Hello.
I’m new at WordPress and Newsletter theme. But I’m building a blog and I bought the theme because of it’s great reviews I found in the web.
I was able to install it and everything is working fine.
I have two questions, though: I want that every time I publish a post (or a new page) this post will be automatically published in Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. How do I do this?
In the theme panel there is a section named “Social Networks”. What is this goal here? What type of links shall we use here? I tried links like https://linkedin.com/in/xxxxx and https://www.facebokk.com/xxxx but nothing happens when I create a new post.
To summarize, my two questions are:
a) How do I automatically update LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter every time I create a new post or page?
b) What is the objective of the links in the links in the section “Social Networks” and how do they work.
Thanks a lot in advance and sorry if my questions are very basic.
I recently installed NewsMag and am having issues with the images not loading on the front page. I’ve fiddled around with a bunch of stuff, including changing the blocks (the “slider” seems to be a little glitchy re loading), installing WP Smush, and making sure WP Super Cache is working properly. I also use CloudFlare.
Still, I get white spaces where the images are supposed to be. Any idea what might be going on?

Your main htaccess file is typically in the same folder as wp-config and same one wordpress writes to when saving permalinks with normal install. Other htaccess files can be used on per folder basis for security and other purposes.
Google what an htaccess file is for more info.
See the wordpress.org install wp info for how htaccess us hsed for wp.

Theme does not control permalinks – that is done by WordPress.
If changing permalinks structure, be sure to do that with the default theme for WP, then install this theme once you have working site.
Hi
First make sure you do a full backup of your current wp-install and database to: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
If you can’t deactivate/delete the old plugin’s version from wp-admin then you can use the ftp method to update the plugin.
First unzip the js_composer.zip file on your computer, make sure it’s V 4.9 which is included in theme path. After this step login on your account using ftp, navigate to /your-wp-install/wp-content/plugins delete the js_composer folder then upload the new one. After this step you should be able to activate the plugin from wp-admin.
Thanks!

After I installed the plugin WooCommerce 2.5.5 then activate it and I got the following error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5 bytes) in /home/suabhmon/public_html/suabhmong2/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 1223
Please help.

Hi
I am not sure why you did the migration this way as there is a more simpler method.
First make sure you do a full backup of your current wp-install and database to: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Then follow our documentation to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ Make sure that you do a clean update, meaning the we recommend to delete the old theme files, clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins that you have it installed and purge cdn files if you’re using.
Also make sure you update Visual Composer plugin at V 2.3.5 here is our documentation in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve just installed the last newsmag version (9th december) but can’t update visual composer

Hi,
when a user on mobile tries to share a post via the browser to facebook, it opens it with browser instead of the facebook app that is installed.
Any solutions to make it share with the app?
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your website and found where the author box is coming from. If you want to remove it, do it from here: http://screencast.com/t/65gPDIgjDwq as it’s a plugin you installed.
Thank you!
Hi,
We are sorry you feel this way, but please understand that support has limits in what can be offered. Please read the support policy: https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ and you will see that it clearly states that customization services are not included.
The following issues are not covered by support:
Server configuration and complex server-side issues
Customization and installation service
WordPress general support/howto’s. For this can look on wordpress.org forums or check on web for tutorials
Support for third party software and plug-ins or other issues that are not related to our product
If you search through this forum you will see that we do go that extra mile just to make our customers happy. But we cannot tackle big and time-consuming customization though.
Thank you!
Hello VoZz,
Please ensure that you have correctly followed all the steps in order to set your Ajax Filter, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ Also, please make sue that you are using the latest version of the Theme (6.7) and Visual Composer (4.11). Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please try your theme without any untested plugins because this thing could cause some js errors in the theme that create these issues.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and found a js error in browser’s console: http://screencast.com/t/8rI71u6h2DfF This error seems to be related with one of your installed plugins as it’s source file is not from our theme or from Visual Composer. Try to deactivate ALL plugin except Visual Composer clear the cache memory and test again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Well, try looking there with your web hosting “file manager” to make sure it’s NOT there.
But yes, it should be in the same place as the wp-config.php file … usually, anyway.
You can of course simply upload a plain text file and set the write permissions to 775 or 777 depending on your host setup. Then you should be able to go to your WP admin settings and do “save permalinks” … if it saves them then it is writable, if it can’t write there, then change permission on the .htaccess file to 777.
Might also be worth revisiting the “install wordpress” docs on wordpress.org
Hello, I just purchased your theme and would like to ask something. It’s very basic questions though: if I install one of the Newspaper demos, will I lose my current posts? and if I choose one of the Newspaper Demos, can I still customize the widgets?
Hey guys,
I had some trouble when I installed the Envato auto updater. The website seems to be working fine now, except from a problem with the ajax filter I will make a seperate topic for.
Anyway, my question is, am I not supposed to have an .htacces file in the root? I know the file is usually hidden, but when I tried to resolve the former issue I couldn’t find it. I tested it by uploading a manually created one into the root. I can see that one, but it also didn’t ask to overwrite anything.
Catalin,
I have already tried the fresh install method, the site is currently running of a fresh installation.
I then deactivated all the plugins, however it did not seem to have solved anything.
Regards,
Tu
Hello TuNguyenUK,
Please try to make a fresh install and trying to run the system only with Visual Composer. I recommend you doing a fresh install via FTP by following this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Your settings will not be affected as they are stored in the database. Simply download the latest version of the theme again and install it directly and see if your fonts work.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hello Castle Yen,
I suspect this issue come from your untested plugins which you are using in the theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is necessary to follow this advice because if you are using some untested plugins with our theme those can interfere with the theme and could create some js errors in your console which cause this type of problem.
If your problem is still there after these changes and if you need more assistance in this regard, please provide your website URL so I can further inspect the issue.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Hello
