Each demo has it’s own unique style that is custom designed for that demo. Most of the times these elements cannot be replicated on another demo without customization. if you like the look of one demo, the proper way to go about it is to install the demo, not try to replicate it on another demo as most of the demo styles are custom made.

I’d like to use variety of quotes shortcodes for my post. But where is the shortcode reference that will go in the text editor to display the ones shown in demo :

In the text editor (Classic Mode), I only see video, smartlist and button shortcodes only.
How can I implement box quotes, pullquotes with left or right alignment ?

This happens because you have magazine demo installed and that is the default layout for that demo. Try to comment or delete the indicated code from demo_style.css then test the site again: http://screencast.com/t/mDdDZQ8YteCO

Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

If you already have your own content on the site I assume that won’t help to much if you also import our demo content. I think it will be easier to install a demo without content, so only the layout will be imported.

I have a pretty big site with 5500+ posts and when trying to migrate from a Studiopress.com theme to Newsmag the upper grid/module showing the latest featured stories doesn’t show up at all.
Since I am new to Tagdivs themes I can’t find where to control the upper grid/module.
I do find the page called “Home” but how to customize the page? Is this the place to control the upper grid/module?
Another question: should I install Newsmag with or without demo content? What is most helpful?

I have recently installed Newspaper 7 theme. I chose the magazine demo and i see that the first oage of my site has my posts but not my catefories. It has the categories names of the demo. In wgich section of theme panel do i change the grids of the first page layout?

We have just purchased the theme yesterday. We are using the latest WordPress.
But unfortunately after installing the demo, the site went blank. I checked the plugins and found out that VC plugin was causing the error. When I enable it, the site won’t load below the menu. When disabled, it loads the site with all the VC codes.
Can you help me out on this?

Please check if the images from our demo were imported in media library: http://screencast.com/t/oj278niaz9mp If the images are there try to use Force Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate the thumbs. If the images are not imported contact your host provider and ask him if there are any restrictions set on your server, also make sure that the parameters from system status have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

It works fine on our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/video-playlist/ and on our testing platform, so the issue is most likely on your end. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test the playlist again. If you still have trouble with it, please provide a link to your playlist so we can inspect it and provide more information to how you set it up.

First I would like to say thank you for uploading this great theme.
I hope you can help me. I choose for the travel guides and ideas theme. I use the demo with content. Now I see a image on the homepage (see http://www.littleapple.nl for the image). I search and by the index I can change the image (10, 11, 12 etc). Only on which place are these images hiding? Off course I see the images in the library but I know there must be a place where I can upload my own pictures to use. Please help.

best to start new topic unless that question is related to visual composer asking about activation.
See the theme docs right side of page….
read through the how to install theme, AND the plugins;
then see how to load demo “styles” to look like any of the demos.
You normally have to either use a pre-set style, or build your own layout for the home page how you want it.

I figured it out. What I couldn’t find in the documentation is that you have to set the row to be a 2/3 + 1/3 in addition to everything else above. I would recommend including that in the docs near the bit about setting the class to td-ss-row for those of us who did not install the demo content.

Is there any easily-workable way to achieve a narrower content width so that my background image ad wrap shows on most desktop screen sizes? I see this Newsmag demo (http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag_fashion/category/tagdiv-fashion-today/tagdiv-chicago-show/) has a content width of 1021px.

I’m using newspaper 7.4 and when I first instaled “Default Demo”, then thumbnails did not generated. Then I used Regenerate Thumbnails and still I can’t regenerate thumbnails. My upload folder has permission, I can upload images to there but thumbnails don’t work. Sorry my bad English.
