Here is my site: Athletics Illustrated https://athleticsillustrated.com/

Ads are not showing. Went to use a non-Google Adsense provider. They supplied header tags, ad snippet code, instructions. Everything seems to be done correctly. No ads are showing.

This is the Newspaper Child theme. V 9.0c on WP 5.6

Do any thoughts come to mind?

Thanks,

Chris

For a couple of hours I have been experiencing major problems on the Newspaper:
– the site no longer loads the header managed by Cloud Templates correctly and in the articles it releases me this error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach () in /home/XXXX.XX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_util.php on line 842

– On the other hand, the TagDivComposer no longer opens any page, not even an empty one, it remains waiting. From console I have this error:
js_files_for_wrapper.min.js? ver = c784b8db3e66cd68082f3ff7aa2d70e6: 13 Uncaught DOMException: Failed to execute ‘atob’ on ‘Window’: The string to be decoded is not correctly encoded.

I tried to insert the <IfModule mod_substitute.c> on htaccess
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>
but with poor results.

Has anyone been there? Do you know if it’s a hosting problem or a bug? I haven’t tried to reactivate a backup yet …

Hi,

I’ve noticed that this issue only impacts all pages EXCEPT the Home Page when I make the changes to Theme Colors for Mobile Menu and Search.

I’ve also noticed strange behavior on the Home Page vs. other pages. For example, the Header looks different on the Home Page (i.e. too much space between nav elements) vs. all the other pages.

I’ve tried clearing the cache and all other recommended methods, but the problem still persists.

Is there any way to add embed tags (analytics) to the head/footer to specific posts with Newspaper?

Hello !

Please make sure that you changed your header logo on all the viewports as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo And also make sure to refresh your page when changing the viewports in order to see the correct version.

Thank you !

You may activate the mobile at:

[theme panel] > [mobile theme] > [mobile settings]
> USE MOBILE THEME FOR > select “AMP” > save settings

(just to make sure you have activate toolbar at frontend)
then, go to [wordpress menu bar] > users > select and edit your user
at the “Toolbar” > make sure you select “Show Toolbar when viewing site”
at the “AMP Developer Tools” > make sure to enable “Enable AMP developer tools to surface validation errors when editing posts and viewing the site”

you may start editing the mobile page.

in this newspaper theme, editing the main page for desktop pc and mobile are 2 different designs

A quick review on creating the mobile. 2 ways to create mobile page:

==============
1st way:
==============
[wordpress admin menu bar] > [pages] > find your page (the home page) and select [edit with TD composer]
in short, edit the page with “TD composer”.

now you hav enter the TD composer editor, at the left panel where you can see “Welcome to tagDiv Composer”, at the top, you should be able to see either [create mobile page] or [edit mobile page].

there, you go, click on that button, you’ll start creating mobile version of the page.

==============
2nd way:
==============
while you have already log in, go to the page (in this case, the home page), at the top center toolbar, at the green button [edit with TagDiv composer], at right side, you will see the option to create or select the mobile page version.

for more information on this guide, you may refer to this tutorial guide:
https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

================================
Editing the header & footer
================================
You need to first import the template from the desktop page. Then only you can edit the header/footer (for mobile version).

The steps:

While you are editing the mobile page in tagDiv composer, click the [Manager] or [Website Manager]

then…

[header] > [convert template] > select the template header that is used by the normal page (desktop page)

then…

[footer] > [convert template] > select the template footer that is used by the normal page (footer page)

Then, the header, menu sidebar and footer are all unlocked for editing.

To edit the background image of sidebar menu:
> go to [theme panel] > background > mobile menu/search background > background image

Hi!

I tried with:

.td-header-menu-no-search .td-header-main-menu {
margin-top:5px;
}

and I got this:

webpage fail

How can I fix the gap? I also want to make the logo just a little bigger and center vertically the logo, and the menu and search icons.

Thank you!

I think you have activated the mobile page, the mobile page requires another separate editing.

Desktop page and mobile page, both template design works are separated. Therefore whatever you have done at the desktop page has no affect on the mobile page.

You can first try to read the info in this discussion:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-header-footer-not-working/
to have the idea of working with mobile page.

Then, simply edit the mobile page, import the header template, then you can start editing the header section (for mobile page) just like how you edit the header of desktop page.

Hello !

Please use this css code: .td-header-menu-no-search .td-header-main-menu {
margin-top:10px;
}

The code must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/GG01iMvRlig

Hello,

You can remove the effect with tagDiv Composer, in Header Main Menu-> General -> disable Drop menu items in More => https://www.screencast.com/t/atQU3lVxD.

Hope this helps you!

Thank you!

there is no “mobile page” of the “homepage”
Even if I remove the header & footer, it is showing a header and footer on a mobile device. It’s also only on the homepage. On desktop it looks good in editor view.

I also do not have any cache plugin active. I deleted cache and changed devices.

By default, right after you created the mobile page (fresh new creation), the header/footer is not editable in tagDiv composer.

Here is the workaround:

Then, the header and menu sidebar will be unlocked for editing.

Hi,

Recently, newspaper theme was updated to 13.9.1 and found out it isnt compatible with wordpress 5.6.

So I reverted the theme back to 13.9

And the following problems occurs.

1. Theme panel settings are gone -> footer, header, category settings and template settings.

Actually this wasn’t the first time this occurred. Wondering what i should do to fix and methods to prevent this from happening again. Thanks.

If you can edit the page with tagDiv composer, you actually editing header,body and footer at the same time. So go ahead to edit the page, and you’ll be able to change anything at the footer.

But however, if you have activate the mobile page, the mobile footer seems to be not able to be edited at the moment. Hope I’m wrong. I still searching for the section that allow me to edit the footer for mobile page.

Hey again,

The header 22 template you have in cloud library has a blurring – loading effect that makes the main menu appear a second after the loading of the page.

https://cloud.tagdiv.com/header-template-22-business/

How can we remove that effect?

Hello,

You can change only the general accent color from Theme Panel -> Theme Colors => https://www.screencast.com/t/GFjgGed6F, or headers background color => https://www.screencast.com/t/BrQgwbNbqUiR.
For individuals element, you can do that with Custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/2FGn3EjbK in Theme Panel-> Custom Code-> Custom CSS => https://www.screencast.com/t/7S0LOr0bhpJ. This is the code:

.td_block_related_posts .td-related-title .td-cur-simple-item{
background-color: red;
}
.single .td_block_template_1 .td-related-title {
border-color: red;
}

For hover color of the author’s box, you can do that with custom CSS, like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/DWjKYxq7FH2N, the custom code CSS you add like before.

.single .td_top_authors .td_mod_wrap:hover .td-authors-name a {
color: red;
}
.single .td_top_authors .td_mod_wrap:hover .td-author-post-count,
.single .td_top_authors .td_mod_wrap:hover .td-author-comments-count {
background-color: red;
}

Hope this helps you!

Thank you!
