Hello, I installed WordPress 4.9.4 through FTP. I installed the 8.7.1 newspaper topic (FTP) and enabled the TagDiv plugins Social Counter, Newsletter, Composer and AMP. The error continues to occur.
Just disable the tagDiv Composer plugin so that the error no longer happens.
I’m using PHP version 7.1.

The articles are saved in the server database, they will not be removed when the theme is updated/reinstalled/switched/deleted.
So reinstall the theme, do not make any code modifications to the theme files. There should not be any problem. Check the guide and install by FTP if possible.

The theme will try to update the plugin automatically, but seems sometimes it fails. Try to use FTP to install the composer. Remove the previous plugin folder from the uploads folder (if present) and paste the new one from the latest theme package (unzip it first). A guide for manually installing a plugin here

First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way and if we do not suggest installing it. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please remove all of these because might occurs a lot of interferences in the theme between untested plugins and main theme, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system, clear all the caches and check the results. Please notice that if our theme has been right installed you should not have any kind of issues, sorry! until now, we do not have any bad records in this case, sorry!

In order to achieve the best results after you will install the latest update you have to follow some rigorous steps like this -> you have to delete both of your themes, child theme, and main theme. All your customizations from your Newspaper 3.9.1 theme will do not work because all the files from this were changed in Newspaper 8.6 or 8.7.1 (latest update) and as the main theme and also you lose all changes.
The Newspaper 8.7.1 is a whole new theme so an update from 3.9.1 to 8.7.1 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom CSS will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
Bottom line is that newspaper 8.7.1 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.

Please update your theme to the latest version and test again. 8.7.1 is out and it fixed any known issues with the tagdiv composer and visual composer. Also please update the plugins by deleting the ones you currently have installed now and installing them again from the theme plugins section

Those elements will only be available when the multi-purpose plugin is active. This plugin will also add more row layouts and options in the theme panel. Install and activate the multi-purpose plugin and they will appear

Unfortunately, your footer section seems to be broken, sorry! I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an old version of the theme with the latest version of WordPress and that’s why this problem might occur. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/YGycNuWZ7B Make a full backup to your database and make a new fresh install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. I have Adsense installed in the theme. It works perfectly on the desktop and the mobile homepage. However it is not serving on the article pages. The site is mainstrock.com. I do NOT have any plugins that would interfere with this, and the only thing on my site is Newspaper theme related. As mentioned the mobile ads are working on the homepage, they are just not being served on the article pages – You can see the word Advertising from the widget, but the ad itself is not appearing.

I have identified the problem as being either the td-composer folder, or something in that folder.. why is this happening? clean install, no other plug ins. literally have done nothing with my site other than set up cpanel and wordpress and then ftp the theme since installing didnt work
when I tried to install tagDiv Composer plugin it shows the message “The plugin does not have a valid header.”
@bogdan, thanks for the reply. I already mentioned that I removed the old tagdiv composer, uninstalled the theme > deleted the old theme folder > uploaded the new theme file [downloaded from envato] using FTP > installed the tagdiv manually and I still face the same issue.
I couldn’t see any of the posts and it only loads the title. The homepage generated using tagdiv is also blank. All I can see is category pages, archives, etc. but once I go to any post, it shows as blank.

Already use Yoast from the begining, And try to reinstall it too.
But it doesn’t fix anything.
Got a theme update notice again today, updated theme after clearing cache along with standard process of backup/cleanup etc. As precaution, deleted and reinstalled Tagdiv plugins as was advised during the last update when we encountered issues after theme update.
Post today’s update, noticed a main block of content vanished from the home page. One of the settings “Random Post Today” in Block 3 of “Sort Order” filter was malfunctioning after the update (showing “no post” message in the row) while it worked just fine before today’s update, changed it to a different setting and it worked fine. Tested this multiple times to confirmed the issue.
For Tagdiv, please take a note, test this bug and release fix. Others with a similar config on their sites can take a note and switch to other settings until a stable fix is released.

today I switched the demo on my website from the dark newspaper to the default. I installed it with content. However, now when I wanna make a mega menu… the option is simply vanished, as seen on the screenshot.
Does anybody had the same issue? Any fix for that solution?
