Hi,
We have already wrote to plugins author so we can find a solution for this, you can also write to their support page: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/google-analytics-for-wordpress
We are trying to fix this but unfortunately is more difficult than we initially tooth. You can disable this option from Yoast Google Analytics general settings, will fix the issue with the links: http://screencast.com/t/LRV9LlBn3 or you can also use our own Google analytics support (just paste the code in our admin): http://screencast.com/t/EtxOCuXlspj
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for the message!
Perfect! Thanks. The homepage links work now.
BUT…. what if we want to make it a little more customized? Like this…
1. The share links on the homepage (Twitter & FB) should add UTM params – https://share.america.gov/?utm_source=shareamerica&utm_medium=homepage&utm_campaign=list — replace “https://share.america.gov/” with the full URL of the article and put today’s date in there too
2. The share links on the individual post for the similar articles (Twitter & FB) should add UTM params – https://share.america.gov/?utm_source=shareamerica&utm_medium=postpage&utm_campaign=similararticles-YYYY-MM-DD : replace “https://share.america.gov/” with the full URL of the article
3. The share links on the individual post for top share buttons (Twitter & FB) should add UTM params – https://share.america.gov/?utm_source=shareamerica&utm_medium=postpage&utm_campaign=sharetop-YYYY-MM-DD : replace “https://share.america.gov/” with the full URL of the article
4. The share links on the individual post for botom share buttons (Twitter & FB) should add UTM params – https://share.america.gov/?utm_source=shareamerica&utm_medium=postpage&utm_campaign=sharebottom — replace “https://share.america.gov/” with the full URL of the article
Can this be done?
Thanks,
David
Hello,
We have created a homepage with a slider where we are showing some featured posts. But the posts shown in the featured loop slider are not showed down, in the categories blocks. Is there anyway to show them in the slider but in the blocks too? Maybe some readers don’t pay attention to the slider.
Thank you in advance.
Juan.
Hi,
You can set the background for the big slider when using “Homepage – bg – no article list” template from here: http://screencast.com/t/vj3o0qdB
The slider form this template is using posts from featured category and doesn’t have any option to change this, you can do it though by editing page-homepage-slider.php file like this: http://screencast.com/t/7pkwMuRo
Thanks
Any News?
So, one aspect of “responsive” design (good and bad), is that it’s better to load a 25kb image once than load the 25kb image once and the 12kb image together and switch those out on viewport. Better to load the 25kb image ONCE, then resize to fit the aspect you’re looking at when you look at it.
I agree it’s best to load the image only once. All I’m saying (and is what I believe Google Pagespeed is saying) is that we should request the version of the image that is best fit to the screen at it’s current orientation, and then if the device changes the viewport, the image will be resized locally, which is essentially what newspaper does now at a certain level.
For example, if I load my homepage and resize the browser window down to 767 pixels, I see this image which is only 326px wide being displayed at over 700 px wide WITHOUT reloading the image, as seen in the screenshot below, second image down:
Does that make sense? If someone really was bothered by the pixelated images, they’d probably realize that they could simply re-orient their device to how they loaded the page or simply reload the page. It seems terribly inefficient to me to have every single person download a high-resolution image on the off-chance that they will flip from portrait to landscape while viewing the page…
The other benefit of using the larger image is for retina/HD displays on a mobile device which have higher pixel count than desktop; so again, if you do the pixel math, a 700×500 image on a screen with double the pixel count, loaded half size, would still provide the same number of pixels when shown half size — without having to load alternate retina/HD version of image or use “image stacks.”
I agree, it does look nice on “Retina” phone screens, which is why I disabled my retina plugin on mobile devices. I think it would simply be a better solution to have Newspaper serve a 300 px wide image, and then allow the retina plugin to substitute the @2x version, rather than serving everyone the hi-res image.
Doesn’t that seem more efficient?
Hi Lucian,
We finally lifted the password off the site and made it public today… https://share.america.gov/
As we discussed before… The facebook “Share This” link is still not working on the homepage. But, it works great on all internal pages. We are still using the td_module_6.php file.
Please help!
Thanks
David
Ok, in the first case using css can you tell me how to add different background for two block 4 (like the first one is green and second is blue), i try to do that but it always change colour to every block 4 on my homepage :/
Hi,
Please replace the content of page-homepage-loop.php file with this: http://pastebin.com/GpYcZMNK like this: http://screencast.com/t/JkvXMoBsg
After adding this please add this custom css in theme panel > custom css like this: http://screencast.com/t/BOKsmfnVa
.td-older-pagination a {
background-color: #4DB2EC;
display: block;
font-family: 'Roboto',serif;
font-weight: bold;
height: 35px;
margin-bottom: 40px;
text-align: center;
color: #FFFFFF;
line-height: 33px;
}
After this please make sure you edit the page and use this template: http://screencast.com/t/oW1QiisNqQrW
Should work fine on local host also. If you can’t manage to do this by yourself we recommend to hire a freelancer from site like: http://studio.envato.com/
Thanks

Hi,
I am trying to add some custom css to my homepage via the option in the visual composer – so that it applies it just for that page.
I tested some custom css earlier which worked fine but it now will not delete or update. I put the code in and there are no errors but when I press save nothing happens. If I click close and then update and go back in the code I put in is gone and the old code I used earlier to test with is back.
Thanks 🙂

Hello,
Just wanted to let you know that the theme appears to have a couple of problems when viewed on an iPhone 6 Plus. I am unsure whether this may be a similar problem on devices of such size.
– The menu does not load (slide out) when the menu button in the top-left hand corner is pressed.
– Some of the images on the homepage are out of sync with the articles. i.e. it’s the wrong image showing next to some headlines.
Our website is http://www.thisisanfield.com and any advice is much appreciated.
Many thanks.
Hi,
Use the class .home so that the background will apply only to thew homepage: http://screencast.com/t/kVHRHXRbh
.home .td-page-wrap {
background-color: #4b4b4b !important;
}
Thanks

Please help me.
Thank you.
* Shows that bug if you have a long title. Checked with short titles, no issues, just with long ones.
I wait from devs for a proper code (header and footer).
Also, noted in opera a bug, with or without a code.

In breadcrumbs if you have a subcategory, the breadcrumbs will go up as in the screen. (I have a red colored menu and DEFAULT SITE POST TEMPLATE style 5)
The team doesn’t work on weekends.
Some of the gaps would be resolved via this CSS:
.td_block_big_grid {
padding-bottom: 0px !important;
}
.wpb_row {
margin-bottom: 0px;
}
Adjust px as desired.
The horizontal gaps are harder to remove because they’re part of the entire grid layout. I would recommend not bothering, but if you really have to, you could play with these values…
.td_block3 {
margin-left: 20px;
}
.td_block3 .span4 {
margin-left: 0px !important;
margin-right: 0px !important;
}
Use .home .td_block3 and .home .td_block3 .span4 if you only want these to affect the homepage.
TagDiv support can probably help you with the ads; I can’t.
If you want that space between the grid and the footer to be removed, don’t add padding on top of .td-footer-wrap! Use a negative margin for .td-grid-wrap. The extra space probably comes from .wpb_row .row-fluid in your image (used for blocks and modules and such), but adjusting that would adjust all the rows.
/* Using specific sides to avoid changing side padding */
.td-page-wrap .td-grid-wrap {
padding-top: 20px !important;
padding-bottom: 120px !important;
}
Using for footer high values is creating more space… adding negative, does not make any change…
