So you disabled the Gutenberg editor by installing the classic editor plugin? Then everything should be as before, including the option to set a featured image or video.

I have the same setup, latest theme 9.2.1 and classic editor plugin active, the featured image appears for me

Could also be a plugin conflict, you could investigate that as well.

Yes, hundreds of issues with this over the last 4+ years, and still not resolved. So I have bought the theme yesterday, installed it and it does not work. If I go to Newspaper -> Plugins it says tagDiv Composer is required….you cannot install it from there since the header is corrupted (same error that has persisted for years, as I can see).
Then I go to plugins, install it manually from the files that I have received, says it is installed and then I activate it. Everything good.
However, on the welcome page it still says “Please install and activate the tagDiv Composer plugin”, and on the plugins page it is marked with “Required”. WordPress version is 5, and this theme’s version is 9.2.1.
On the WordPress plugins page it shows the WPBakery Page Builder (same crap? No?).
In wp_content/js_composer it shows the js_composer folder (now go figure if this is the same as divTag composer…I certainly cant’).
In any case, how do I resolve this and if it cannot be resolved how do I return this and get my money back?

Yes you can use a tagDiv Cloud Template , and make sure that you do not have any demo install, in this way no demo css will be load ( the demo css is loading only if you have some demo install, if you uninstall it the css will be remove ).

1. If you use cPanel / WHM or Cloudlinux and your host use / upgrade to php 7.1 or 7.2 you can encounter problems with “thumbnails not showing (images)” because default EasyApache 4 via WHM do not install some PHP extensions as default (extensions that were installed in PHP 7.0 and earlier versions as default via EasyApache or Cloudlinux profile):
– php-mysqlnd -> Some WordPress websites will display this error: Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress and some websites not showing images / thumbnails. Especially if you use MariaDB version 10.2 (recommended by cPanel).
– libc-client
– php-curl
– php-bcmath (need if you use some form plugins who calculate the total)
– soap (if you have installed woocommerce)
When this extensions will be installed your website will have everything needed to work correctly.
Suggestion for tagDiv:
a. On Newspaper > System Status > PHP extensions you check only for mbstring & GD library and you should check for all PHP extensions needed as long as cPanel WHM / Cloudlinux, Directadmin, Plesk etc change often theirs policy with “default PHP” extensions installed when upgrades PHP version!
b. When a user has problems first, you need to request a System Status screen capture and check the PHP extensions installed!
2. If you use / upgrade to MariaDB 10.2 as SQL database and have problems due to some plugins / (themes) coded previously (older).
For advanced users!
“Upgrading to MariaDB version 10.2 will automatically enable strict mode and remove any existing sql_mode entries in the /etc/my.cnf. This is by-design due how MariaDB implements the change. After the initial upgrade to MariaDB 10.2, you’d need to manually add the following value under the [mysqld] section in the /etc/my.cnf file if you want to revert this change”:

Normally, the Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can, however, use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed.

Sorry but once a demo is loaded the entire demo-style.css file corresponding to that demo will be loaded. If you remove the loading of this file, he demo will no longer receive the specific style. If you do not need to load css, you can simply use the cloud library and import the demo homepage and not use a demo at all on your install.

Try to make a full back up to your database and then, try to make a new install to another sub-domain for testing or for this domain with the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.

When I install other themes it works fine but when I install fast news from the theme panel ( including demo ) it doesn’t work like it shows blank on home page.

Thanks for the link. I installed this plugin AMP plugin. It did give a error of server configuration. “The AMP plugin requires DOM extension in PHP. Please contact your host to install DOM extension.” We have installed required thing now it works perfect with your plugin as well thanks.

I use WordPress 5.0 and I’ve just downloaded the Newspaper 9.2 version.
Every time I try to activate the theme, it does an ERROR 500 (website + wordpress).
When I deactivate Newspaper on the FTP, everything goes back to normal.
I’ve already tried to deactivate all plugins, but it doesn’t change anything.

I inserted it directly into the default editor “[ninja_forms id = 1]”. When viewing in td-composer it appears normal, but when I save it and go back to the editor it is gone. And due to this error stopped working the td-composer. How do I get it back up and running without having to reinstall everything?

If you made update to WordPress 5.0 please make update to the last version of theme too.
Also you can try to deactivate and delete the AMP plugin and see if the error is still there if not try to install the AMP plugin again.
If there is still a problem please provide some more details and some screenshots with the problem you have.
