Is there a way to grab subtitles for the homepage from posts instead of excerpts?
Hello,
I’m trying to use jquery conditionals to hide or show certain parts of my content to certain users based on several variables, but I’m having trouble determining the item IDs to use as selectors.
For example, on my homepage http://www.theburnin.com, in the sidebar a little way down is a box that says “Build your presence- Write for us”, which I would like to hide from users that have already taken that step. How would I determine the ID of that box to use as my jQuery selector?

I have just bought and installed Newspaper. I have gone to cloud and got the homepage-demo template.
In wp settings I made that the homepage, but none of my content is there? just the words ‘Homepage – Default Demo’
can see at baldhiker.com
Also if I try other way and create a page…. whole page goes blank if I try to press TagDiv Composer
In site settings the URLS are both same and correct as I have seen advised in forum

On the home of my website, the category showing in my post blocks is not the good one : this is not the one i set to be the main one.
Furthermore, the 2ndary category is one i hide in posts, so i dont want it to be on my homepage.

I just want it to show the latest videos with automatic update. Is that possible?
I got the way to edit them, however, your screenshot shows an edit on TagDiv Composer and a specific page.

If the block is no longer in the page structure, why would it still appear there? Quite unusual.
A persistent cache would explain it, but you say it has been cleared fully. It should clear automatically when the page is modified or updated however.
Could be browser cache then, but that will not switch back and forth from the old block to the new one in the same browser.
I browsed the website for a while, returning to the homepage periodically. The old block is not to be seen so far.
That’s exactly it Simion – I cannot replicate it on demand but it happened this morning again – it’s the home page https://westbridgfordwire.com
Currently ( 8:45am UK) this is showing https://imgur.com/a/yuvOofv – but that isn’t the current block chosen in TD Composer, and earlier today a different block was showing, the last chosen block – I haven’t done anything except browse the site to see this
Note that if I edit page with TD Composer, the block is there – view the page then on a mobile device, and you will see the other block, the last chosen block showing, mobile isn’t the issue though – because that same block will show on the homepage again later at some random time
After advice from Bogdan I switched ‘duplicate articles’ to allowed, but this doesn’t fix it

My newspaper theme and search system can not use thai language.
If I type Thai keywords in the search box and Enter will redirect to main homepage every time. But English keywords are not a problem.
such as วิธีแก้ปัญหา, วิเคราะห์, เครื่องมือ and many more.

We’re running into a lot of 504 errors (over 30,000 since last night), and wpengine support determined the cause to be a conflict with the tagdiv plugin suite (including the tagdiv composer, which we used to build our site’s homepage) and the theme itself.
According to wpengine support, we’re not the only newspaper theme users to be facing this issue. Their suggestion was to disable all tagdiv plugins, but seeing as how we rely on the visual composer in particular for our site’s landing page, that’s really not optimal.
We had to go into our database and drop the table “td_011” as well. There seem to be a lot of issues with autoloading in relation to these errors.
Wanted to ask what’s going on and make sure you all are aware of this.
I love flex block, but it seems to be giving me an unexpected side effect of its use. I created a vintage-ish look for my homepage, and it’s just the look and feel that I wanted. I used borders, module background color, etc. Exactly what I wanted. However, I didn’t expect it (or maybe it’s not the fault of flex block, but it’s still a problem) to leave bold lines between each paragraph in my posts! I’ve used Newspaper since version 6, so this was pretty unexpected. My site is currently in Coming Soon/Maintenance mode – is there a way I can attach screenshots?
I keep getting this error appearing in my GSC soft 404 errors. Does this need to be indexed? Can I change robots.txt to tell google to not index it?

Now I’ve a thing which is much more important for me: how can I hide the featured image on smart list? If I publish a smart list I want of course have this on homepage, and, also of course, with an image. But when the user opens the smart list I don’t want to have this featured image above the smart list. That’s ugly and useless. How to solve this?

The sidebar can be implemented in 1 of 2 ways.
If its your homepage we are talking about, please edit the page in the page builder as the sidebar is most likely created directly on that page on a split row.
If it’s a post or category, the check under appearance->sidebars

Hello ! I suscribed to Google AdSense 2 days ago and since this morning, i have too many ads on my website.

I only want the one on the top (bottom of the main menu). But too others are showing : bottom of the list of articles and above the footer (above the instagram widget !).
In the back office i disabled everything but header ads (and sidebar ads), but it is still there.
Any help please ?

Please keep in mind that you should not pay anything! Notice that the infinite scroll on the homepage can be achieved if you will set up a block with this kind of pagination. Check the block settings guide and try to do this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
