Marius helped me one time but after today’s Template update Twitter and Facebook again no longer worked, I uninstalled and installed this WordPress plugins: social-count-plus. Now works fine for me.

General note, some Java based stuff works better on Chrome than IE, and some java stuff sucks on Firefox. Many folks forget to check what plugins they may have running inside their web browser and which also use java … this is why Chrome and Firefox are starting to quash many of the plugins/add-ons for browsers. This is something to check also and possibly deactivate any Adobe, social media, custom menu bar, or other stuff installed as an “addon” to the actual web browser.
This drove me nuts with my ecom solution last year and my syndication module in WordPress; switched to different browser worked right, went back to orig and turned off all the stupid add-ins for browser I had at the time. Cleared my cache completely, added a little more disk space to browser cache default size. Really helped.

Hi I just installed the 3.2 version and I found problems:
1. The social sharing icons (I think) should open in a new window.
2. The new social sharing icons are not my style. I prefer the one with counts or number of actions/retweets/likes. That further engages the viewer to share the article. Yes, that has an effect.
3. When editing loop-single.php and adding the <?php echo $td_mod_single->get_social_sharing();?> on top of the post, the tags are there also. During the previous versions, I put the same code below the subtitle so that the social icons are on top of the post.

well, do a clean install on your computer, download XAMMP (this is a package that contanins Apache web server, Mysql, and some other software), download wordpress and run the wordpress instalation steps then install our theme. After this install the demo data:http://screencast.com/t/pDt1WbSw6 .
at this point check how fast the theme panel is loading.
if is slow then there is a with the theme.
if is fast then the problem is from somewhere else (plugins, or configuration that the hosting company has for that server).
from my experience I can tell you that there is a javascript file that belongs to a plugin that takes to much time to load, and our panel wait for it to load.
however finding this file and stooping it is no easy task since everything in working in the hidden from your eyes.

Make sure GD Library is installed on your server.
I think a lot of people run into this same problem, maybe not even noticing it though, but I don’t think it’s normal to display categories double and therefor fixing it is a custom job.
Also adjusting the color of your menu? Seems like a VERY BASIC function.
If I didn’t already put through the entire installation, I would have. Seriously the theme is amazing, looks great, includes all features. But when a simple question is custom work, I think that’s poor support. I give you the full CSS; only thing you’d have to do is say which class is wrong or right.
But now I’ll have to get a freelancer to change the color of my menu on my 55 dolar theme. Thanks anyway.

is not normal to take 3 minutes, what plugin do you have, disable all an try again.
to find out if the theme has problem, you need to instal it on your computer and install the demo data (no plugins). If it duos the same on your computer then there is a problem with the theme, if it doesn’t then the problem is from somewhere else.

Hi, i bought your theme “newspaper” from themeforest, and i have a question:
I would like to have a demo that will look like demo on your presentation site of “newspaper”.
I click on instal demo, but it’s quite different from yours.
My point is that i bougt that template not only because it’s a really great job, but for demo that you offer too.
i will be appreciate if you send me a newest demo and guide me, a little bit, how to install it.
After just installing the theme I’m finding some things that I think might might make it better or that I found confusing. I thought I’d drop a line and share in the hopes of making the next version even better!
1- Sidebars Organization: Organize the sidebar listing in the widget section to more accurately show their true location. IE: the top right “social” sidebar lists under the “newspaper default” one on a clean install. It might make more sense to have this sidebar listed at the top since that’s it’s true location in the layout. (it was confusing when I had a recent post widget showing up in this sidebar and displaying in the top menu. Didn’t seem intuitive that this would be a sidebar nor did the description of the sidebar really describe it’s location or purpose)
2- Widget styles – Perhaps be a bit more descriptive in style names? IE: in the social icons icon style 1 could be “full color” and style 3 “light on dark” and style 4 “dark on dark”… just makes it easier to choose styles if we have some idea other than 1,2,3..ect…
Not sure if it’s just me after toying with a few themes, but a default child theme install with demo content seems to have some inactive sidebars by default with tagdiv widgets in them. At first my “social icon” sidebar actually had a recent post widget already assigned.

I just bought the theme and so far it looks great
I just have one question since I’m working with existing content.
I want to regenerate the thumbnails to fit and have the plugin installed.
I also found this on the image sizes https://forum.tagdiv.com/quick-info-guide/.
But I’m not sure what dimensions to use in Settings > Media.
There is large, medium and thumbnail.
Could you tell me the exact dimensions that are best to input here?

1. Those are Profile Feed Groups. Accessible via: http://site.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=bp-profile-setup if you have BuddyPress installed.
2. Yes, that’s true but since you guys said you have BuddyPress and bbPress support, as users of the theme, we do expect a streamlined experience and UX for those.

yes, I use BBedit on Mac and TextPad on PC, as my text editors, but basically you can also use notepad (not wordpad), or whatever the plain text editor on Mac is these days (I always want to say simpletext).
SO: create new blank text document with same name as the file you plan to minify (filenameXYZ.js), put into a folder or wherever you store stuff on your computer, and leave it open …
THEN, open the file from Newspaper theme folder you want to minify in text editor, select all (CTRL+A) and copy and paste into the minifier site, apply – then copy the minified text into your blank document then save. FTP up the minified version to over-write the original in the theme folder (you should have backup, or your themeforest install as backup obviously).
So, you’re replacing the original *.js file in the theme folder with your minified version.
Easy. Certainly there are plugins that might work for you, too, but I’ve not used one lately so can’t suggest best one beyond the discussion in the pagespeed topic.
Reload your page. If you’re caching the js files obviously you need to clear cache. Both on site if using cache plugin and in your web browser to see changes.
Remember you would need to do this each time you update the theme. But it really takes under a minute to do, for those who need it done. Try it.

if you’re using my pals in Canada at Gossamer Threads, aka “GTMetrix” — a great tip many people entirely miss is that you can run a page score on your site, and it will tell you if CSS or JS need to be optimized BUT THEN IT WILL GIVE YOU LINK TO DOWNLOAD OPTIMIZED VERSIONS!!

put in your site URL, or a “post” URL – then under stuff to fix it will have section on JS optimization, open little sub box, and it will show you files which “should be optimized” and will have little text link next to each one. Download/save the optimized version, upload via FTP, and done.

The plugin we’ve been using for several years (seems like 7 years?) in one form or another by the world famous WP guru Lester Chan, is this one

It’s compatible with caching plugins. (See docs obviously … or “RTFM”).
It also writes to its own meta field, so it makes it easy to either use concurrently with any theme counter, or set the theme to pull from its data-field.
This may or may not work for your particular install, and it won’t solve any issues with “printing” items on pages or posts, likely, but if you want to keep view counts it works great for us.

We have tried to make this but that implementation have some limitation, sorry about that. You can configure the big slider on that homepage somehow directly from file but the configuration will be the same for each page.

Same here. Localhost installed, xampp, WordPress 3.8.1, English. No plugin except Animated Gif Resize and Revolution Slider. No speedbooster. Only demo posts. Please help.
