I’m still trying to paste the code in the file you suggested, even just this part of the one above:

//show the header ad spot
			if (!get_field('hide_ad')) {
				echo td_global_blocks::get_instance('td_ad_box')->render(array('spot_id' => 'header'));
			}

but or i get syntax error or simply nothing happens and ads keeps showing

Hi

To display a different header ad depending by category you need to edit the ads.php file and add a set of conditions like here: http://screencast.com/t/bFwpJ40a2D

if (is_category('New Look 2015')){
        echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]');
    }elseif (is_category('Street Fashion')){
        echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"]');
    }elseif (is_category('Style Hunter')){
        echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_3"]');
    }

You need to replace the current categories names with your names. This code will display different header ad on the category page. If you want the same implementation for posts you need to use this function: in_category(): https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/in_category

Thanks!

Hello,

You can change the post title color from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/UrPQT0OW
If you want to target just a specific post template you can do it with CSS:
.td-post-template-7 .td-post-header .entry-title{
color:red;
}

Thank you!

I’m probably missing it somewhere, but when I choose Single Post style 7, the only color that’s displayed for the header text is gray. Is there any way that I can change the font color to white as it’s displayed on the demo? I know I’m probably seeing the solution in the documentation but missing it.

Thank you.

Hi,

At the moment these are the only options for the mobile menu. In a future update we hope to implement a number of options for the mobile version. What you can do is make the top-menu appear above the main menu, but again it will need custom work to display properly. Not all options from the top menu will fit.
As an example:
http://screencast.com/t/PL9o8rRCN6N6
code:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block;}
.td-header-sp-top-menu{
display:block!important;
}

You can then hide elements you do not want with the ‘display:none’ property.

Thanks.

Local time - topic

Hello,

I am sure this is a silly question, but it’s driving me crazy. Hope you can help me 🙂

I want to show my readers the Italian local time (this is my site http://www.brasilnaitalia.net)

I know it’s possible to insert date and time on the top menu, but the problem is I can’t see the top menu from my iphone, for example. Besides, it’s a fixed time. If the user is on my site for 10 minutes, it will show always the same time, unless he refreshes the page (or i do so for him). I don’t like the refreshing idea because it would consume my server and I would probably have to upgrade.

So my question is: how can I insert a simple clock on the top menu or on the header ad space?
Can you help me?

I thank you in advance for your time and patience,

Barbara

Hi

You can add google analytics code in theme panel > analitycs: http://screencast.com/t/kI6PnFUUeHt If you want to insert the code in header edit the header.php file and paste the code here: http://screencast.com/t/9o5z92Pup6ap For the advertisement code you can use the available ads spots or you can edit the corresponding file for the post template used and paste the code after the content: http://screencast.com/t/Qc3b3cYLu9i

Thanks!

Hello,
Unfortunately there is no option to upload a second logo to the sticky menu. You will need custom modifications to do that.
You can on the other hand more easily style it with CSS:
As a suggestion, you can add a white background color to the logo and you can position it a bit lower and maybe add a rounded border to it if you like, something like: http://screencast.com/t/IVIePZFm

@media (min-width: 768px){
.td-header-wrap .td-affix .td-main-menu-logo img {
max-height: 48px !important;
background-color: white;
margin-top: 20%;
border: 1px solid white;
border-radius: 10px;
}}

Or another option is to edit your logo in photoshop (or other editing software) and add a white outline to the content so it will be visible on similar color backgrounds.

I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi @Aditya,

To solve your problem, please try the modification in header-style-11.php, like that:
http://screencast.com/t/6FUlkwGD2Fhn

If you want to adjust the space border below the banner ad, please try this custom CSS to fix it:

.td-header-style-11 .td-header-sp-logo {
padding-bottom: 20px;
}

Thanks.

Hi,

If you alter the logo css you will have to adjust also the header ad css, you can try this custom css I guess it should fix it if I understood we your issue – http://screencast.com/t/xOcKhWFc

@media (min-width: 1200px) {
.td-header-bg .td-a-rec-id-header {
left: 0 !important;
}
}

I see that you use a very old version of the theme and I suggest to upgrade to the latest version when you have time, as you could have some issues/conflicts with plugins that you use or theme’s plugins.

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no option to change the header style on a different viewport.

You can use this custom CSS to display the small logo on the mobile version of your site:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-style-10 .td-main-menu-logo {
display: block!important;}}

Now your logo should show up as expected.
Thank you.

Hi
Thanks @Cosmin Tataru for your answer!

@blandRepublic
, also you can try this code below within Theme panel->CUSTOM CSS area like that: http://screencast.com/t/VSn4x9zlB0I

.td-header-style-10 .td-logo-wrap-full {
margin-bottom: -40px;
}

The result can be seen here: http://screencast.com/t/3rD1tr8fyD

Logo issue - topic

Hello,

Sorry to bother.
I’m trying to achieve something simple but could not figure why it’s not working.

I would like to put this logo on PC : http://www.journaldufranc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/newF5.png
And this logo (gif) on Mobile : http://www.journaldufranc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Fmobile1.gif

I used the upload function via the Theme panel respectively for Desktop and Mobile menus. But it’s not working.
Then I noticed the logo was hidden behind the other logo (or the menu bar) on mobile, so I tried

.td-header-style-3 .td-header-sp-logo {
background-image: url(“http://www.journaldufranc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Fmobile1.gif”);
}
.td-header-style-3 .td-header-sp-logo img{
display:none;
}

But still not.

Could you tell me how to achieve this ?
Thanks for your assistance

you say to change colours do this :
In Newspaper > Theme Panel > Theme Color you have 4 area to manage colors for your website:
General theme colors – Set or change colors for Theme accent (hover, links, buttons, Ajax load animation color) and Background.

and all i get is :

THEME ACCENT COLOR
Select theme accent color
BACKGROUND COLOR
Select theme background color
HEADERS BACKGROUND COLOR
Select a global header background color
HEADERS TEXT COLOR
Select a global header text color

why cant i see buttons, links etc?

where exactly are the instructions for assigning a simple button – all i get is a little black square.
using this shortcode : [button color=”333″ size=”” type=”” target=”” link=”sadfsda.com”][/button]

Please go to the Custom CSS panel of your theme and add the following:

.td-header-style-10 .td-logo-wrap-full {
min-height: 85px;
line-height: 85px;
}

You can play with the numeric values to adjust the logo header height to you liking.

Hello, there is a easy way to add code in a specific part of the page?
I mean if i want to add google analytics code in the header?
Or i want to add a native advertising code at the end of the content?

I put this code to hide header in mobile version and display the menu bar first:
.td-header-sp-logo { display:none }
.td-banner-wrap-full { display:none }

La Casa de EL

The problem I have now is showing no logo on the menu until I’ve done scroll:
La Casa de EL

Any solution? Perhaps another option would be to show the Heading Style 5 in phones.

Can I add any new option only to the mobile menu?
La Casa de EL

Thanks

Hi,

I just purchased your theme. Thanks for including tons of functionality!

I have a problem though. There is way too much space between the header logo and header menu. I’ve tried a bunch of different things to try and remove this space but can’t figure it out at all. It has nothing to do with the logo render, which has very little space there.

Can you please tell me how to reduce the padding on this? I have tried disabling the social icons and the top bar but this makes no difference.

Also, even when active, the social icons in the header are not showing. I don’t understand why.

My site is http://www.blandrepublic.com

Thanks for any help.

Can I display a different header style on mobile versus desktop version?

Hi,

The code i provided removes the bottom border and changes the background color for the ad container.
The theme was not built to support big logos to cover the containers like that. The recommended logo dimensions are these: http://screencast.com/t/wRIpx7CxBGJV. In order to make the logo fit on mobile phone you can make a smaller logo and add it as a background image to the container in the mobile version.
You will need a bit of css knowledge to get it done.
As an example:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-style-10 .td-header-sp-logo {
background-image: url("your image url");
}
.td-header-style-10 .td-header-sp-logo img{
display:none
}}

It will need further customization to fit properly though

Thanks

Hi @byothe,

First custom CSS is for color of the boxes (“REVIEW OVERVIEW” & SUMMARY”): http://screencast.com/t/xHInUkfh645X
.td-review-header .block-title {
background-color: blue;
}
.td-review-summary .block-title {
background-color: red;
}

and the second custom CSS is for color of the review stars displayed in modules and block: http://screencast.com/t/pfRROghA

.td-icon-star, .td-icon-star-empty, .td-icon-star-half {
color:red;
}

Thanks.

Hello, I used this code but only put the white bars in grey bars. I like to fit the header to the top and the bottom in the mobile bar. Using a big size image or fitting the header.

Thanks
