Hello Anamaria,

Here is the page in question: https://www.dlweekly.net/guest. As you can see, there is no white background or formatting when asking for the password protected post. Once the correct password is entered, the page and design loads correctly.

I want to be able to modify the look of the password prompt. We are using the built in protected post feature within WordPress.

If you need anything else to try and get a solution, please let me know.

Thank you!

I am exactly facing same issue. First, using CPT UI plugin I created custom post type (Guest). Second, using ACF plugin created a field groups called ‘references’, which has only one field ‘Related Publications’. Third, created a rule, show this field group –> if post type–> is equal to –> post or (guest).
However, I was unable to find any ACF field that can be selected (suppose: ‘related publication’ in my case to edit either a post post or guest post.

Hi arb0na, we recommend the free version Author Box for Authors, Co-Authors, Multiple Authors and Guest Authors – Molongui -> https://i.imgur.com/ghTibMF.png
The author image on flex can not be displayed for all authors, for the moment will be display only one, but in the author page the image should be display.
If you want we can take a look at it.
Thank you!

Our site doesn’t need a login or register for guests

Hi pmarxbraun,
Using the mentioned plugin form that guide, the authors do not need to be authors, can be guests too, you can add them without making any account, just writhing a name -> https://i.imgur.com/Ngodeti.png -> https://i.imgur.com/FkM6gkz.png -> https://i.imgur.com/dqBPm04.png
Thank you!

To follow up. I noticed that it’s not just happening on Guest Authors. If I change the guest author in an article or the category in an article that meta information displays correctly on the specific article page but NOT on the homepage. I’m sending sample of what I mean.

https://www.screencast.com/t/8JMjOioPgDP

https://www.screencast.com/t/y9JyKOpq7

Earlier it was actually displaying MY gravatar photo (I am NOT the guest author) in that spot next to the author name but now showing no photo) on the homepage. It’s as if the homepage is clearing cache but I have cleared it on host side and browser side.

Hi

I don’t think is suits my use case because my Auteurs are not registered users on my site. They ‘re “invited” guests.
Thanks

Hi, I’m using the Guest Authors ability for my Newspaper site. But if I am logged in (not a guest author) and I assign an article to a guest author it displays their name and shows my avatar. When you click on the article it displays correctly. Please advise.

Learned from https://forum.tagdiv.com/adding-multiple-authors-articles/ and I tried using the co-author plus plugin to implement a multi-author post.

I installed the plugin and created a guest user but it is showing errors and not showing two author in the post meta. Check screenshot: https://prnt.sc/2191b17

I am using tech news demo and having the latest version of the theme.

Could you help?

Hi,

We are using the Molongui Authorship plugin for coauthors and guest authors. We had disabled the theme author box setting in Theme Panel > Post Settings > Post and Custom Post Types.

We now want to enable the theme author box again (and hide the author boxes coming from Molongui plugin). Whenever we enable it in the settings, and press the save button, we get a saved successfully indication, but when we go back to the settings page or refresh it, the toggle is disabled again. So the author box does not show up on the front end.

How do we resolve this?

Hi there…
I have a basic question:
How to create a subhead before the main headline for a section call “Guest Essay”, under my Opinion category.
Example here from the NYT. I just want to replicate the way the NYT features in this story as “Opinion” and then “Guest Essay” and then actual headline.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/04/opinion/graeber-wengrow-dawn-of-everything-history.html.

Can you guide me on how to achieve something like this using the tools that come to create posts, please?

Thanks much in advance. Best regards.

Hi Team,

We have used your suggested plugin to display multiple authors (Molongui Author Box, Guest Author & Co-AuthorCo-Authors Plus) plugin. But we have facing an issue with this. when we activate this plugin, sometimes we saw a blank author, display a different author.

– Thanks

Thank you for the responses.

What comment plugins will work with this? I do not want people to make accounts on my site because its not secure, and I also do not want to allow “guest” posts because it’ll just result in a tremendous amount of spam.

I normally use Disqus and if you’re saying your theme doesn’t support Disqus, I need an alternative.

Hello,
following your docs I set up Molongui authorship plugin to add guest authors to my website articles.

I also configured the theme to display Google ads into “Single Post Content” using the “Article inline ad” fields, those being set to display ads after 3, 9 and 15 paragraphs.

What happens is that – sometimes – the add appears inside my author’s box, usually between the author’s name and it’s bio, as you can see here:
https://ilportaledelcavallo.it/capannelle-charmant-de-zack-vince-il-94derby-italiano-del-trotto-a-crystal-pal-le-oaks/

How could I fix it?
Thank you in advance

Hi,

On my NewsPaper theme, when I reply to a comment, the comment goes down the list (creating a new thread) and doesn’t reply to the actual comment. This happens on guest commenting and not the admins. Is this a bug or a setting ?

Best,
Mike

Hi,
The ad box can be added with tagDiv Composer here is our guide that should help you -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
The article font size can be change from the theme panel as general -> https://i.imgur.com/nWWDaTb.png or individual per pages or cloud template elements with tagDiv Composer by selecting the element and checking the style tab -> https://i.imgur.com/aVDWKeT.png -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQvA64uTLkI
To set a different name you need to use a different user that need to publish that post or you can try some extra plugins for guest authors that can be set by the author.
Thank you!

Hi.
Automatic page loading stopped working for me. https://prnt.sc/1f6ezvo
Everything worked before. Now it’s just an eternal loading. https://prnt.sc/1f6glmc

It only works when I am logged in as an administrator. If a guest is reading a note, the download does not work

Hi, we followed instructions given here https://forum.tagdiv.com/adding-multiple-authors-articles/ to integrate the coauthors plugin using the child theme, because we need both multiple authors and guest authors feature. But this does not show the correct author when there is only one guest author selected. It works only when there are two or more authors selected.
