Big grid 4 already has author name and date to it: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-4/ (module mx5)
Please check this option in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/mhSaWTrIs if it is set to off, author and date will not show in modules/blocks.
The grid you are using is ‘Big grid slide’ with a style 4 to it as the screenshot suggests. It uses the exact same module mx10. I have tested this again and it works for big grid slide as well: http://screencast.com/t/3bshNZ4saD
The small module in block 2 is module 6. It already has author in the code except it is commented. You can remove the comment and the author will be displayed.

On demo preview, in our theme-Newsmag it is shown a static page. As i can see in your website, your front page displays your latest posts (blog mode). For to look like demo preview, you must to activate a static page in WP and set your home page (for example NEWS), like that: http://screencast.com/t/2U2FAhQugEa .

Module 4 is NOT equal to Block 4, please check this here to make an idea how the modules are used to create blocks – http://screencast.com/t/eDt7siRcNWT Module 4 is used only for first article on block 1 or 17 – http://screencast.com/t/KjLmYN5o8Jr So there is not complete block designed by module 4.
To have the exact thumb size on block 4 you will need custom modifications and change this in td_config file – http://screencast.com/t/tVABsLJVyLUI Or add a new thumb size and use it only for module 2 – http://screencast.com/t/2dr7D8CC
My suggestion is to use block 5 or 6 if you need a larger thumb – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/

It seems your friend is seeing the visual composer version of the tabs element. The first image is the theme version (adjusted CSS to match the rest of the theme) This was added in the previous version of the theme (6.5).
You could try to clear the cache on your friend’s computer and update her browsers to the latest version. Please test our demo page on your friend’s computer http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/tabs/ If it displays the bad version it’s clearly something wrong on her end.
Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it ourselves though and see if there are no problems.

There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I’ve checked your site with PageSpeed Insights tool and noticed that you have a slow server response time and lots of css/js resources which also slow the page load: http://screencast.com/t/zbHS570RMiK
To improve your server response time you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load), also consider using a cache plugin and to improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html We also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. The travel homepage is custom, you can achieve this if you install the travel demo to check how the page is designed(there is a specific css, I have specified above about 2 extra-classes used on the rows). Also you can install the travel without content and add those 2 classes.

Hi, I’ve set different colours for the ‘CATEGORY TAG COLOR ON POST PAGE’ option, but this only changes the colour on the actual post page. On my homepage I have the category tags overlaying the thumbnail images for each new post (as on the Newspaper demo), but I want these colours to match the category tag colours that show on the post page.
I do not have the homepage blocks broken into categories, just one feed of latest posts, so I want the different coloured tags to be able to help visitors distinguish between categories quickly.
Is this possible?

We’ve been experimenting with the newer “big grid” elements. We devote the right 1/3 of our page to a advertising and have not been able to get any of the grids to respect the 2/3 + 1/3 allocation we’ve set for the row. The blocks and slider will stay in the 2/3 of the row we’ve set – but the grids won’t.
you can see what we’re talking about at http://www.mercerme.com/demo – there a big grid 6 is in the left 2/3 and block 2 in the right 1/3 of the row. Our current main page uses the slider that respects the 2/3 + 1/3 allocation http://www.mercerme.com.

Am using Newspaper6 theme with one of its demo on my portal https://www.takingwings.in & am running it on shared hosting.
Current Status is:
max_execution_time :30
WP Memory Limit : 40Mb
max_input_vars: 1000
Using Plugins like: Wordfence, W3TC, Sharify, etc.
My daily traffic is 7-8k.
My website gets down again & again because
1. The Entry processes gets reached to max. limit(40).
2. When i asked the Hosting guys for help, they told me that ur SQL Queries are getting killed & u need to optimize the My SQL, PHP Scripts.
Please help me how to optimize the theme. or any other solution to the above problem.

Hi – I am pretty new to WordPress, and I have probably an easy question for most of you.
I am starting with the Sports demo and just removing and adding things to build my site. I added a Header ad just above the news ticker, but I cannot figure out how to remove the large amount of extra white space above it, and below the menu. Hi guys,
My site size comes to around 3.3mb with 100 request compared to the sample demo, which comes to less than half at 1.4mb with 62 requests. I have added a few plugins (SEO and Social Media floating Icons) but have a similar layout to the travel demo.
Is there something I am doing wrong!?

We installed a standard Newspaper theme (demo content is Default) and everything seems to work on desktop.
On iOS 9 Safari though, everything breaks, and if I look on the console (through a USB connection), I see many CSS warnings (hundreds) and some JS errors. This causes the images not to load and perhaps more issues.
I would prefer to share the link privately with you – how can I do that?

Yes, it is possible to make your menu with columns. To achieve this it is necessary to create a page WP Custom Menu, element in Visual Composer and create your menu, then paste your page id and make it mega menu. For create a page, please follow the steps below:
