I’ve had an issue on either the header background image or footer background image that when I upload my own picture to it, it becomes very compressed going from 1068 x 712 -> 300 x 200. However, when I loaded the demo theme I’m using the background image was perfect and then when I replaced it, did it only become compressed, when I tried to change back to the original image then it was super compressed looking. If anyone could help it’d be much appreciated!

I’ve placed adsense ad code on header placement sidebar, top of the article and inline ad code. But it’s been 3-4 days since I put these adsense ad code but still ad isn’t showing over my site.
I asked several peoples about this and all says this may be cause of theme.

Improving my answer:
In my humble opinion Newspaper could have two options font selection:
The first:
– a font family for site title;
– a font family for site description (tagline);
– a font family for headers;
– and finally a font family for texts in general (paragraphs, etc).
The second:
Offer granular options, as it currently is.

Almost it. I would like to test different font families and sizes before make the definitive change in Theme Panel.
I miss an option to simply setup two theme fonts: one for headers and another for texts (paragraphs, etc).

Thank you for assisting, the code for header menu works for me, and is a good fix for them for time being. As I said, I know it’s sorta a plugin thing but trying to keep things familiar for them. Thanks for help.
I am using dfp code in one of the sidebars and using Adrotate to insert the code in the sidebar widget which is working fine.
But I have now set up the same procedure to add the code in header ad of theme panel but the ad is not showing up.
Please help me in this regard.
Previously I had had the same issue running sidebar ad as well when I directly put the dfp code in the sidebar, it was not working but when I used Adrotate to insert the code it worked.
Now the problem is with the header, please sort it out, there should be some sort of code which could be placed in header ad php files to overwrite theme settings so the Adrotate settings can work, I am not technical though, just an idea

I’m working on a php file that manipulates my blog posts in some way.
What I need here is to include the menu with the header into that file.
You can help me by telling me what calls should I do (css,js,php) to make it work.
I want to avoid the wp_head call, because it will load all the theme files even if i don’t need them all to be loaded. I want to load only the files related to the mega menu.

Two options I am looking for are either 1) expand max size of header so that slider doesn’t go under menu and down into content. 2) header to somehow fit slider in a responsive way.
I don’t have a screen shot of it, but when I tried putting slider in tagdiv it popped up perfect for 1 second but then shrinks down to a very small image, slider still working though.
I’m working on a dev site, building of clone of existing site and trying to keep as much of their plugins and systems in place as to not rock the boat for them too much on transition. They use simple metaslider in header ad area on old site, in this template if I put it between div tags it pops properly for a second then gets super tiny, if I don’t use div tag then it’s super large. Suggestions on getting it to fit properly would be great. That code looks like the code required to be entered in the theme header.php file between the head tags in order to enable auto ads

I could be wrong however. In that case you could try a few things. What if you try to switch the ad codes, place one that works at the moment in the top ad location. Place the one that doesn’t work in a location where ads are displayed.
Also you could try as a quick test to paste one of the ad codes which at the moment does not appear, in a test page – enter it in a column text for example.
Check what happens and mention the results. If the same code works in a different location it could be a problem we will investigate further.

The border values in the code can be modified, the first value is the border height, the second is the type and the last one is the color.

Categories can be created the WordPress way, parent categories and child categories (or main categories and sub-categories). The theme will not interfere with creating categories as you want. Create them as needed.
Displaying posts from them in pages will not be a problem, our blocks, grids etc have many filtering settings

For the header section there will be 2 menus, a top menu and a main menu. In the top menu you can add menu items normally, you can create drop-down menus there.
In the main menu you can do all that and for example mega-menus

I’ve created 4 cloud templates for 4 types of news articles on my site. Each of the following has its own template:
* Property
* Business
* Lifestyle/Fashion
* Viral/ Entertainment
All the other news pages (local, regional… etc) are just using the default theme template.
Within the custom cloud templates using tagdiv composer, I’ve placed up to three google adsense ads by copying and pasting the ad code into the correct place within ‘post content’. I’ve also given each ad a title so I can see where it should be within the code. If you check out this item (https://wmw-dev.co.uk/britney-spears-former-palatial-pad-on-the-market-again/) you can see the titles but not the ads. Ads are appearing all the other places they should be – side bar, headers etc and even within the custom themes where I’ve added them outside of the post content – e.g., the row of 3 blocks at the bottom of the link I’ve given. It seems to be top / inline / bottom within ‘Post content’ that aren’t appearing.
I’d appreciate any advice you can give and am happy to supply logins if required.

I figured out the reason for the 600+ queries. I have another site using the same theme and it is getting under 200 queries per post page with a pretty custom design.
It ended up being the mega menu. I have many sections and categories, the theme was preloading all the items in the menus which was probably close to 400 posts combined. That put a huge strain on mysql which used up all of our CPUs.
Disabling preloading of the mega menu solved it:
1. Go to ThemePanel
2. Header -> Main Menu
3. Make sure under “Mega Menu Preloader” it is set to the default “No Preloading” option. Mine was set to “Optimized Preloading”
I’m still sitting at 285 queries for the homepage. Much better than the 600+ it was at earlier so the website and the admin area isn’t painfully slow anymore. If anybody can let me know what I can do to further decrease the amount of queries that would be appreciated.

I just spent $61 on a theme that requires programming capabilities. I am a simple user that wants a theme that is PnP…this is the error message I got when installing this theme:
Oh, and I had to upload it via c-Panel and unzip it there.

The following themes are installed but incomplete.
Name Description
Newspaper Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.
