often best place to start in finding options to extend what WordPress does is the official WordPress plugin repository (or “repo”) found here; in this example for Facebook login plugins:

In choosing a plugin to “try,” you can often look at
a) number of installs
b) rating
c) how recently updated (if more than 2 years, probably not good choice)

Hi, just installed the theme on our staging/development server. Now, it asks for activation. If I activate, would I still be able to use the theme when I move it to the production server? They are all technically on the same server, just different WP instances on different subdomains pointing to different DBs (e.g. stg.mydomain.com and http://www.mydomain.com). How do other people here do it? There is no way I can just deploy the theme and work on the production WP instance.
Also, I cannot seem to install the js composer right from the theme settings menu. I have to manually upload the zip file I got from themeforest because of SSL certificate issues. We are on a shared server and the certificate is not for our domain. After I upload, it asked for activation, too. Do we have to pay extra for the visual composer? I thought it is part of the theme?

The social icons are not working because newspaper 7 requires the latest version of the social counter plugin as the functionality was changed and a few features added in. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. As a general rule, please notice that before to delete any caching plugin you will have to clear all of the caches to get rid out of them. Try to reinstall the plugin, clear the cache and then disable it and check the results.

Hi, since last update, on mobile is shown desktop version of theme, not mobile. We tried to switch off plugin, than switch it on again, but nothing changde. Also, we did not install any new plugins since it worked properly. Some sugestions?

Also, if you problem will still there after this, please notice that this type of plugin is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about plugin’s functionality and also, we cannot say for sure if this one will work as properly with the theme. To rule out any conflicting plugins, please disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear the caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.

No, the plugin Wordfence isn’t installed.
As mentioned before I’m able to save all theme settings. The weird thing is that the message appears ONLY when I click on the tab ‘IMPORT/EXPORT’ of the theme panel. And can’t get into the import/export window of the theme panel. Even when I have saved settings before, this message comes up when I click on (only) the tab IMPORT/EXPORT. The rest of the tabs of the theme panel are accessible and working fine (and changes are even saved).
Is it possible that a plugin is blocking only that part of the theme?

This plugin will completely remove the mandatory ‘Category Base’ and all the parents from your category permalinks (e.g. /category/parent-category/my-category/ to /my-category/).
Unfortunately, installing your template, I encountered the following problem.
On the main page of the site (rugde.ru), all links to articles do not have a category at all (eg http://rugde.ru//domashnie-zhivotnye-v-zhizni-rebenka.html).
Such links do not work.
At the same time, On other pages of the site contains the correct links.
(eg http://rugde.ru/stati).

This issue is related to caching so please clear all caches whether it’s a cache plugin (we only recommend wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/), or a cdn server or hosting cache.
Then test the theme panel again.

We did not provide any answer to this topic as we do other topics where the proper solution is provided. There was no point in simply confirming Chris’ solution. The same answer would have been provided by us as well 🙂
If on EVERY update your theme breaks, then it means you are not doing it properly. Please use the ftp method as it’s the safest way of doing it. if you have customization done or a child theme please remove them and only test the main theme with the default theme code. I have checked your site and it seems you have the latest version and it seems to run properly so I;m nost sure what it is I should help with. Please let us know if you have further trouble and we will investigate it.
Also if you use a cdn or an untested caching plugin, that can also be the cause of the theme breaking after an update. Please make sure you use this guide to set up the cache plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and reset cdn after each update.

In order to change the symbols from the Next to the Top button, please notice that you will have to import a list of symbols or you can try to use some plugins with this functionality to install the stylesheet for these symbols which should have some codes. This is necessary for the theme recognize all of them. After this, you will have to use a bit of CSS to change this, using the code below ->

Further, you will have to find an online solution/plugin that offers you these codes. So, if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide additional customizations at the moment, sorry!

I want to use it on pages, not posts.
I want to have a row added to visual composer and make sure that it is being displayed after posts’ loop of the front page, at the bottom.
But no matter of what I add to the bottom of visual composer, posts loop is being displayed always after its content, on the frontpage.
Let me tell you a scenario:
Install a fresh copy of WP and install the theme along with its dummy content. Frontpage has now some imported content. Lets go to the frontpage and add a new row with some text, at the very end, after all other elements.
You save and refresh and your new row is there, but it appears before posts’ loop.

I have checked your website and I saw the clutter for the block 1. Also, I have checked your console and I have notice that you are some js.error and also, you are using the child theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. All of these tasks you will have to do in the main theme and then check the results.

You are installing wrong file. You need to use just theme zip not the all files zip. Good idea to unzip stuff on your pc before uplaoding to server to see what is in zip.

Most common mistake is updating theme by ‘over writing’ vs deleting old folder and uploading new one; or uploading zip vs the unzipped folder; OR forgetting to ALSO upload all the new plugins included with the theme.

Just remember NOT to try using the pokey Envato updater thing (never!!!!!) and always do via FTP, so you can LOOK at your folder and see WHAT you are actually uploading to server vs guessing/hoping/praying its right.
So, you might try my suggestions on ‘resetting’ so you can login, — or do clean install of theme/plugins.
