Ok yes its fine now, thank you all for your responses.

The issue:
The sprite files aren’t in the patch you need to manually upload them

Solution:
1. download the entire theme again
2. copy the sprites folder from the theme under images
3. Upload them over the sprites folder under images within the Newspaper theme.

Thanks for your thoughts, Christopher. I think I don’t understand you correctly when you say:

we happen to prefer the search only be visible when tapped as this has become very much the norm (e.g., YouTube, Google, et al), as it puts a box where no box is needed unless asked for.

Could you please explain what you were trying to say with this? If you go to google.com and youtube.com, they both have visible search boxes… In fact, I’d really appreciate it if you could point me to a major site that has implemented search in this “two step” fashion. Major outlets such as CNN, HuffPost, and FoxNews all have search boxes located in their headers.

I feel like this feature would help Tagdiv sell more themes, as it seems pretty basic. I’ll still use the theme, but I’m sure you’d agree that it seems silly to force the user to click their mouse on an icon to show a search box if there’s already room to display the search box initially.

Using the built-in search function would take away the AJAX functionality that I love so much from TagDiv, so I will continue to use their implementation of search, but I was just adding in my two cents, which may be paltry when compared to your four cents 🙂

I explained it in my last post. Its two files in the last update in a folder with the name SPRITES. Just transfer them to the SPRITES folder in Newspaper theme via FTP

I have replace every single SPRITE file I could find, Could you be specific about exactly what should we replace (destination files) and with what? There seems to be plenty of us with the same problem and we couldn’t figure it out ourselves. Thank you for your input! I look forward to implementing a solution for this!

Update the Sprite files i Newspaper Theme folder via FTP. That worked for me… I had to take them over separately since they dont had been transferred when I did the whole update

I am facing the same problem after the update.

Still not working in incognito or with a cleared cache. Basically its showing half of a home looking icon and something else but both hard to make out. Please take a look at (android-advice(dot)com) to see what I mean.

Radu and Marius: The logo shows in the menu when scrolling on mobile if I choose “Header Style 1” (as in your demo).

It doesn’t work if I choose “Header style 3”, which is the one I’m using. This must be a bug?

However after i upgraded to 3.1 today it seems the addthis css file is back in header. Did you change anything? Have I done everything correctly?

It’s just the css from addthis that wont move now.

Now I realize i’m using a CDN but I’ve purged the cache multiple times so it shouldn’t be the problem.
