I downloaded the latest version and installed it, but visual composer isn’t updated to the latest version. My child theme is still showing Newspaper 7 and the site isn’t working.

If you want to add something like this in your Main Menu, you should try using a plugin with this functionality, like Font Awesome 4 Menus. Try to install this plugin and find the icon you like and check the results.

Regarding the font issue, please check any custom code you might be using in the theme panel, that could affect the article titles. Also check the theme panel font settings.
For the flashing please try as a first step to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, and clear any caching installed. Then check if the issue is still occurring.

I have the same issue with Block header 1. I need to colour the text and the line but it will only colour the line beneath the text, but not the background of the text itself.

I’m reading through the initial documentation. It says this:
Step 1 – Install both the Visual Composer and tagDiv Composer plugins
I see js_composer.zip and td_composer.zip in the theme plugin directory. I’m assuming td_composer.zip is the the tagDiv composer, correct? If so, what is the Visual Composer?
Also, I installed the js_composer.zip plugin and it says it’s “WPBakery Page Builder.” My guess is that’s a depreciated version that is there for legacy purposes? Is that correct?
Also, am I reading it correctly that I will have to go back and edit any posts that I’ve already created? If so, is there a bulk way to do this? I

My site http://www.baqqit.com is currently running newspaper 8 and I am facing an issue in the theme. My desktop site is automatically converted to mobile theme. I had installed the mobile plugin and I am ok with the mobile site becoming more responsive but why does my desktop site also change?

I have installed the latest version of the theme and also reinstalled the td-composer plugin.
Any ideas?
Seems to be fixed now. I did a full uninstall and reinstall and also uninstalled and then reinstalled WP Supercache. May have been an odd cache issue… Who knows. I hate when I can’t recreate a problem, but it is working now.

Hi! I recently installed Google Invisible reCAPTCHA plugin so I have the WordPress login/register page (https://argentinabursatil.com/wp-login.php) protected as you can see the recaptcha logo at the bottom right of that page.
But I like using the theme login modal for my site and I don’t know if it is working with Google Invisible reCAPTCHA.

I have set up the tagdiv social counter successfully as a widget. That’s fine.
However, I also have set my posts to show the share buttons at the bottom of each post. When I first installed the theme, all the post counts were correct. Later, they all seemed to switch to zero! My latest post has been shared over 200 times so I know the current count of five isn’t corrrect 🙂
Can you suggest what I need to do to fix it? All the social links are correct and the app ID/key etc is correct as shown by the working widget.

Hi,
There have been many changes since version 7.7. The latest theme version is 8.1.1 at the moment. In version 8 the tagDiv composer was introduced as the main page builder

This editor can have an impact on pages created with Visual composer. It is activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. Simply deactivate it in the plugins section and the website should display properly.
Also custom code or theme modifications you might be using with the current version, might not work properly with the latest update. The child theme if used, might need adjustments as well. Use this guide to update the theme

I see that currently that you are using version 8.1 on the website. There are no issues with the homepage that I can see.
That flash could be caused by a plugin conflict. Try deactivating all plugins except theme plugins as a test. Clear any caching installed after this. Then check if the issue is still happening.

It worked for all the months just as you described. I forgot to mention, I did do the plug-in test already as well to make sure it wasn’t a recent update that may have created the issue.
I did have a fully licensed version of VC on the site at one time, but removed it and reinstalled to the included version.

Notice that the Bbpress uses only the default WordPress functionality for Login widget. Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and also, install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results. Also, ensure that you are using the latest child theme version which comes bundled with the latest theme packet.

I have used newspaper theme for about a year and recently upgraded to newspaper 8.
The mega menus were working correctly allowing a scroll to the secondary category but now it’s not allowing the scroll (I dont know if this is related to the upgrade but I doubt it as I did an upgrade for another site without issues)
I’ve re-built menus. I’ve made totally new menus. I’ve reinstalled the theme. I can’t figure it out!
