You should make a new category where you should add your desired posts and then, this block has to be sorted by this category in a random way. It’s simple!
For your second request, the theme does not have any such an option for it. You need to check the theme’s core files where the header is called and with a condition, you can exclude the header ad. To check if you are on homepage, you should use the following rules from here -> https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_home/

Yes Calin i did. I can”t even install the TagDiv composer. After i install it all my website goes bliank! i have to go to cpanel file manager to delete the td-composer folder. (adica imediat dupa ce instalez td composer imi dispare totul de pe site – Nu mai arata nimic, am incercat sa si dezinstalez pe rand celelalte plugin-uri, tot asa face. Nu stiu ce mai pot face, arata super urat dupa upgrade la 9 … imi apar linii de cod pe homepage)

I’m trying to set up the video playlist tool on my site homepage (http://www.thevillaexclusive.com). I’ve added the element to the page and provided the playlist ID, but it doesn’t seem to want to pull through the videos. I have tested this with several playlist IDs, but none appear to be working. Any help is much appreciated.

The homepage is not set in your case, so it will be the default WordPress blog page (latest articles list).

Only one demo can be installed at a time, so installing the fast news demo will automatically uninstall the default demo.
The process will import the demo theme panel settings overriding the current settings, also it will import the custom demo design like the header customization you mention

If you only want the same header as the fast news, let me know. I will provide you the header customization the demo uses. Let me know what you want to do exactly.
The homepage of the demo is imported only when the demo is installed with content.

i have a problem with the main site. Here is the issue.
When I got to my webside http://www.offroadcracks.com there will be a nice clear site with several content in block design.
When I go to “HOME” I have a different version with much more categories – which should be the normal starting site, right?
That won’t work – what is my mistake? Becaue I want to verify my homepage and google can’t find the code on the starting site. I think because of this problem above…

I have uploaded the logo via the Theme Panel and it’s not “taking”.
Please see the short clip showing what happens when I refresh the homepage. I am using the theme’s demo homepage (editing it), I don’t plan on uninstalling it. Not quite sure why it’s not working properly when editing it directly in the theme panel.

I just noticed the new Google demands and webp is their big push.
When I used any webp images on Newspaper, I noticed they don’t show up in Featured section section on homepage, but they show up in article.
I using default theme demo for my web site. With new update of Newspaper theme i found new demo which I wanna put on homepage… it’s Fast news.
I create new page and working on new look, but for now still on homepage using default theme.
The question is, what will be with my homepage (which is using Newspaper default theme) if I install new demo page (Fast news)

In order to display ads inside the post loop (I believe that is what you wanted) you will have to modify the loop.php file from the theme

In that example the code will output the ad inserted in the custom ad 1 ad spot of the theme panel, in category pages.

So you deleted the page permanently? WordPress provides multiple steps just to ensure that pages are not deleted for good. First they will be moved to the trash section and only from there one can delete them permanently

Maybe it is in the trash section, you could check there and restore it. Then set it again as homepage in the WordPress settings

I might give you few answers until tagDiv support reply.
You cant use tagDiv Composer and WPBakery Page Builder at the same time. It breaks pages layout. On other hand, tagDiv claims that pages made in WPBakery Page Builder should (but they arent 100% sure so they dont claim full compatibility) should work fine in tagDiv composer and I tested that, they do work for me. At least homepage (havent tested all pages on my web sites)
You cant deactivate WPBakery Page Builder without activating tagDiv composer since its essential to building your page. I mean you can deactivate, but your page will not render and you have to activate eather WPBakery Page Builder or tagDiv composer. I just deactivated WPBakery Page Builder on one of my web pages to grab a screen shoot for you http://prntscr.com/lrr2g5
I dont know how long they will keep supporting WPBakery Page Builder but I presume they will continue to do it for long time since there is a lot of people that dont want to switch. But how long they will continue to update it, I dont know. So far Im not satisfied how often they update it https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/why-you-arent-updatind-wpbakery-page-builder-with-new-version-on-your-theme/# but you should be fine even if you dont update it at all if there is no major bugs found in WPBakery Page Builder
tagDiv composer have much more options than WPBakery Page Builder so switching to it will give you chance to set some stuff that you previously had to use custom CSS, etc. But for me tagDiv Composer is not user friendly at all and is hard to find options, etc and I just dont like to build pages in it. And I have to add that in my test, I havent seen any difference in site speed if I built it in one or other builder but I have pretty fast hosting

After updating to WP 5.0, the “homepage latest articles” block no longer displays when I go to edit my Home page. I have all three “Advanced Panels” selected, but Custom Fields and Page Template Settings are the only menus that display.

I was hacked; I fixed the problem but in the process, the site got broken. In this way, links besides the homepage’s became inaccessible, displaying 404 error. So, I tried to re-upload the newspaper theme (thinking it’ll help), but I got “the page doesn’t exist” message. This was fixed: the site was restored with the assistance of a Bluehost’s tech guy. Due to the restoration, the site’s setting made it static, but I didn’t know. So, I thought the problem was persisting.
Given what I learnt on the Theme’s tutorial (updating the theme), I deleted the theme. And tried re-uploading, but it continued giving me the “the page doesn’t exist” message.
What do I do? Because of the hack, I have set the site to the COMING SOON MODE until I pulverize every vulnerability. This is to avoid further threats. By the way, other themes work on the site, except the Newspaper theme. It refuses to get uploaded. As an appendage, I went to themeforest.com, and download a new theme, but the situation was the same. I’d appreciate some help. Thanks.
