I am running into problems attempting to run a sidebar down my homepage because of the way the blocks are set up. Is there a way to have one block on the right run the length of the page, without tying it to the blocks on the left? When I set up a widgetised sidebar on the right side, which contains numerous widgets, it ties that block to the top block on the left. That means there is a ton of white space under the block on the left, corresponding with the length of my widget block on the right.

That sounds convoluted, I know. Does it make sense? Is there a way around the problem that I’m not seeing?

I am new to wordpress and I installed Newsmag theme in my first blog, see here: http://livecrickethighlight.com. Anyone please help me remove the blank space above the latest posts section also I want the Ad box and block 7 (Fashion category) just above stay connected. Newspaper 4 was fine and awesome. As soon as I installed newspaper 6, the slider starting working weird. It doesn’t really show up and sometimes it shows like some sort of weird new style. And I have a developer friend who begs to differ. He told me that there’s some sort of bug in the new version.

It’s urgent and my website is up and running. I got receive too many visitors but those who visited my website complained about the slider.

I tried using the search here on the forum, but didn’t come up with the answer I was looking for.

My site is 90% posts, is there anyway to make the Featured Image at the top of posts a custom link?

Lets say I wanted to use PrettyLink to create a custom link to a sales page from the top featured image. But leave it so that when they see the image at the bottom of another post or on homepage it takes them to the post. But ONLY on the post itself would the custom link be clickable.

How would I go about doing that?

My old theme used the “the_excerpt()” function to control excerpt length and now I have discovered that this is not the way it’s done in the Newspaper theme. So now all my excerpts appear too long. I am fine with the control I have for the homepage but I would like to add the “the_excerpt()” for my categories. I am using M16 so it shouldn’t take much for me to add some code. Somebody already asked a similar question and you told them what to do so it should be easy. Thank you for your help.
