So I recently updated our theme from version 4 to the latest version and the homepage and category pages aren’t loading correctly. They seem to have no CSS being applied and aren’t following the formats setup with visual composer. While the posts themselves are loading fine.
The thing is the homepage & category pages load correctly when I’m logged into the admin account. However when I’m not logged in it doesn’t load correctly.

Im using the page builder blocks to create the homepage of my site.
Even if i give a category name in the filter parameters, im still having all the categories names beside the block title.
So, i’ll be grateful to have one of the following solutions :

I would like to know if it is possible to customize the blocks used on the homepage layout ? I try to get the look and feel (color, typo) of the “animal news” template but without the date or # of comments showing on the homepage (like on the other theme “food recipes” for example) and with the title in uppercase.
Is there a pannel to do that in the theme settings ?

You can edit the page using Visual Composer plugin and change/delete the blocks as you wish. What’s wrong with your theme? I’m really angry right now. I’ve done some tips from this forum to make my feature visible on main homepage. After 1 day they disappeared.
Second thing: from the very beginning when I want to share a blogpost on Facebook there are problems. No blogpost title, no featured image, no post description comes to FB. You said that it’s a external problem but EVERY other theme that I’ve tested worked properly with FB.
I feel that I’ve bought only problems and irritation.

I suppose that you do not understand very good how mobile theme works, right? So, please notice that this theme concept intend to display a Big Grid feature at the top of homepage which shows the posts which are included in Featured category, then will show a text which you added in Mobile Editor in Visual Composer from backend and at the very bottom of the page you will bring the Latest Articles module. So, for more information about our mobile theme, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you are unhappy with this layout and if you want to have the similar structure with our demo mobile, you will simply turn off the mobile plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mobile mode.

The mobile theme will not allow any blocks to be added on posts. It only uses on grid created specifically for the homepage and the rest are modules again created specifically for the mobile theme. The theme blocks you can see on desktop cannot be used on the mobile theme as it;s a totally different theme. You must think of the mobile theme as a separate theme that does not have those elements. You cannot use an element from one theme on another. If you want to have the default blocks from our theme on mobile, simply deactivate the mobile theme and use the standard responsive version. That way the mobile version will be able top provide the blocks you need if you add a block to the post template with a do_shortcode function.
As for the social icons, there is no easy way of adding a new social network. They are hard-coded and can only be altered from the theme files.

You missed one very important point, you checked the homepage but usually, Google or real people visit individual homepage quite often. And on the individual posts, the same .js and .css file ( One Akismet .js files and other 5 css file 2 from Google API and 3 from a tomatoheart plugin VC and style.CSS .

Hi.
If it’s not a bug but a feature, then you need to fix consistency with the other filters. Because if you limit the post showed to 1, and choose another filter (e.g. category filter), then the 1 slide block renders normally with just one slide (which shouldn’t, according to the default design you mention).
Then if you do that, it would be useful to not allow the users putting value number 1 in the posts limit field of the said block, to protect them from making mistakes and scratching their heads if things don’t go as expected. Or you can also add this special instruction to the documentation page you directed me in your first answer.
But well, all this is so counter-intuitive. And what’s the point in making the user’s life harder than easier?
If the user chooses to show just 1 slide in the posts limit, then maybe there is a hidden need underneath, and perhaps they believe they can achieve the expected result with what they have.
Maybe there is a lack of a big non-sliding block such as the homepage post, for an important article at the top and maybe a couple important articles in the middle, which can be used multiple times across the page and doesn’t affect the background ads the site may have implemented.
The slide block could easily do the job and double up as Big Single Block and cover this need (and a further improvement would be to disable the display of the next and prev buttons on hover if there is just one slide in the slide block, for whatever the reason).
In any case, why don’t you consider it?

Is there a way to adjust the design options like we can on the Big Grid settings? I am trying to adjust the padding of this section to move the Related Articles closer together. Thoughts?
On the homepage when I click post loop settings I am using the M3 template. I just don’t want them so spaced out.

Please walk with me through the steps, and try to point me to the mistake.
Here’s what i do.
1. I have a plugin to show the IDS of the posts. Here’s a list. Let’s take the first one.
2. This is the homepage layout. There are single slide blocks in at least 2 places as you can see.
3. Let’s pick the first slide block. The behavior is the same for the second one, too.
4. This is the general settings tab. 1 slide only.
5. This is the filters tab. Let’s put the ID of the latest post: 5892. Sort order is set to -Latest-. (Any id I have tried so far gives me the same non-rendering result. The same is true for the sort orders, too).
6. This is the result – the block doesn’t even render!
7. This is what is should look like (this is the result when I pick to show the latest post from a specific category).
8. This is the filters tab of Big Grid 7 block, just below the first slide block, with post IDs. – It works as expected.
