I am in maintenance mode right now trying to deactivate all plugins that could affect the Speed Booster plugin from activating without commenting the certain code in td-speed-booster.php and this shows up for BuddyPress.
v4.2 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: buddypress/bp-loader.php. That is with no changes to BuddyPress at all. Default install of BuddyPress.
So now what?
I even pretty much deactivated all plugins and this Speed Booster complains about them all. Only one it does not complain about is Visual Composer and WP Super Cache. I do not like using the Yoast SEO plugin and I am using All In One SEO. It is like we can’t use anything on plugins with this plugin except for only ones you have used but surprise you say BuddyPress is supported but not by Speed Booster plugin.
I am going to stick with no Speed Booster plugin since it is pretty much a complain plugin.

Hi guys.
As I can improve a little more time to load my web ?, I’ve noticed that with the latest update is a bit slower than before. I have installed the plug-ins for the dedicated server images and have good machine.
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpicrun.es%2F&tab=mobile
I also had this same problem.
I was able to get this resolved by creating a php.ini file using Notepad and adding these lines, then upload to the root directory of your WordPress install:
max_input_vars = 5000;
max_execution_time = 300;
post_max_size = 65M;
I’m using GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting and actually created both a php.ini file and a .user.ini file (make sure dot is in front of ‘user’) per GoDaddy recommendation with the same 3 lines above and uploaded both to the root. I then visited my site from my phone so that the server would update. I went back to my site and tried uploading and it worked.
Also see here about increasing memory limits to 64M in the wp-config file. You’ll need to do that too. There is a thread explaining how to do it but couldn’t find it immediately, just search this forum for it.
BTW – Adding the 3 lines of code to the htaccess file was also recommended on the same thread, but I searched elsewhere and it didn’t work for anyone which is why I ended up creating the new .ini files.
Hope that helps!
Best first steps:
Change your theme being used to default WP theme (eg twenty-fifteen)
a) remove/delete all themes except for the 3 default themes with WordPress
b) remove/delete all plugins you’re not using (e.g., old ones from old themes, anything new you’ve installed recently not included with the theme)
c) change *all* your passwords for WordPress, and your hosting account ASAP.
d) reinstall ALL your plugins (delete old ones entirely, replace with new ones via FTP), and download new copy of the theme from ThemeForest — delete old Newsmag folder, upload NEW copy — don’t over-write ANY old folders during this process
dd) install full clean copy of WordPress — do this by FTP; delete the wp-includes and wp-admin folders, upoload new ones from fresh download of WP from WordPress.org; over write the files in root (be sure to backup your wp-config.php and .htaccess files)
ddd) double check your htaccess file for any weirdness such as redirects to other websites
e) rescan your site with SECURI scanner.
If your content has been infected at the post level, you may need to manually edit each post to remove “injected” content.
Once your site is “fixed” — consider reading up on numerous security posts online to do stuff like
a) delete admin account as super user
b) install tools like “limit login attempts”
c) consider disabling comments and pingbacks entirely unless you have need for them; consider using plugin like Disqus instead
d) read up on any plugin on wordpress.org before install; don’t install oddball plugins “free on the web someplace”
e) make regular backups of theme settings, wp settings export, php dbase clone and save, etc., full ftp download of all assets to local drive
Hopefully that all may give you some guidance and perhaps starting point on some things you can do yourself before finding somebody to hire.
Theme has no infections. We’ve been using it for 2 years on multiple sites and we check system consistently for any issues including Google search console, dedicated server scanning, Securi, PCI-DSS etc.
You need to have your site checked carefully for malware, change passwords, reinstall all plugins from clean copies; remove any old themes and plugins not in use; scan your site with SECURI (free), and if your host has a security scanning service have them also check for rootkits and other nonsense.
Only YOU can fix your site if its been compromised. Note that some older versions of plugins, WordPress itself, are hackable, so these need to be up to date. Many older plugins prior to 2015 and not updated may have the cross-site vulnerability, comment injection vulnerabilities, etc.
Thank you for all your help.
I remove the JS Composer plugin folder and updated to the visual composer plugin you pointed out, flushed the cache and still same problem. I did actually use the same plugin from the theme update package previously.
I also checked the general settings to include posts and pages.
I am at a loss what to do next. I dont want to lose the last half year of work with a fresh install.
I can give you login info if you want to take a look.
thanks again,
Carbonero
All good here – combination of reinstall of theme via FTP and addressing issue with child theme has resolved.
Hi StockFanatic,
We are sorry for the inconvenience but Facebook changed a few things that made the social counter not work anymore. This was fixed in the current version of the theme which went live yesterday.
Please update your theme to the latest version (6.6) and also update the social counter plugin by deleting your current one and installing the one that comes with the theme: http://screencast.com/t/Zo16smkGYD2 .
For more information about how to update our theme to new version, please consult our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and here, http://tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-6-update/ , you can see the new content updates.
If the problem is still there after update, please let us know!
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately we have not tested the new version of the social counter with the old version of our theme. You can try to download and install it (download the new version of the theme from envato and just update the plugin), but as the code was changed quite a bit since version 4, i do not think it will work.
We suggest you update your theme to the latest version.
Thank you!
Hello,
The new version of social counter comes with the latest version of the theme (6.6) You will need to update to this version in order to get the plugin to work. Please update your theme using this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Then please delete your old social counter from the plugins section. deactivate and delete files. Then please install the social counter from here: http://screencast.com/t/Zo16smkGYD2
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure you update the theme properly. The FTP method is always the best one. You can follow this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please also disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge CDN if you use it.
If the problem is still there afterwards, please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your wp-admin credentials and FTP access so we can take a look and see where the error comes from.
Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hi,
The problem was fixed and an update released. Please update your theme to the latest version 6.6 and also update your social counter by deleting the current version and installing the one that comes with the new theme version.
Thank you!
Hi
We have tested the theme security rigorously before releasing and also it was tested and analyzed by Envato reviewers and if would have any security issues would not pass their reviews.
Also I’ve test your site with a malware security scanner and fond some malicious activities: https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/pavlikeni.com/ – http://screencast.com/t/ktyzW0bxVB Checking our demo too can be seen that is no thread there so can’t be a theme’s issue: http://screencast.com/t/hfBXLFGJSqzD
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also I found here some resources that may help you fixing this iisues: http://smackdown.blogsblogsblogs.com/2008/06/24/how-to-completely-clean-your-hacked-wordpress-installation/ – http://vivavivugeek.blogspot.ro/2014/03/detect-and-remove-spam-seo-blackhat-seo.html
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Heh, I see that I am not the only one with this problem 🙂
I will try to remove the plugin and install the new version over it in an hour.
Back up your site (safety reasons). Go to your installation (wp-content/plugins/) and delete the folder /wordpress-seo. Download the version you want here https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/developers/ (I am using 2.3.5), unzip it and just upload the new directory to the same place (the settings you had previously used for Yoast are in the database, not in the plugin directory).
I’ve deleted the old tagDiv Social Counter and installed it again from the Theme Panel. Still showing “0” for Facebook Fans.
Cache has been cleared on both my browser and my site: http://carolinaepicurean.com Still showing “0”.
How can I fix this?
Thank you,
Laura
Just roll back the SEO Yoast version…too many issues with their v.3.0.x…do not waste your time…I got several issues with my installation and I am closely following their forum threads…lots of complaints and issues.
Hi
You can use Revolution Slider plugin, which it’s included in /plugins folder, to create a full width slider: http://screencast.com/t/5KiwDmuQwj You can find the installation steps of the plugin in our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/ We have some demo sliders, in Newspaper-tf\demo_sliders folder, which you can use to became more familiar with plugins functionality: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/ and also you can check plugin’s official documentation for more details regarding the features available: http://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/welcome-slider-revolution/
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hello,
Please remove all versions of your visual composer plugin and it’s files (FTP may be the best choice) And install the plugin from here: http://screencast.com/t/bQeVrE5Brnm
Other versions of visual composer do not work with our theme as the bundled version is adjusted to our theme’s code.
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!

Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience. This is a known issue. Facebook made a few modifications that cut access to our social counter. This was fixed however as of yesterday when the new theme version was released. Please update the theme to the latest version (6.6) and also update your social counter plugin by removing it from your plugins area and installing it from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/Zo16smkGYD2
Thank you!
Hello,
Normally the envato policy allows the use of a theme only on one install. You can however use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed: http://screencast.com/t/NqzloVgyUJB.
Thank you!
Hello Andy,
You can put the logo where you want, using Font Awesome plugin. After you have installed this plugin, please consult our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/
The result you should see here: http://screencast.com/t/YAysr2424O4g
I hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hello,
The best way you can go about this is to access your files via FTP and manually install the theme. Delete the old one and upload the new version. You can follow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Also make sure you clear your cache, remove any plugins and purge CDN files if you use it.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
I already installed 3.1 plugin version before it was 3.0
But still unsolved
