HI Catalin,

Thanks for your help. I’ve selected Header Style 10 as per your suggestion.

However, I can only achieve this result:

Is it possible for me to have my logo displayed wider? Maybe around 80% of my browser’s width?

The original dimension of the logo image is 1133 x 375.

Hello juwaini,

Please keep in mind that our theme has a lot of header styles and some of them use the logo in full width, as an example -> Header Style 10. Hi guys,
I really love the Newspaper theme. I bought it long time ago but I have finished creating a website now.

I have done to step 4 in from this instruction: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
But my website seems to be still slow.
The consultant from my hosting told me that I have problem with jetpack because it causes this:

Hi
Can you help me to add custom code in the header insted of adsense ads, becose i need to put 9 small icons with different links on it?
So the logo is left and in the right position is the adsense ad, so i want to change this ads with 9 small icons.
I know, i need custom css to made it working.

Mobile footer does not disappear - topic

Essentially, on my new website’s mobile theme I cannot make the footer disappear (not the subfooter, that’s fine). I’d upload screenshot, but it doesn’t let me here. Let me explain: It’s shows my logo, an unclickable “about us” button and “follow us” between my content and before my subfooter.

Now, if I remove my logo altogether on the site, the logo in the footer disappears. If I turn off social icons, the “follow us” button disappears. But I cannot make the “about us” page disappear and nor do I want to turn off my logo altogether. Please anyone help me!

My about me page is called “about” and not “about us” additionally. So frustaring!

Steps I tried:

1) Cache is turned of so all changes appear immediately (but did a cache reset just in case, to no avail)
2) Went to theme panel >footer > turned off footer and even tried turning it on and trying different variations
3) Went to theme panel > mobile theme > made sure no footer menu is selected.

I basically tried going to and configuring every footer or logo related page in theme panel but nothing solved the issue.

The issue is not with the logo only, but the specifically that the footer in the mobile theme does not disappear. In the customize view of my site it’s not visible.

Theme is version 7.4

I’d upload a sceenshot but I can’t here unfortunately.

Anyone can help with this? Would be much appriciated. 🙂

Hello,

For the logo please check the documentation as there is a logo section you can consult: https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
As for the images, you can replace the default placeholder images here: http://screencast.com/t/ZFYxku1ggNs
You will have to keep their name and thumb size though otherwise they will not work.

Hello hemant90,

Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. This is not a right theme behaviour and it is possible that your untested plugins used by you to interact with the theme code and cause this type of error. Try my advice, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. Please notice that I have tested your logo on my side, using the header style 1 and the logo seems to work as properly, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/wXVwVYJqz

If i don’t have featured images in my post, it only shows blank document image on my homepage or featured page. How can I change or replace with my logo?
where should I upload my image for replacing the blank document image if there is no image for the post?

Hi As per your suggestion i did and it worked. Issue solved.

Another issue

When i placed Logo in theme panel it size (272 x 90px) It was not showing complete pic. Please check the links to get to know in detail about the issue.

Hi,

If you do not use a sidebar you should upload images at least 1068 pixels wide. If you use a sidebar you have to upload ad least 696 pixels wide.
As for the logo, There is no specific size. This depends on the screen that you use. Most people have close 1920 x 1080 monitors so about 1920 px should do it. The header style will crop or stretch the logo depending on the screen size. Here is an example of a big logo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_cars/

Hello,

In the default template the logo occupies about 25% of the head on the left hand side and there is the header ad occupying the right three fourths of the section. We would like to modify this for our site. We would like the Logo, still on the left, to occupy 75% of the width and place a AdRotate widget in the right 25% – any suggestions on how to do this, or is there a customization service that could do this for us?

Thanks for the answer. I will look into it. Also I need to edit header as I want to have 2 widgets on left and right side of logo so that I can add my items. I explored files but I am not able to get the files. could you please tell me where I can edit and add widgets and in what file. Once you tell me, I will use that in my child theme.

HI

1. You can set a background image from theme panel > background: http://screencast.com/t/Jcmt0v0mi If you set a background image the header and footer won’t be full width anymore, they will have a boxed layout.

2. Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/KGAq5dmNx4

Hello clarisse_soyez,

I have inspected your website and I noticed that your size logo is very short than the size of header container. As I can see, you have the Cafe demo installed on your side, right? So, please notice that this type of demo uses the logo in full width (using a bit of CSS rule), as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/cPR5lcQSTy So, if you want to use your logo at the initial size, you will have to use the following code, to overwrite the CSS rule from this demo, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/jyM4lJC7V6l

The code is ->

width: initial;
}

The logo was enlarged with that CSS and that’s why you bring a blurry image. If you want to rule out this behaviour, you should use the CSS above or you will add a logo with a higher size of it.

Hi jackchew,

First of all, you will have to disable all the untested plugins which you are using on your side to rule out the conflicting plugins. You will have to install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme if you want to bring good results with the theme. So, please notice that if you have a background image applied to your website, the layout of the theme will be switched in boxed mode. This is the default theme behavior and it cannot be changed very easy because these settings come from java script. I have inspected your website and the logo seems to work as properly.
If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which you are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Hello,

i have disabled the header where the logo is inside, and now the normal header doesent show up … instead always the sticky header shows up.
it should be first normal header, if you scroll down the sticky header with the small logo comes in.

Catalin, I need to know which plugins are conflicting, so I can remove them.

Apart from that I’m building a different site on localhost where I’d like to do the same. Not with bears, but a different logo. That site in construction has exactly the same problem and no other plugins than the Newspaper theme itself. Nothing at all. Even the 2 default WP plugins I keep deactivated.

So I don’t think it’s plugin conflict, unless you can tell me which plugins that might be. Or tell me how to upload a screenshot, so I can show you.
