I added the anchor ad in my webpage. Can you help about this?

I need to modify those template but i can do that using tdcomposer as it showing a blank screen with sidebar, cant able to add any element to that template. Please help me to sort it out. When log in to admin, getting error “Cannot modify header information…” after updating to Newspaper 9.7
I have been going back and forth via email with support, but the info they are sending is not remotely helpful as I’ve already done each of their suggestions.
In my staging area, the upgrade breaks my site. Strips out my logo and all of my content. When I go through the steps to update the plugins, for TagDiv Composer I’m getting both “unauthorized” and “does not have a valid header.” For the others, I’m getting a header error.
I’m really struggling with this update and from the threads here, it looks like I’m not alone. Please advise. Thanks.
Thanks Calin but I do have the header set as a global header in the Theme panel. I’ve tried setting is back to default then back to the cloud template but that doesn’t fix it. I’ve also tried setting the individual categories with the cloud template but even when they have a cloud template in the header page they still show the default?
Hello, I would like to create a different header for my blogs but the menu looks slightly different from the home page. The Font Awesome icons seem to be a bit larger than on the home page of the site. How can I adjust the cloud header template to match the default?

I have imported a header to create my own template. The header I imported is ‘Culture’ I have customised it (see enclosed).
I am having a problem with adding an element to it. I would like to add to right-justified of the logo area a banner ad that would be consistent with header banner ad. No matter how I try I cannot get the ad in there, it won’t let me add/drag anything else to that area.
How do I get around this?

Hello, I know it all, which does not change the fact that it works a bit hopelessly. Header and footer can only be edited more if I download the template (header, footer), but still many items are rigidly saved … Secondly, I still have a question. What do I have to change in order for the sidebar floating on the right side of my website to keep the background for the sidebar when I mouse down?
I’m really confused now, you walked me through a process to get a different header on a category. The theme has the ability to format category pages in the admin. So are you saying that i can create a header for a category page, but not the posts in that category?
I’m also having an issue with the logo. I can see my logo is set to the laval island logo in the admin, but when i look at the page https://www.westislandblog.com/category/laval/ on my mobile device, it is the west island (site wide) one. Even tho the layout is coming from the template (it’s layed out different than the site wide, so i can see it’s different on mobile)

If you are not using the child theme you can update your theme without problems, from newspaper v9.7 the child theme will support only the changes for style and function file and you can not longer use the child theme for all theme files like in previous version of theme.
But with the new features you can achieve using the header manger, tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud library everything or even more that you can make in child theme.

Please download again the Newspaper v9.7.1 from themeforest set your website in maintenance mode,delete the current theme from your website and install/update the one that you get from the themeforest.
Is possible that your current version of theme ( which is v9.7.1 to have some problems in theme files).

Did you make that modification in a child theme? After the 9.7 update this is not possible anymore. Now the child theme is limited to just a few files.
This is a consequence of the recent modifications to the location of theme files, due to Envato requirements. There is an article about it here – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
So now the header template files are in the composer – http://prntscr.com/ng7qe6 You could edit them there, but the modification will have to made again after each update. Files from plugins can’t be modified in a child theme.
An alternative to this is to use a cloud header template. For example set a cloud header template in general, in the theme panel. That will be used in the whole website. In the homepage use a different cloud header template that doesn’t contain an ad.
You can design a header as you want, even import one made by us (and modify it if needed)

In them you can add any element from the composer. You can set a general template that contains an ad, while in the homepage use one with no ad in it.

Yes ! I presume you mean the widget titles background. You can do that from Theme Panel by going to: Theme Colors -> General Theme Colors (First tab) -> Headers Background Color. I set the header of my theme and the single post using cloud library.
When I set the header of my site in cloud library mode, I am no longer able to modify my custom single post (with td composer).
When I open this with td composer I get this error: Errors at columns: 2 (models): 8 (dom). The model does not match the content. (but the frontend of whole site works perfectly).
If I set the default header (no cloud library) I am able to edit with td composer my custom single post again, without any problems.
I also noticed that, when I use the icon box in the cloud library header, the site is stuck on the post page.

I am absolutely newbie using newspaper theme, I just installed it.
I search in every section of the “theme panels” page, and in appearance, but I just can’t find where I can change the default header image ? You know, the one above the top menu ? I searched in documentation and tutorials, but it seems like it’s never mentioned or I just can’t find it.
Can anyone help me on that please ?

My Admin Panel and Login Page won’t load anymore. For another installation I get the errormessage that:

I installed Newspaper 9.7.1 running on a WordPress_MU 9.1 – i think. Although I can’t look it up since I don’t get back into the admin area.
Well, maybe envato’s terms have these requirements. But these requirements are absolutely opposite to what WordPress says for changes in theme files using a child theme. This is absurd in my opinion. Even so, you could create a function so we’re able to create overrides for the tagdiv composer plugin. There are plenty of plugins to offer that.
Edit: Reading more carefully in Envato’s requirements they don’t say anywhere to remove every override capability https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000480723#h_5966589781211522283728890. Unless I’m mistaken. They say:
If a child theme is provided with the theme, it must:
- Load the parent stylesheet using wp_enqueue_style() instead of @import.
- Consist of style.css, functions.php and screenshot.png files at a minimum.
- Append “Child” to the theme name so it can be identified as a child theme.
- Include files within the child theme directory using get_stylesheet_directory().
- Reference the parent theme via Template: parameter in the style.css header
- The child theme will be held to the same standards and best practices as the parent theme. For more information on Child Theme development, refer to WordPress Codex article.
