Hello @andxtagdiv!

The best choice is to use CPTs. In order to display the custom fields for those CPTs in your flex loop, you need to create a custom module: https://forum.tagdiv.com/edit-modules-flex-block-x/

Thank you!

We wish to have different coulours for the category tags on our home page (“Big Grid Flex 1” & “Flex Block 5”) Currently these are hard set within the blocks as you can see here
On the homepage the cateory colour is statically set within the block

However on the posts page these Category tags are infact linked to the category colour as you can see here:
Category colour on posts

How am I able to have this same effect on the homepage/in the tagdiv blocks?

If it simplifies things, from the image link you sent:

What I’d like to do is:
Menu ‘Fashion’ to only show fashion posts (by IDs) in the ‘Big Grid Flex’ – with fashion posts below it
Menu ‘Gadgets’ to only show gadget posts in the ‘Big Grid Flex’ – with gadget posts below it
Thanks
Andy
Likewise for News, Lifestyle and Video menus – and any sub-menus from them.

thanks. I’m using a ‘mega menu’ which came with the installation of tagDiv (although I’ve renamed it).

I’ll try with the Big Grid Flex as shown.
Is there an easier way to experiment – i.e. not on the live site? I’ve created a post specifically for testing – but it only shows the standard WordPress elements (see below)

Thanks for your support.

How do you recommend to create complex and many team members? In my case, I only need the loops, not individual team member profile posts. And this is not authors but many people in many teams.

I tried CPT/Custom taxonomies etc, but your Flex Loop does not seem to offer my custom fields, so there is no way to display them in a loop. Your docs seem to say that I should create this via your API, but that seems complex.

I feel that I am missing a simple solution for I would have thought is a simple challenge that many websites need.

What is your recommended route?

Hello,

Please let me know what menu you use. Main menu or mega menu?
For the mega menu, you can’t set what posts should be displayed, only categories.
For Big Grid Flex, you can set the Post’s ids -> https://i.imgur.com/RmH99vW.jpg

Thank you!

Is there a way to show specific ‘POST IDs’ for each menu/sub-menu?
I’d like the menus and sub menus to only show posts related to that menu. Alos – I’d like to ‘pin’ certain posts to the ‘BIG GRID FLEX’ at the top of the page. If I change the ‘POST ID’ or the category in the filters – then it applies across all the menus options.
Thanks

Since I have removed the dates on the site (which have post loop or flex modules) due to dates being incorrect, I created this page to display the issue. Please note dates prior to December 23, 2022 are not showing on the post loop, despite the date being correct on the actual post. The Flex3 module is not checked to show modified date so it should be showing original publish date.

Note this example – on the Golf Cart Santa in Huval Holiday post in the post loop shows December 23, 2022, but the actual post has the correct date of December 6, 2022.

Only date settings I see in the flex modules are for modified date. Modified date is not checked.

Hi,

Every new demo with CPTs has a plugin with the style of flex blocks, so you need to have it installed in order to have the custom style of flex blocks with CPTs and custom fields included. https://forum.tagdiv.com/edit-modules-flex-block-x/

Thank you!

Deactivated all non tagdiv plugins. Still having the issue with the posts loop and flex modules. Seems article dates prior to Dec 23, 2022 show December 23, 2022. Any new post since Dec 23 show the right date. The dates on the posts show the right dates.

On December 23, 2022 I did do a bulk edit on all posts to remove the ping/trackback from all posts. If this caused the issue, seems odd it would affect the dates on the posts loop and flex module but not the date on the actual post.

Hello @Razvan!

You can upload a section or a homepage from the Cloud Library of any demo. You need to edit the page with the TagDiv Composer, in order to use flex blocks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
It seems that you did not activate the Social Counter plugin, but you use it.

Thank you!

Hello, I am trying to build a homepage using flex blocks, but none work, I can’t understand why. Here is an URL: https://independentul.blralcons.ro/homepage-magazine-pro/

Hello GentlemanJack!

1. Make sure you did not apply any margins or paddings to the elements in the CSS tab. They should be equal by default.

2. This is a setting in the flex blocks, Layout tab: https://prnt.sc/Yt6S3dxcOZ4H for a post with reviews: https://forum.tagdiv.com/reviews-2/ Unfortunately, you cannot place it after the title or in another position in that flex block.

Thank you!

Hello,

For the posts loop, you can’t remove a category.
You can do it with Flex Block or Big Grid Flex.

Thank you!

Hello,

I just checked and saw that you added the Posts Loop block.
Also, I recommend using Flex Block/Big Grid Flex and set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png

Thank you!

Hello!

The default blog page can’t be customized with the TagDiv Composer. You need to create a new page called home, edit it with the TagDiv Composer and there you can add posts loop or flex blocks in order to display your posts.

Thank you!

Hello,

If you want to display on the flex loop, you can use this custom-made module -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_real_estate_pro/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/edit-modules-flex-block-x/.
Also, changing the code for those requires more knowledge, but you can contact the custom work team at https://tagdiv.com/web-development-services/ to help you.

Thank you!

Hello,

I saw that you have a Flex Block 1, which is not filtered correctly. To filter the block, you need to set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png.
But to display all the posts from that category, you must add a Posts Loop block.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can use Flex Loop or Flex Block X to display the modules with cpt.
You can find more details here

P.S. I also noted that If I put another flex block 2 in another Row… the issue is the same… -100px margin left
