Hello,
I wonder how to achieve combining a full width header (currently style 2 – top menus) with a fixed background image advertisment [I would also like to keep the full width footer]. When I set the background image from the panel, the header immediately loses its full-width.
Can you help me?
Thanks
Yes, you need to fix your content.
You cannot use any inline HTML,
for example
<p align="center">
needs to be
<p class="mycenterclass">
<table width="500">
needs to be
<table class="mywidth500">
etc.
Plugins which inject code into the AMP header need to be changed; or not used; and some things cloudflare may break the /amp/ endpoint CSS. Check the support forum for the AMP plugin to learn more on any issues you might have.
Hi,
I’ve just bought the theme and am struggling to get the logo to appear correctly.
I’m using header style 10. My logo upload size is 500×148 (this is how it appears in the media gallery). However, the site displays the logo with the edges cropped off. When I save the logo as displayed on the front-end of the site, the resulting file is also cropped with a resolution of 300×148.
I’ve tried:
.td-main-logo img {
width: 500px;
height: 148px;
}
But this only stretches the 300px wide image to 500px wide.
Please could you let me know how to solve this issue and have the logo appear at its uploaded size?
Many thanks
i Want to remove search icon from my menu navigation and i want to put it in top header. how can i do this.
Hi!
I have been trying to figure out why the headers on the sidebar disappear, but can’t quite figure it out.
They appear when the page first loads, but disappear as the fonts for the page load up. I’ve tried adjusting the settings to the theme fonts but that doesn’t work.
However, I think it’s a css clash for the .block-title:
Using the inspect element I can see that the .block-title is defaulting to a background colour of #fff – disabling this brings back the colour but not the line.
Welcome any help to get this sorted. Thank you.

HI
Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/YYLaJlurmYE
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo, .td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-recs {
margin: 10px 0px 9px 28px!important;
}
Thanks!
I’m actually not using the speed booster plugin anymore myself; I’m now doing this
Switch from VC to TD Composer beta, and:
a) Scripts to Footer plugin
b) generate and insert critical CSS in header.php
c) de-enqueue main style.css in functions.php
d) manually add link to minified style.css in footer.php
In my case this works very well; especially with fast server, all other optimizations, and with mod_pagspeed running very quick (it’s off right now as bug in last release for our server, waiting for next stable version any day now …)
I will do a tutorial on this at some point …

Hi Bogdan,
I appreciate your quick response to my inquiry. I tried using header style 1 as you suggested prior to posting my initial post. That is pretty close to the format that I want. However, when I paste AdSense script into the header ad position in the theme panel the ad appears to the right of the logo but it is not inline with the logo. It gets stuck to the top of the area and is sometimes cut off.
I have tried adding padding and boarder in a div around the script but it won’t budge. Right now we changed some code for style 10 and put the logo and ad box into a table which is perfect except for it’s not a responsive fix and looks bad on mobile devices and tablets.
Can you help me with why the ad is not inline with the logo and why it is stuck to the top of the area and sometimes even cut off under the top menu bar? I’ve changed it back to style 1 so you can see what I mean.

Hey!
I’ll post updated version once I finish the tweak of doom! Have been messing with the new TD Composer beta, so got sidetracked, as I wanted to leave VC behind entirely from “now” onward.
I will actually update and add the #comments on what couple of the things actually do. And I’ll include my AMP footer injection code, too!
Actually the trick with the stupid render blocking thing is three step
a) generate ‘critical CSS’ for your post page; insert this into the header.php right before </head>
b) in functions.php – “de-enqueue” the main style.css from being generated and placed in the head.
c) put link to the main style.css file in the footer.php file.
d) if you don’t want to use functions.php to move the other .js stuff; use the “Scripts to Footer” WP plugin.
THAT is the super secret way we do it for my SEO service here (not a sales pitch). What this does is load the important CSS “above the fold” inline, then page loads on mobile (and I have 98 MPS score to prove it; the last gotcha is the CSS for stupid ‘tap targets’ — ugh) without waiting for anything, then main CSS loaded at end.
This simply works. If you have weirdo plugins injecting css and js in the head, you’ll have to de-enqueue them and move to footer.php manually. But the speed rating improvement is insane as there is literally *no* “render blocking” of any kind for Google on mobile or desktop. Period.
I was writing an ebook on all of this but personal life intruded so that didn’t happen.

Hi Andrei,
Thanks for the quick response. I installed a clear cache plugin for our word press but that did not do the trick. I am a little backend challenged so would be great to have a little assist. Our blog is http://www.blog.madisonlogic.com and the issue is only happening on the mobile version of the site. It populates the phrase “Activate Intent” under the header section, but what we are trying to have it say is “The Global Leader in Account Based Marketing”. Thanks so much!
Hello ebK,
Please notice that all the changes have to be made in the header.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/A95TatJ9yFq9
Thanks.
Hi,
I have imported the “NotGeneric1” template from rev slider and have placed the embed code on the first row in visual composer on home page which is fine..
However i like to know how can i do it so it is behind the logo, main menu and top menu.. So that they all are transparent and on top of the slider..
Current site is http://www.ararat.org.au/ver2/
I am using the STYLE 10 for header Style in Newspaper Theme
I also want to make a question: is it possible to edit the category of slides shown (top grid 3) in the mobile theme? Because the filter for featured posts doesn’t work… I’m disabling the mobile theme plugin to prevent users reports.
P.S: There’s also a minor issue with the social counter’s widget, the header color doesn’t work.

Had the same issue.
The reason is this:
PHP Warning: get_headers(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0
Using allow_url_fopen=1 is a security risk, so all functions requiring this should be changed to use cURL instead.

HI
1. You’re using V 7.1.1 of Newspaper theme and the option I’ve indicated it’s available only since 7.3 Try to update the theme following our documetation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ then test again.
3. Try this css in theme panel > custom cod > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/kj2MrhQ0T
.td-header-style-2 .td-header-sp-logo{
margin: 24px 0px 0 0px;
}
.td-header-style-2 .td-header-sp-logo img{
margin-left: 0;
margin-right: 0;
width: 300px;
}
5. Try this css: http://screencast.com/t/dIQSRWDpJH8n
a{
text-decoration: underline;
}
6. I can’t find the rss widget on your site, please provide a link pointing the page where I can see the widget and maybe I can help.
Thanks!
Hi Josh,
As I see it, header style 1 is best suited for you. You can simply change the colors from the theme panel and have it the way you want: blue top menu, logo on left adsense on the right of the logo and black menu below the logo and ad…like so: http://screencast.com/t/rwlnDnoQTLQc
There is no custom code needed for this.
Thank you!
Hello,
Since last 4-5 days , I am working on Newspaper theme for day and night and have done many modifications. But there are few parts of various demos that I do not know to imply. Since I am the creative unique layout for my home page so I don’t’ really want to import the full demo settings from any particular demo types.
Though for learning purpose I do have options to take the backup of my current homepage using “Visual editor classic mode” and then install any demo I want to use. But the real problem is- Installing new demo layout not only changed the Homepage layouts but it also changes various other settings like theme color, header , fonts etc.
I have already worked hours for other settings and hence I don’t want to loose any other settings. So, I want only “Classic mode codes” from all our demo layout styles. or If there is any other way to get the “classic mode” layouts for homepage like using google chrome “view page source options etc.
If it’s not possible to provide classic mode codes for all themes , please give me the codes for “http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blog_travel/ ” because I love the first front page slider on this page and I want to use it.
or if you can suggest any other method to achieve what I want to achieve, please let me know.
Thank you.
Hi
Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/ZHyv8BPly
.td-header-sp-rec .td-header-ad-wrap {
height: 255px;
}
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
My website is ballplayerplus.com, I use the newspaper theme. I am running the membership software paidmembershippro.com. Unfortunetly, I want to have a separate menu for the members. Since the theme only has three menus which I need for the header, main menu, and footer, how can I fix this?
Thanks,
Carlton Mukasa-Clark
Hi, I’ve changed my website header ad size to 970×250 but it’s not displaying properly. it runs into the menu even though I have defined the sizing for the header ad. Please help!
http://pokemongoden.com/ is the URL in question
Hi,
Can you explain how I can get an Adsense Ad to appear in the header to the right of the Logo? This would be in a format like header style 1 – default with the blue menu bar at the top of the header and the black menu bar on the bottom of the header.
I got some help from my brother that does some coding to get the ad to appear there but it is stuck to the top or even cut off by the blue menu bar. So I’m looking for a solution from you guys since you should understand the mechanics of the theme better than my brother.
Best,
Josh
Alternatively, can the entire header bar be made ‘static’ so that it doesn’t scroll at all on mobile? Sorry for the questions – Thanks
Hi there,
I currently have http://southendnewsnetwork.com, and I really need to get rid of the magnifying glass in the floating header as I have an interstitial ad plugin ready to go and for some reason it is interfering with it.
Can the magnifying glass be removed and the header logo made ‘unclickable’?
Thanks 🙂
HI
Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css to add a background image in this section: http://screencast.com/t/idc1ghnT
.category-style .td-category-header{
background-image: url("http://www.irreverentgent.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/How-to-Look-Confident-banner.jpg");
}
That code will work only for style category page. If you want to add an image for each category just change the first selector like this:
.category-"cat-name" .td-category-header{
background-image: url("new bg-image");
}
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
Hi,
You will need custom modifications for this as the mobile logo was designed to appear on the mobile header between the menu and search icon.
I will provide a css for you can start customize this, but you will need some additional changes for you specific case. Try this custom css in Theme Panel > Mobile Theme > Custom Css – http://screencast.com/t/bmIzvSCmeG
.td-main-menu-logo img {
float: none;
display: table;
margin: 0 auto;
top: -60px;
}
.td-header-wrap {
margin-top: 60px
}
.td-main-menu-logo {
float: none;
}
It worked on my side but you will need to adjust for your specific case. If you don’t have experience I’ll suggest to get someone to help you as we don’t provide custom services.
Thanks!
