Just for anyone else reading the thread. It seems like you if you use Yoast you need to deactivate and reactivate that plugin after adding the line in header.php, to make the page titles show up again.

I believe the fonts are set as lowercase in the theme panel font settings for those elements, you could check there. Start from the header menu and then work your way down in the settings – https://www.screencast.com/t/QXGypYBVivuS (https://prnt.sc/nxfl3y) if they are set to lowercase you can change them there as needed.
As far as I know the demo posts were all built with the classic editor. With the classic editor there will be styling options for dropcaps or quotes

Once you configure it as you want, set it as the global header template

Thank you so much for your quick reply! I actually succeeded in adding my custom code by dragging a ‘Safe PHP Code’ widget to a cloud template header. But adding the code directly to header-style-10.php worked so much better for speed and performance – so thanks!

I’m using a custom header. For some strange reason, my header looks different on the homepage vs an article or category page.

On the homepage the date, subhead and logo line-up correctly. However, on the other pages it no longer lines up in a single line.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
The header-style 4 problem has been fixed with the current theme upgrade.
Also, I created a custom header but how do I get the menu to stick. It seems like once you do not select sticky menu when intially creating a new menu there is no options to add sticky menu later.

Hello,
I would like my site to have a boxed layout. I added a background image, then, I tried a background color via the theme panel, but neither of those options activated the boxed mode.
I went into all of my pages to be certain none of them have stretched rows, and I also looked under Theme Panel>Template Settings>Force Full Width, and nothing is stretched there either. Neither my header nor footer are stretched, so I can’t figure out why my theme will not go into boxed mode. I hope you can help.

Yes indeed, this works with Newsmag theme itself, if I switch to it from my child theme. However, I don’t want to switch away from my child theme, because how otherwise can I customize category description, specific header/footer settings that aren’t covered by tagDiv plugin API?
I really wish your team could add more support for the child themes, or otherwise significantly expand the API, or perhaps at least add some hooks/filters for customizing minor sections of each page or template.
