Well let me ask here maybe a different question maybe:
In my theme home page and in my posts, I have several areas (I guess it’s called blocks or flex blocks) where there are the images and the title for the articles on my websites. Each of these, by default, displays the image I have set in the features image. Is there a way for me to place an Instagram embed code instead of a regular simple image upload?

Hi,

In separate blocks, flex block is the option I use.

However on the category page, I need that to image for the articles in the category.

In other words, I want to change the images in the listing “Posts Loop”

How edit elements in the “Posts Loop” area?

Or is the solution to remove the “Posts Loop”and create the same with the one element flex block (defining filter by category, add pagination, …)?

Thank you!

Hi,

The best way it will be to use a flex block -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ on this you can select and adjust the image -> https://i.imgur.com/uxNW1mR.png

But when the new flex box appears, I also want an ad box to show with it. Is there a way to do that?

Hello !

We recommend you to use Flex Blocks for this: https://www.screencast.com/t/wf0tj04g3 ;

You can add more flex blocks and use the offset function and the preloading.

Hi,

You can see the module by editing the page with tagDiv Composer and click on flex -> https://i.imgur.com/otYcovY.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/AMK7b9c.jpg
Also there is no filed for flex blocks and flex grids in theme panel these can be edited with tagDiv Composer, these can take a general font if are set on default, or individual -> https://i.imgur.com/huCwtGk.jpg

Hi,

By default our theme will generate thumbs for modules inside the blocks and grids, in this way the image will adapt and look well on all elements and viewporst you are using.

If you are using mobile theme, then you’ll use only two thumbs -> https://imgur.com/vwVIXUg here the mobile grid will display the largest image and the other one is the block for the smallest one.

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Dear TagDiv Staff,

I wonder if there is a way to add the <link rel=”preload”> to the first featured image of my homepage that Google PageSpeed Insights identifies as the LCP Largest Contentful Paint.

I use the Big Grid Flex 10 with seven images, and the first one (the latest featured content by date) is identified as LCP.

Maybe there is a trick to let the first image be loaded with a preload? Maybe we can meet Google requirements in some way…

I remain available for any testing.
Best Regards,
Marco

I am spending too long trying to find out what modules are used in Flex Blocks. This page – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/ – gives the modules used in standard Blocks but doesn’t mention which modules are used in each of the 5 Flex Blocks. Nor do these pages on Flex Blocks – https://tagdiv.com/go-beyond-flexibility-new-flex-block/ & https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

I am trying to make a default font setting for Article Title for my Flex Blocks in Theme Panel/Theme Fonts/Font Settings, but there is no mention there of Flex Blocks.

Where, for example, does one make the default setting for Flex Block 3/Style/Module Fonts/Article Title 1 and Flex Block 3/Style/Module Fonts/Article Title 2?

The Article Title parameter seems to follow default font type, presume from Body – General Font but where are the other parameters in Theme Panel? If there are none, why offer default in Flex Block settings? At the least the documentation mentioned above needs to be updated, expanded, clarified.

Thanks
Mark Gilbert

Hi,

That effect is set by using a class in the theme body -> https://i.imgur.com/eX5F0uI.png
If you do not like that color, you can remove the extra class from flex blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/gfsHWKP.jpg or the class from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/Umuw7q0.png after that set your own color effect on flex blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/isPN1A6.png you can check more in our article from here -> https://tagdiv.com/blending-modes-newspaper-theme/

Also if you want you can use a custom css for all flex blocks that have the .td-background-blend class and change it like this -> https://i.imgur.com/iKRNU56.jpg
.td-fashion-pro .td-background-blend .td_module_wrap:hover .entry-thumb {
background-color: #d11a1a6b;
}

The color need to be transparent/opacity -> https://i.imgur.com/R4WsokU.png
The code need to be set in theme panel> custom code > custom css.

Hope this will help you!
Have a nice weekend!

Hi swapnilphadke02,

Let’s try one more time together, from homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/8pwP2S4.png go on footer -> and click on that flex block and check the style tab -> https://i.imgur.com/mE5WOiI.png -> https://i.imgur.com/N4S8Ixg.png if there is no color for the block you are using in style tab, then you should change it with a flex block to have the possibility to edit the colors.
Or you can use a custom css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/0QJDL4L.jpg

.td-footer-template-wrap h3>a{
    color: #cbcbcb;
}

The css need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.

Thank you!

Good morning all,

I am facing an image ratio problem that I cannot resolve. Let me explain:
I realize a photographer site and one of my problems is that I must in no case modify the framing of photos, that is to say that I must not cut or crop them. This concerns the images of the thumbnails of the categories and in fact of the image highlighted in the article. However, these images are not in 16: 9 (1280 * 1080) but in 1920 * 1280 (this is the size of photographers in general) and therefore with an image ratio of 3: 2.
In tagDiv Composer and by selecting the Post Loop 2 module, I cannot integrate this image ratio. It is systematically cut (see my screenshoot).
So my question is as follows: how to display an image with a ratio of 3: 2 in the Posts Loop 2 module? It’s a headache for me 😉
The Flex Block module is also affected by this problem.

Hello, the post ID filter in Flex Block element doesnt work. When I set different post IDs separated with commas, only shows the last post ID. Thank you

Hi,

Using flex block you’ll be able to adjust the layout per device -> https://i.imgur.com/yE5ihsn.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

Hope this will help you!

I removed all of the Big Grid elements from my home page and that removed them from the other pages as well. I then went back and added a single Flex Block 3 to my home page ensuring that it was set to be Content and that block then showed up on all of my other pages.

So right now I have to have a duplicate of my home page on every page of my site if I use this theme. That makes this theme useless to me as that is not how I want my site to function.

Hi,

This will adapt after the length of elements that are show (category, post title, author, date …).
In order to make them to look the same size, you’ll need to set an excerpt on title and post content like this -> https://i.imgur.com/o8UQm5B.png
Big Grid Flex Settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Also you can set the excerpt on words or letters from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/c7Q8ckX.png
Here is a similar topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/flex-block-1-and-same-blocks-height/

Thank you!

Calin

Hi,

Yes, you can display/hide the date but not for category, these settings need to be apply on modules (this is working only on flex elements ->https://i.imgur.com/1Hm64FA.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/bK9X6Q2.png), to achieve this on category you need to use a custom css.

Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you!

New try, “Flex Block 1”, change Image height (percent), Image width (0-100 percent), and many hide…
The result already meets the intended.
Is this the best solution?
