Hi
Since I Upgraded to latest wordpress installation yesterday on 14th April, I can’t see any images on my site. I am able to upload image in my post but on front end it goes invisible. I updated to latest version of theme but still problem persists. Please tell me what to do.

Can I run the theme without Visual composer? I’m not a fan of page builders – too much code and I would like to keep my site as light as possible. I’ve just installed it and it seems to run fine without it. Just checking with you that this won’t cause any major issues!? Let me know. Thanks. John

Hello, I have installed the healthy theme on my website and I don’t know how to change these names of the ‘block titles’ (are they called block titles)?

For example.. I deleted all the categories that were installed with the theme and they still are on my website titles… please check and tell me how do I change them? (Popular, Must Read, Food, Fitness, Health, Science, Latest Posts)…

My website: http://www.lifehealthandfood.com

Thank you!

Also, when I go to the Newspaper theme page, and upload VC from there, the problem does not resolve. I have tried to delete and re-install three times.

I have installed NEWSPAPER on SITEGROUND server but I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/’ in /home/MY_WEBSITE_NAME/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_fonts.php on line 795

Any ideas what needs to be done, as their support do not know.

Many thanks

You need to upload the zip file for theme only; not the “all files” zip which also has docs, plugins, changelog, etc. Unzip the all files on your hard drive to see its contents.

See the theme docs, right side of page on how to install theme properly.

It has two revslider.zip folders. One is in Newspaper-tf / plugins and the other is in newspaper-tfplugins / revolution_slider_5 /
What is the right? and where I put this zip folder? In the folder / theme includes or directly install the plugin.
Sorry, but after this problem I was really confused.

Thank you! Chris S wrote.
It worked clearing the cache, but the problem was with the revslider plugin. And now I am in doubt which of the folders I get the plugin to install. revslider.zip or revolution_slider_5. This second folder is causing the problem, as requested license key. Already revslider.zip folder does not have the version 5

Via FTP delete the jscomposer folder in plugins folder.

Install clean version.

You may need to clear all caching/CDN as applicable; also clear ‘transients’ using WP-optimize.

Always keep backup of working site as snapshot so you can roll back if needed.

Good luck!

Hi,

I run Newspaper on two sites:
http://www.londoninstereo.com
http://www.bristollivemagazine.co.uk

I need to update to the latest version of Newspaper before updating WordPress, so I installed the Envato WordPress Toolkit plugin on one of the sites and followed the instructions here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-automatically-update-newspaper-theme/

However, when I click ‘save’ on the Envato Toolkit page after inputting my API key, it seem to change the entry in that box, and although it has found Newspaper on the Themes tab, it doesn’t say there’s an update available, although I know there is because I’m running version 6.6 right now. (and WordPress 4.4.2)

Has anyone else reported seeing this problem / do you have any idea why this might be happening?

Thanks!

Hannah

Hi Catalin,

It was resolved after re installing the theme with latest version from Envato but the problem seems to have surfaced again (in Chrome). Works fine on firefox

Have a nice day!

I saw the detail log:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string

WPFront User Role Editor plugin added key wpfront-user-role-editor-widget-permissions-data to block. I don’t know why and I removed that plugin.
Now it works perfectly.

Thank you!

Hi all,

I have recently installed WP-Postratings plugin but the Rating system is not appearing in posts/pages..

I have checked the installation guide where the editor wrote the following :

Find <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
Add Anywhere Below It (The Place You Want The Ratings To Show): <?php if(function_exists(‘the_ratings’)) { the_ratings(); } ?>

But I can not find this line.
Could you please support ?
thanks

Hello aragorn,

As I said you above, our theme was designed to be able to share only the posts based on the featured image for each post. If you want to have control to the image when you want to share a page, you have to use SEO by Yoast plugin because it is tested with our theme and work as properly. After you have installed this plugin when you edit the page you will have some fields where you can set these elements -> http://screencast.com/t/dLTBYOAaVZ
I have tested on my side and seems to work as expected.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the message!

Hi,

I installed the lastest version of Visual Composer from your theme but it said that I need to activate/ purchase a license. What should I do now?

Andrei L.

Hi

The theme was designed to use featured images only from WordPress install, not from external links. You can try to use a plugin with a similar functionality to achieve that but I can’t make any recommendation in this regard as we didn’t tests and I am not sure how these plugins will work with our theme.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please ensure that you use the latest version of the theme and the Visual Composer plugin. We have tested on our side and everything seems to work as expected.
Please remove your current version of the plugin and delete files, and then install it again from the theme’s plugin section: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Thank you for the message!

Hi,
@salimnaz is Did you by any chance install the test version of wordpress 4.5 before the release? Visual composer had issues with the new version of WP, but it was fixed yesterday.
@both Please update your themes to the latest verion (6.7.1) by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also update visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
