I have checked your screenshots and the social buttons and orange button from your top do not come from our theme but only come from some untested plugins which you are using on your side. Please notice that our theme does not have any problem with responsiveness, as you can see in our demo here -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please notice that exist a lot of plugins but not all of theme are working as properly with our theme. In future, if on your side appears something wrong, please try always to compare it with our demo and if on the demo looks good, please notice that the issue comes from your side and not from our theme.

I can see the issue on your site, but not on my end. In our demo the category is not specified in the permalink structure so I cannot give you an example from there but I tested this on my end. i could not find any issues with it. The permalink structure remains the same and the correct category is being grabbed both for the related articles and the next/prev posts. http://screencast.com/t/WTpTuYh6 – http://screencast.com/t/jWuqabiTadthe correct category is displayed and so is the case for the next prev posts. (latest version installed)
Please try to disable all plugins excepot visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files to rule out a plugin conflict. Also if you have a custom permalink structure, try to re-save them and check the result.
I;m not sure why you are getting this, but you can also test with a brand new category and a few posts added to it to see if the problem is still there.

Unfortunately, this error could come from a big number of problems. I believe it happens due to a server configuration which is not responding, it could be due to a delay or it could also be a temporary issue so you can try this a few times and if you still get this error please contact your host provider and let him know about this, ask them to unblock our demo in order to retrieve the theme data. It could also happen due to your wp install or other plugins might also cause this. Also, make sure that your permission for the upload folder is set correct. You can check this by trying to upload an image in the media library. If the process succeeds then the permission is okay. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the Cpanel, please contact your hosting provider.
Also, make sure you meet the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If you still cannot install the demo, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can take a look. Please also provide a link to this topic.

If you check our online demo with google pagespeed you will see there are no issues with it regarding responsiveness: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
The demo represents the ‘untouched’ version of the theme, a ‘clean version’ if you will. If there is a theme problem, then our demo should also have it.
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your site again and compare the results. Plugins can cause such issues when they come in conflict withe the theme or each other.

I saw, that in http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/ the sub-categories are listed in horizontal way. In The travel demo it is listed vertically.
How can I change that option?

We have made many tests in this concerns but we have not managed to find details on this and identify the cause for this and because of the many possibilities involved it’s very difficult to pin point the exact reason and in many situations this does not occur due to our demo server but becasue the request server configuration.

It only shows the image caption and description. So does the standard wp gallery. I’m not sure which one you use on your site, but there is no setting to make either one show the title. Please provide an example of the gallery you use on your site.

I hope you are well. Beautiful template, very happy with it so far. Decided to use one of the demos, however it seems to be missing the ‘Category top post’ style, even after applying it.
For example, mine currently will not change past three ‘featured’ defaults : My Site Featured Posts

My settings are as follows: My Settings, Global
I have attempted clearing my cache, and checking if this is meant to be done within Visual Composer.

I’m having the same issues that it looks like many others are having. I have two WP sites that I’m trying to get up and running for a client and I am using the Newspaper Theme for both. So I purchased two themes and the problem is that when I try to install the Demo that I want to install for each (Default for One and Sports News for the other), I cannot. However, I can install the Car Enthusiast Demo, so the problem cannot be on my end. I mean if one works for me shouldn’t they all work? Hosting is on GoDaddy. Both are brand new installs of WordPress. I substituted “CLIENT URL” for the client’s URL below and here’s the error that I get:

This is incredible that many, many people have exactly the same problem and the TAGDIV staff are giving nonsence replies. You reply with the link “https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/error-when-installing-demos-2/” has NOTHING to do with the ajax problem!
I bought this theme for the demo install (I could have bought others that wwere better but didnn’t have the auto populating feature). IT DOESN’T work. Can you please fix up your server side so that these demos load.
Here is my screen shots which shows the install demo hangs at about 30% and the message that it generates.

Thanks for your time, just one question to be sure. Right now I have some custom code in template and it is set up like in demo, so do I lose all of that custom code (analytics, share, adsense…) after update of the theme and do I need to “remake” this visual look as it looks now?

My Name is Charles Donaldson, and I purchased the ‘Newspaper’ Theme.on yesterday, April 29, 2016.
I’ve followed the ‘Step by Step’ Instructions for Installing via FTP, and I also
tried installing/Activating, the ‘Newspaper Theme along with the ‘BLueHost VPS Support Tech’,
help and Still, Cannot get the Theme Newspaper Demo installed/Activate, correctly.
Example Listing: (AJAX Error – Cant Connect to Server…. errors.

If I’m understanding this correctly, you want the ajax pagination to remember the position of the slide or load more button after you navigate to a post and hit the back button. Unfortunately this is no how the theme works. The ajax pagination does not change the URL so there is not way to get “back” to it. It;s a simple javascript widget that works on the current page, and not detected for navigation by browsers.
Please check our official demo to see how the pagination is supposed to work: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
if your results are different that means there truly is a problem,. but if this pagination issue is present on our official demo, then it means that this is the way the pagination was created and there is no easy way to change it.
let us know if your results are any different than the our demo and if they are please provide as many details as possible with screenshots and a link so we can inspect the behavior of your ajax pagination.
Also please make sure you test the pagination without any plugins (except visual composer) as conflicting plugins usually make the pagination not work as expected.
