding:
For example: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-if-you-only-knew-how-much-your-relative-churn-rate-matters/

Thank you!

Hi,

That is the pagination used in a smart list – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/whitewater-rafting-day-trip-new-york-east/ that are available by default for the posts. If you want you could create a smart list of your website and customize those buttons.

Thanks

Here are some Questions,

Is it possible to bring an Amazon- Itunes- and/or Playstore-Button in Area NR 1, so that someone who watches the video and read the lyrics, can click to “Buy that Song”

How i can rename number Area Nr. 2, and change the content to the category the post is in. So that if the post is in category “80s” there are post of that category, and if i change the category of the post the content will also change ?

Where can i rename and Change the Content of Area number 3

Hello,

Try to add this code in the theme panel-> custom css box:
